  1. Depends how you want to describe boring? The hit potential in non jackpot based slots probably, though not really checked, outstrips previous games - that's only pertinent if you actually hit on it. There's simply more HV games these days which obviously means longer barren spells, lesser play times and more micro wins - simply can't build an HV beast without them. I think slots X years ago had a spread of the RTP more in the sub 500/x1000x range; meant that while you wouldn't hit a 60,000x plus whopper, you could string out a session longer with 250x wins etc. Move to lottery type odds in slots have been at the expense of session playtimes. Equally they'll be those who think it's good that you can buy a few cars with a 1 quid monster hit. RTP's moving to 90% simply compound that. The rise of 'boring'HV games have been driven partly by the providers/casinos but also players - general sweeping thought that a lot of players, who previously thought 100x was a good win, now want 250x, which then gives way to the need for 500x and so on. You ask a horse racing punter, who rejoices when a 20/1 horse comes in that you were playing a game last night that, for all intents and purposes, 'only' gave you 400x (to them, 400-1), they'd look at you with 2 heads. Seen the breaking up up the big suppliers - MG/Netent to give rise to series of smaller providers: there's a lot more smoke and mirrors with like Laser Fruits 60 million ways to not win but suppose on one hand that, unlike MG who have completely destroyed their catalogue, at least they try new things - might be rubbish in many cases but ho hum. Netent probably have the worse maths model going - games that play as if HV but have LV pays - playing their games, bar 1/2/3 or so, is a pretty turgid affair. You're winning on a game, you're unlikely to find it 'boring', even if the actual game play is pretty drab. It's when you're not winning, or winning little, that you tend to go oh this is *****. Contrary to the terms of a casino etc, i don't think players play predominately to be entertained, they play to win and if their entertained along the way then even better.
  2. And another toodle pip as well
  3. Boats, water, ok beaches and 5p slots What else do u want/need
  4. When i go home i still visit the places from there and take around 50 quid to play - i'm pretty sure the machines now are the same as 20 plus years ago: there's a game called Luxor that had a big chip out of the cancel button and, to this day, the chips still there: whole town has not changed which, weirdly, is quite a nice thing.
  5. Probably around 14: i used to play Snooker (still do - had a 147 break in 2003 - obviously unverified apart from 3 folk ) in various halls in Ireland and they had a room with slots. It was the old 5p Andy Capp/Road Hog AWP's: same as the place i used to go, right beside the beach, for the amusements as it was only 5 mins from my house. They had loads of machines. When the tourists came up during the summer it was payday - we'd sit drinking cokes, waiting for them to lose their money and once they'd gone, swoop in and claim all their coins - the joys of a compensated machine. Although, one time it didn't work out well for me as, not knowing the ones from Belfast had left, i went outside and got a good old fashioned kicking (to be fair, i'd have done the same) Used to be a big deal when i was 16 and starting working so could move from the 5p machines to the 20p Simpsons games: still remember the old traits there: if the name of the game kept on flashing, you didn't cash out - meant the game was paying out the jackpot; which was about 50 quid.
  6. Why are the routine checks not done when i have 5 losing deposits in a row? Why are they not done prior to deposits? Only seems to be at w/d stage: what's changed in the 30 minutes i was allowed to deposit to the time i withdrew? How odd. Up there with 'Escalated to the relevant department', 'random checks', 'Review of possible malfunction' bla de bla de bla
  7. Casumo was a bit of a hot mess last time i checked: - Continued to accept deposits, but no withdrawals SOW pending - that's a outright breach of their LCCP i think Then they stopped taking deposits whilst SOW o/s but still had withdrawal o/s - then they seemed to process with W/D and then restrict the account. However, now seem to be back to having the w/o still held. Topsy Turvey. Their attitude to SOW is weird as well: seen a few folk hand over the kitchen sink to them in say Jan, only to be SOW'd again in March: this is despite the fact, all things being believed, the deposits were funded by winnings (recycled) from the same casino. Sum them up - i wouldn't be confident/have faith in them to pull a SOW request if I won big: that's no better IMO than some rogue joints. Also, they randomly took away from lock withdrawal function from some countries - hmm.....
  8. I was trying to find, in terms of weirdness, the Stakers casino landing page as it had, following their licence suspension, a weird message about 'Choo Choo, the evil UKGC has halted the train' with links to a petition on the GC's incompetence - that's been one of the weirdest casino's positions i've seen. Almost like the management got steaming drunk and were let loose on the developer page of the site. Weirdly now the domain looks like an affiliate site
  9. When i think of Rival casino's i also throw them in the same thoughts as RTG ones and, to a lesser extent, Playtech (though that's more to do with their dodgy Jackpot practices)
  10. Word of caution - even though your Gamstop may finish in 2022 you may find that, upon trying to re-open, many casinos (i think think of a few i've heard of) may not do so - regardless of whether your GS period has finished. You obviously signed up to GS, which is a pretty big step, for a reason so, rather than scouring the web for the 'best' rogue casino, might be better to think why you wanted to stop
  11. Bad programming for the ones that say that - might seem a small thing but still a bit poor. I've been annoyed by less.
  12. Yeah, as V says - up front verification is fine for KYC etc but it won't cut it with some of the others like SOW as it needs to be 'continuous/dynamic/on-going' to be effective. And some casino's are taking extreme advantage of that. Not all but some (Casumo IMO being the worst offender)
  13. Ah...MG...they used to be so good, now? So, so bad
  14. Think the changes in bets these days are due to the changes in variances to an extent - slots back in the day were just as brutal as now. When on my run years ago i was betting 50 quid plus on Ainsworth slots on Bet Victor Now i'm 40p-2 quid, higher if balance permits but definitely my average bet is 1/2 of what it used to be
  15. Im an affiliate - an affiliate of the common man Now, where's my money? Mrs Cocopop said she'd only dump mr Cocopop once i had a job and now i have one
  16. Market saturation and a re-weighing of the scales currently i think. Last time i looked the number of licence holders in the UK was either up or stayed the same - in part, there hasn't been an exodus really and in some ways it's been good to see some of the weaker ones go. As long as they've a strong sportsbook, many will continue but if bets are capped at 2 quid the mood may tilt.
  17. True, There is the delectable Karen Gillian (Doctor Who, Jumanji - Phoar) And me So, that's 2 i count.
  18. If i was programming a slot, with the obvious pseudo-randomness being factored it, it's what i would make sure is the first that was done - everyone knows, as long as you have a good early session in a game at the start, you'll tend to come back and back to it due to your brain neurons. Bad first go - not so much. I wouldn't mind if that was the case - would just mean i wouldn't need to scroll further than 'New Releases' on their games tags. Only flaw in that was that i played some IronDog new release recently and it gave 10% RTP, followed up by an improved 40% and then back down to 30% - what an awful provider btw.
  19. Even the foil was reflecting waves from my head a few times recently: Reactoonz 2 - First session, up nearly 400 quid doing measley 20p spins Morgana Megaways - first day, spin 7 hit 750x in the base and then 3 400x's in the bonus in less than 500 spins: up about 750 quid on low-ish stakes Several others as well Almost like they have 'first week Maths' built into them and then from week 2, normal service resumed. Course we'll never know what hoodwinkery goes on behind the scenes.
  20. Not sure if it's across the board but they're off. No loss IMO Only 2 years they've been about. Not as bad as, i think they were called Breakaway casino (not the UK biscuit), who lasted something mental like 3 weeks
  21. Big Bang was OK for the first few seasons, then it became somewhat of a caricature of itself. I hate most UK comedies: there are a few exceptions down the years; Only Fools and Horses by the great John Sullivan remains one of the best around. We tend to resort to 'in your face'/slapstick comedies over here which are awful - though recently there's been Fleabag etc which have broken the mould, as well as the excellent Peep Show down the years. The Thick of It with Malcom Tucker was a great piece of work, however crude some may find it - some excellent catchphrases to use at work such as 'He's so dense, light bends round him" Veep was excellent as is Curb Your Enthusiasm- the genius of L David is that every one of his unreasonable actions is exactly what most peoples say/want to do. IMO CYE is probably in the top 10 of comedies made in the last 25 years plus. I can't watch fluff like Friends etc, kinda makes me want to barf. We've an Irish Show back home called Mrs Browns' Boys which a lot of people love, but one that made me want to stick cotton buds in my eyes when i was forced to go see the live show. Awful - spend half it outside smoking.
  22. You'll be fine in Scotland - it's very hard to tell the difference between the two with testosterone evenly matched.
  23. They used to be mine when growing up but then the sugar police came around and stole all the sugar from them. The milk used to go dark chocolate but now it just looks like milk with a splash of brown sauce. Same for Fizzy Cola Bottles -they used to be dead tangy and bitter but not now; all we have left is the tasteless world of haribos
