  1. Oh wow I'm sorry I missed this discussion now. Nobody replied for days so I just figured nobody was interested! Yep, here in Leeds huge swathes of bookies have recently disappeared. Even in the city centre it has all been consolidated instead of there being like 8-10 branches of hills dotted around its now more like 2 or 3 in the whole of the city centre. Just one Coral, one Ladbrokes and one Paddys now too. That part does at least make sense, but I feel bad for all the people that lost their jobs - the industry shouldn't have been allowed to get out of hand like that if they were going to yank it in such draconian style. The maximum win has been £500 for a while, which yes, is ludicrous - sometimes you end up in a feature with 20 spins left which just get binned and the bonus completes at £500 instead... then you've got the mind-numbing delay in between spins, which they try and mitigate by making the money count up and down ultraaaaa sllloowwwllyy..... For all intents and purposes the FOBT scene is as good as dead now. I'm just terrified of any of these controls making it online!
  2. Sorry, where are you and where is cocopop license land?? lol, is that the UK I think from memory? Regulatory creep is a major issue for sure. I made a topic about the likely issue of ridiculous bet limits and forced-time-delays being suggested for online gaming as they have been on the high street already here in the UK, but don't think anybody commented. Might have to go take a look now actually. I'm definitely worried that we could end up heading in the direction of the USA if the left-wing do-gooders have their way.. that would be a disaster.
  3. Yeah, I think we would all love to find some games with a TRTP of over 100%... wouldn't need to go to work anymore for a start would we, could just play slots all day long I do think it is good of casinos to list the "Actual" RTP of their games to give people an idea of which games can potentially get a little bit crazy now and again... it would be helpful for them to list both the Theoretical and Actual next to each other though to help players such as yourself Feeshmon. You can be sure that over the next few days and weeks, the "Actual" RTP will round out, gradually becoming closer and closer to the TRTP as more and more spins are played. Unfortunately the casino may well refresh their stats on a cycle that doesn't make this obvious, but I guarantee you it would happen over the long term if you could see the stats.
  4. I was stupidly lucky on it, way more than Immortal Romance or Thunderstruck2, Finer Reels etc ... that second feature with the running wilds would always throw me something mega on the 13th spin, like ALL THE TIME. So if that's how it was broken I hope they didn't fix it LOL. I should be a bit too old by now but what can I say... never get bored of beautiful women
  5. Wow, I had no idea about that...! Yeah I certainly remember TopGame, makes you realise sometimes a rebrand actually is in the best interests of the players and not just a trick to shake off a bad reputation. That's still going to freak me out whenever I load a Pragmatic Play slot next time though
  6. Any chance of sharing this strategy with us Afi4wins?? Playtech slots I always find to be one of the worst for huuuuuge droughts without the free spins. I do have a habit of playing really crazy games like Great Blue though... even though I know the RTP is shocking too, guess I just can't forget the time it paid me 13,000x in 15x free spins
  7. I completely gave up on Mega Moolah like most other progressive slots as I just don't often bet high enough to give me a reasonable chance of hitting the jackpot rounds when you have other people betting 10-20 times more per spin with the resulting increase in odds.. I know it doesn't always work like that but I'm not keen on receiving 1/10-1/20th of the prize either if the casino chooses to do things that way either... As much as I'd love to win a huge jackpot its just like the lottery for me, the odds are far too high to make it fun in my view.
  8. I see these advertised on TV all the time, Paddy Power I believe are part of the setup, I didn't realise they were shared between multiple casinos though. 50,000x stake though... wow, might after have a blast myself. Does the jackpot ALWAYS drop in the last hour ?
  9. Many places are getting rid of paypal due to them taking the mickey with their vendor rules recently. In particular they no longer refund fees taken for a transaction if the customer cancels their purchase. This isn't a problem for smaller purchases but if, for example, a customer purchases a relatively expensive item... perhaps £1,000, and then decides to cancel the purchase... the vendor is left on the hook for a fee of around £50 for the cancelled purchase... I'm not sure if this is a problem for casinos because of the nature of the product they sell, but I'd guess there's some other crappy rule Paypal are hitting them with out of pure greed!
  10. If your going to play the same bet size regardless of how much you deposit then it really doesn't matter too much... if your going to play higher stakes on larger deposits though then as others have said it's probably worth putting it all in at once and going for broke. Even with £250 starting balance though I wouldn't bet too big, most slots only hit the feature around 1 in 150+ spins, so if you want a decent chance of hitting one you need at least 300 spins at your chosen bet size. Your plentiful treasure slot looks like fun though :) Which casino are you playing at?
  11. Whoa hang on.. Pragmatic Play is the same thing as the old Top Game casinos/slots??? Really?! The OP actually said "Top Gun" so I'm kinda guessing but I can't think what else they could mean.
  12. Oh wow I had no idea there was a bunch of fuss about Microgaming finally converting their games over to HTML5, have they really made that big a mess of it? I'm surprised I haven't noticed, how recently has this happened? I've seen some sites/games run really badly in the past but always put it down to playing on poor equipment, something I pretty much never have to worry about right now. Gonna go take a look anyway... I'll certainly be disappointed if Playboy is broken now, though I haven't played it for several months I was definitely planning to return at some point!
  13. Whats the issue with HTML5 at your end? I've seen some games run horrendously slow on low powered hardware but in general as long as the games are written correctly they should function at least as well as they under the old Flash platform. Keen to hear as I'm writing a lot of HTML5 code at the moment so thanks a lot if you can share your experience!
  14. What was the deal with the cheque they gave you, did it bounce? Did your bank charge you for that as well? Wow I would really hate to have to deal with this kind of *****, I don't think I would gamble online at all if I was going to have to wait for cheques when I won... I'm not sure I believe the thing about about the 4-9 suited though... poker rooms have little incentive to rip you off in that manner, they make their money from the rake - are you suggesting they had a house player at the table who was always going to win I guess?
  15. As mentioned, if they are able to prevent you from depositing, they could certainly prevent you redeeming a code too. At the very least an onscreen warning your about to lose 3K for redeeming a few pennies worth of free spins, would that really be too much to ask? As players we really have to vote with our feet, these kinds of rules are nothing short of predatory and won't stop until we make our feelings known. I was certainly upset about losing so many of my favourite casinos as a result of the UKGC regulations being brought in, but can't deny the whole thing has definitely helped to clear up the industry. ValDes, is your experience that there is still a lot of shady behaviour happening? I'm sure you see and hear about a whole lot more than the rest of us.
  16. Ha yeah I can think of a few sites where this is necessary none of which are gambling related ... that said some of the new "challenger" banks here in the UK are asking for this kind of verification as well now so I think maybe we are just all going to have to get used to it... technology is getting more and more intrusive by the week. I'm sure you have much better casinos you can play so definitely just get your money and play elsewhere, I'd say.
  17. I know just how you feel cocopop... I've been seeing a new lady and she's much more interesting than the slots let me tell you :) Doesn't help that she's also not a fan of my self-destructive hobbies ... well she's not against it just finds it all real boring... I mean whoa whoa how can watching me play poker in the casino for 4 hours ever be boring?!! :) It's always a good idea to make time for yourself though, I suspect that applies in your situation even more than mine... you might literally go insane otherwise. I also play quite a lot at Sky Vegas although I'm a bit annoyed about them removing e-wallets, and now Paypal... I'm not with one of the banks that support their instant card withdrawals but they do get the money back in my Monzo in not much over 24 hours usually so it really could be a whole lot worse. I saw you mentioned losing your whole balance on DoA2, have you had a big win out of it yet ? I've still only had a couple of proper wildlines from it but both were super insane.. (5000x+)
  18. What a scam though...!! Just seizing the entire withdrawal is surely the actions of a shady outfit?! I I can accept cancelling the withdrawal and not allowing a further wd until the wagering on the free spins has been met... What possible fair reason can you give for invalidating the entire amount... Legitimate winnings no doubt obtained through deposited funds...??
  19. So hang on... did the casino do anything wrong to cause this dispute? Did you run into the fact they were not yet properly licensed as a result of some issue you were having or did you just notice this and decide to cause a stink? I can't quite tell from whats written here. You say the casino has confiscated funds, which they deny ... can we get a concise run through of what has occurred here please?
  20. Dont know the casino, but surely they can tell you what stage the withdrawal is at? If its a case of they can't say because its down to the processing times of your bank and so forth then that is fair enough. If they are claiming they can't give you a definitive answer when their own staff will authorise the payment for release, then yes I'd definitely be worried. I don't wish to worry you but the Curacao license they are holding isn't worth the paper it's not printed on, so do be careful where you choose to play in future whatever happens here :S
  21. The headaches are a result of the low refresh rate on current generation equipment... everyone has different levels of susceptibility to those effects, but there is undoubtedly an obvious correlation between the specifications (and therefore price!) of the hardware and the level of negative side effects reported. Once we get to 4k @ 144hz in each eye I believe most people should be comfortable with extended play sessions, but at the moment there isn't any hardware capable of achieving these kinds of specs in anything but the most basic games. It may yet turn out that truly *insane* refresh rates are needed in order to fool the human eye completely. I've yet to try it personally but apparently the new Valve Index runs 144hz and is being touted as the killer step forward we've all been waiting for... but then they said that about the PSVR and its low launch price so again - only time will tell. I'm gonna be real disappointed if you are right though and full immersion VR never actually becomes a thing - as will everyone with shares in pornhub, i suspect
  22. The s ystem that Sky Vegas is using to deposit back into peoples cards is currently exclusive to that casino only and even then, only a couple of banks, I know Barclays works for example but mine doesn't. Bitcoin has a tonne of potential but the volatility is always going to be an issue to mainstream adoption... I sold all mine at around £4,000 per coin though so don't much want to talk about it at the moment :S
  23. ValDes, have you had a blast on any of the modern VR systems? PSVR, Oculus, Vive? Or especially any of the ones currently being offered in specialist arcades? The experience is truly ten levels above what was around back in the 90s and I really believe it's the high barrier to entry that is preventing it taking off in a huge way at the moment. The latest version of the Oculus that doesn't require any of the peripheral hardware to be located around the room, instead keeping all the technology simply in the headset and controllers, is another huge leap forward. It's really not long before you can pop that headset on and find yourself inside a Las Vegas casino full of showgirls... and I know that's going to attract... umm someone ?
  24. The problem with these "system" videos is that there WILL be people daft enough to believe the system can somehow defeat the math and earn them their first million... despite the fact this site isn't called "AskGamblers Yacht Club" for a reason Still, please do tell us about your preferred strategy and how its worked out for you? Personally I just litter the board with chips then pray. Been working pretty sweet so far.
  25. I'd actually say its the opposite still.. many sites were initially designed for laptops and PCs and have poor responsive design elements, meaning they fail to display properly on most other devices on many occasions. A bigger problem still is games which are incompatible with those devices still being served to them, although that issue is quickly disappearing now with Flash being phased out extremely rapidly now. Still extremely annoying with a lot of Microgaming table games though, it's unbelievable they still haven't updated ANY of these games to HTML5 with the deadline for Flash support being pulled from browsers entirely is drawing ever closer.
