Bingo first, then went on to amusement arcades and tried out those old MECHANICAL SLOT machines, those fruit machines with REAL symbols attached to each reel! The age of digital videos has not arrived yet by then! lucks_maximus 1 Quote
Icy Posted March 10 Posted March 10 I went on a voyage through the shiny refreshed fated eyes of poker. 1st poker room was Party Poker. It was quite a mess when I was partially prepared to be familiar to the concept of hand combinations. I was still trying to figure out what a flush was. I know it's suited but what I was trying to figure out was if it needed to be a specific sequence or suit. Then there were "kickers" that blew my mind much more. If jack were the highest to create the flush then it would be a jack high flush, an ace for an ace high flush. I probably lost 60% of my $60 . From there I immediately went onto Party Casino, played Avalon to grant my minimum bets to win 5 queens. My gambling from here amplified and snowballed my lusty degen appetite for more l*cking satisfaction! I was never the same after this. lucks_maximus 1 Quote
loceff13 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 ^^I got into the pokerboom after moneymaker winning the WSOP etc, sadly not as popular or easy to beat as back then. The impact of training sites/HUD's/RTA has kind of ruined online poker for me lucks_maximus 1 Quote
formerPokerpro Posted March 10 Posted March 10 as you can gues by name it all started with poker here too. i was lucky enough to find onlinepoker back in 2005 when it was a land of plenty. super easy to beat (just play tight) lots of insane offers, partypoker had bonuses that were cleared with raked hands, back then raked hand meant that rake was taken from the pot, it was engouh to have been dealt cards to be counted in. 500 raked hands for 100$, this was for several forum sites but everyone could use em. the best part is that these bonuses werent necessary to win big. what a time then i got a casino bonus for free and won around 250$ from 10 free spins. so it started... poker became harder to beat, promos reduced too... slots stayed lucks_maximus 1 Quote
lucks_maximus Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 I first got the idea to try sports betting when I was with my friends: they started talking about stocks and this sparked an idea in my head to gamble on sports (I guess I associated stocks with betting to some degree). I was obsessed with a particular sport throughout my teens and young adulthood (never once having the thought to bet on it until that fated day) and it may have helped me get lucky on my first day of betting. My account was suspended on that very first day before the event was even finished, pending verification (wasn't attempting a withdrawal). Several years later the sportsbook held a promo where you bet on NBA and you get entered into a raffle. I think I just threw a random bet (not interested in basketball) at even odds. I got the lowest prize of 25 free spins on Majestic King (Spinomenal) and this was my first time playing slots (still have the email): No big win, which is probably why I didn't touch slots again for another 2 years after this. Late last year I checked the casino, which I never used to do. I think what spurred me to even check the casino section was some youtube videos I had recently seen on a notorious gambling streamer. This guy was like the poster child of gambling addiction, and his emotions seemed real unlike most streamers. Somehow, that made me curious about the casino section of my sportsbook. Checking the casino offers, there was a Pragmatic-sponsored tournament. The prizes looked decent so I decided to try it. Got 2nd place and started searching up info on slots to see if I can 'prepare' for the next tournament. Found out that there were forums that do contests/giveaways, wow! Obsessively started looking for these. Probably joined 5 different sites in under a week . Now I'm here Quote
formerPokerpro Posted March 11 Posted March 11 nice read @lucks_maximus and now u r kinda "highrolling" already, well at least when i compare u to the regular forum gambler. lucks_maximus 1 Quote
loceff13 Posted March 12 Posted March 12 The only sport I watch enough to bet on is cricket, and thats got enough issues with spot fixing etc lucks_maximus 1 Quote
marius1978 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Growing up, these machines were everywhere and back then there were no KYC, AML or 18+ only, so I was free to uninterrupted spend all my weekly allowances and whatever else might have fallen into my hands on them and indeed I did. Once I hit the 10x max win on this one machine, there was no way back so I still passionately play them now, some 40 odd years later. I am more more of a sports bettor actually and that surely has its thrills but nothing beats the instant gratification/doom and gloom of playing the slots so at any given time, chances are you'll find me spinning along eagerly awaiting the next winning line or, in most cases, preparing my next deposit. lucks_maximus 1 Quote

dawinczo1999 Posted Friday at 09:36 PM Posted Friday at 09:36 PM I started my journey into gambling in 2021 by placing sports bets with online bookmakers. I was encouraged to place my first bet by a promotion offering a free bet for signing up. As you can see from my example, this marketing strategy works, because almost 5 years have passed and I still place bets regularly to this day. Two years later, in 2023, my journey with slots began. I also opened my first casino account after being enticed by a no-deposit bonus for signing up. The situation was that my friend needed money to pay his bills. I decided to help him, so I got him a job chopping and stacking firewood at my brother’s place. It was a dozen or so kilometers from our town, so I drove him there every day, and since I happened to have some free time, I kept him company. I didn’t help him with the work because of my back problems and the idea that the more work he did on his own, the more he’d earn And as I sat there on one of the logs, I thought I’d look for some way to make some money using my smartphone. And that’s when I stumbled upon a no-deposit promotion for signing up at a casino, where you could request a withdrawal without making a deposit. So I created an account and decided to see if this was a viable option. I managed to clear the bonus funds, which had a 40x wagering requirement. I withdrew the equivalent of $50 in my local currency. Then I convinced a friend to sign up; I’d play the slots and withdraw the free funds to his bank account as well. So, a little spinning, and there you go—wagered $50 doesn’t seem like much, but in that situation, it was 10 hours of physical labor working with a tree. And that’s how I had my first experience with slot machines. Then came a few tries at other casinos, followed by my first deposits and my first all-night slot marathons. Now I’m waiting for my first million-dollar win lucks_maximus 1 Quote
Maiwen Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I started in the world of online casinos by playing slots and since then I haven't tried playing blackjack or poker because slots increase the chances of winning with a smaller deposit and add more entertainment and excitement to the game. Quote

formerPokerpro Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago in the looooooooooooooong run poker is the only game that you can beat. you face the casino (rake) and other players. its insanely hard today (imo low stakes like nl5 are harder than nl400 back in 2006) but its beatable. Quote

Dude, what is wrong with you? Are you just lying in wait for someone or something to attack? Maybe you could spend your time on something constructive instead.
