  1. Well if it is a "rule" I'm sure they would be about to lose a whole bunch of players - I haven't managed a withdrawal there myself yet but from what I hear they currently process to e-wallets very quickly - hours, not days - so I find it hard to believe this can apply to all withdrawals.
  2. Actually if the game isn't fair, you absolutely could prove this quite easily - the well known "Wizard of Odds" website has a lot of previous analysis of on-line Blackjack games, he analyses first and seconds cards as well as player hands and overall results. There have been instances of shady casinos offering rigged games but they are few and far between. What software are you playing at present? I have played a LOT of on-line blackjack and found NetEnt and Playtech's to be amongst the worst. I recommend trying Microgaming, in particular the double deck games seem very fair to me. Alternatively why not try the live blackjack games where you can see the dealer handle the cards? I have established there are ways for some of these games to be (theoretically) rigged, but I've never heard of an actual case. It's much slower in terms of hands per hour, but if you will feel more confident playing I'd say that is probably a worthwhile tradeoff.

  6. I think most of us will agree that its difficult to assume pornhub will possess a particularly high moral standing, regardless of what our opinion may be on the rest of their content. It is an intriguing concept for a casino though and one which I myself would probably like to check out, after reading others reviews here at Askgamblers of course. As far as I can tell from a quick browse of the site, all of the games featured are exclusive to their casino and the live casino is their own in-house enterprise as well, so its impossible to make any assumptions from their choice of software. I look forward to reading peoples experiences of playing here
  7. I totally agree with this! Infact I've near enough given up on finding new casinos at the moment if they are not a product of a casino group I am already familiar with as there are just far, far too many "catches" to trip up on when doing so. In particular I really hate the current trend for blocking those who deposit with an e-wallet from using bonuses, I am sure there must be better ways to defeat fraud than this. And wagering requirements are very quickly heading towards blatant "we are taking this deposit whether you like it or not" territory. I absolutely HATE my deposited funds being included in the wagering requirement, when you calculate it as x bonus only it often ends up as over x100 wagering now, and if you are getting a bonus of less than 100% with a deposit plus bonus wagering requirement... you are completely crazy to accept it. Stick to the good guys, thats my advice! And always read the terms VERY carefully before taking ANY bonus these days.
  8. I deposited £15 at Stan James last week and went straight to Blackjack, withdrawing £96 after less than ten minutes of play. I had been looking forward to a bit of a session, but managed to hit £125 or so very quickly after increasing my bets rapidly on blackjack and then ran 100 spins through playboy which hit nothing good so decided to quit with my 6.5x deposit profit Prior to that, I had 15 free spins from Videoslots which gave me a balance of £8ish, I was really skint that day and so again went over to the blackjack in the hope of reaching the £20 minimum withdrawal amount - as soon as I saw £21 in my account I hit withdraw and went and bought myself some food, beer and cigarettes, extremely grateful to VS for that one! Its nice to remember these good experiences as of course I've lost a fair few deposits the past few weeks as well
  9. I hope you are able to get your money back. The fact is, if you had won and was in a position to withdraw, this casino would most certainly have denied your request and returned your deposit - therefore, it would only be fair that they do the same thing as you have lost your money. Nevertheless not all casinos choose to play fair Please do let us know what happens here, as situations like this say more about the trustworthiness of a brand than pretty much anything else.
  10. I like to try new games when the opportunity arises, but I refuse to ever be the guinea pig for unknown software by playing at previously unknown casinos. If any of my favourite casinos gets a bunch of new slots then I feel I can trust those games by fact that a brand I trust has chosen to offer them. Then you have brands such as Rival, who seem to have a great number of interesting slots and games of excellent quality (their video poker and blackjack are some of the best around, I think), but yet I can't play them because I won't play at a casino I cannot trust to pay out my winnings in a timely manner.
  11. This is a great guide, and highlights a lot of the potential pitfalls and problems that can cause problems for those new to on-line gambling. All I would add to the discussion is that myself personally I feel that with so many on-line casinos now being able to process out withdrawals within 24 hours - some within mere minutes - I can't see any reason to choose those that still take several days (or even longe rin the worst, most extreme cases!) to get your winngs paid out! My favourites in terms of withdrawals right now, in order of processing speed (at least in my experience) would be Videoslots, Guts, Bet.AT, Paddy Power and Stan James. I also have a lot of respect for casinos such as Redbet who allow their support staff to process lower value withdrawals immediately. We all gamble in the hope of winning a little extra cash, and for me, the quicker I can receive that extra cash the higher the possibility I will call it a day and withdraw when I have made a reasonable profit - if I know I have to wait two or three days to receive the money then a profit of say, £100, doesn't seem quite as attractive and I will often keep playing in the hope of achieving £500, or £1000 of withdrawable funds, which so often leaves me with nothing. Even my old favourite 32red receives far less business from me since they introduced their 24 hour pending period, though I still regard that as being acceptable - JUST! All the same, I play there far less than I used to as a result of that policy and especially their refusal to offer manual flushing.
  12. This is a really great thread and I'm sure that it will help a lot of people who are perhaps wondering to themselves if they are gambling too much or if their gambling has become problematic. Whilst I don't feel I have a "gambling problem", I will admit that reading the part titled "How do I know if I'm addicted" shook me up a little. The post suggests that agreeing with one or two of the statements listed indicates you are a "risk" gambler, but I think that all of us have frequent thoughts about our gambling experiences sometimes (the first point), the vast majority of us will have reversed a withdrawal in the past, often to chase losses (point five), and I don't personally think that it is all that wrong to view gambling as an escape or a way to improve my mood (point four) - it is a form of entertainment afterall. I also think that wanting to play larger bets is a common reaction to a large win at higher stakes (point two) although as a low-roller, that doesn't affect me so much, but my point is that there is likely many players who are not problem gamblers who might be familiar with several of the statements listed. Of course there are many very serious issues pointed out too - personally I would say anybody who risks losing their job or relationship for a bet has a major problem on that basis alone, likewise those who will break the law to gamble, or has to borrow money to pay their rent because they gambled it away or anybody who feels the need to build a questionable narrative to family and friends to hide their gambling. Nevertheless, I think that its important all these issues are listed together but it definitely highlights where the lesser problems can eventually lead, and as outrageous as the more serious ones sound to me right now, I've seen people go down that dark path in the past, people who I'd never, ever have suspected could fall victim to gambling addiction, so I know first hand how powerful it can be. Gambling addiction really is extremely similar to substance addiction, and so clearly has the potential to be very dangerous - education and regulation are the best tools to fight this though, banning on-line gambling altogether like in the States is the nanny state gone mad in my opinion.
  13. Oh dear Sorenjo that is as tragic story indeed. I'm a little annoyed with myself today after wasting £40 that I had other plans for (it was of still of course leisure money) in the hunt for a decent win, which has caused me more than a little grief today... I can't even imagine the stress you must be feeling having lost 10k. In all honest with losses of that magnitude I really think you should be considering giving up gambling for a while if not for good, sorry if that sounds partronising but that has to be a reasonable percentage of your annual income surely... losing it all in a gambling spree is outrageous.
  14. Not sure if there is the right place to post this so Dan I apologise if not but is there any possibility of lowering the requirements for participating in "battle of slots" ??? £20 per week seems very reasonable but a wagering expectation of £200 each week is a little on the high side for those of us who are only depositing £10/£20 a couple of times per month... sure its all good when we are running hot but the rest of the time it can be very disappointing. I love this feature of your site but would like to see it a little more accessible to everybody you know?
  15. Theres really little difference between most on-line casinos in terms of table games ,though personally I would choose to spend my money playing the Microgaming versions any day of the week without question. The live casino games are also an excellent option but much, much slower, and it might just drive you crazy waiting those 90-120 seconds in between each spin of the ball. As with the slots, the casinos have zero control over what results pop in on each spin, so don't trouble yourself with all that "its rigged" nonsense you hear so often online. If you just can't accept your getting a fair game, for w hatever reason, make yourself a tin foil hat and play the live version ... just watch out for those sexy ladies pulling tricks on you inbetween flashing you a bit of side boob!!!
  16. If your really serious about something like this then it is probably worth setting up your own 'affiliate' scheme with the casinos, but if your just talking the odd friend here and there that might just be overkill. I'm not sure how much detail I should go into regarding these matters here either but what I will say is, don't even think about using this as a way of getting yourself a few extra gambling bucks. Casinos aren't stupid and inevitably you will get caught if you were to try anything underhand.... not saying you would, of course
  17. Self excluding should be an absolute last resort, basically only do it if you DO have a gambling problem or don't feel in control of your own finances to the extent you dont trust yourself not to gamble money you can ill afford to lose. It can only cause you trouble down the line. On a connected note, my boyfriend is a web developer and likes a gamble himself and has been working on a browser plugin that alerts you to all of the related properties whenever you open the gambling site. If anybody here would be interested in such a tool, I believe he is intending on releasing a beta very soon
  18. Aside from the super obvious solution of choosing to play only at those casinos who do not offer a reverse option - something becoming more and more rare these days - your best options are undoubtedly, a) Play only at casinos that pay out VERY fast... okay sure, you can redeposit again very quickly if you wish out somehow that does not give you quite the same sinking feeling that reversing and losing all your cash before it is even "yours" seems to do... Choose casinos that offer manual flushing so that temptation cannot possibly get the better of you whilst your waiting for the funds to turn up, and , c) If your playing at a trustworthy casino, its usually safe to take advantage of the "Take a break" option whilst waiting for your withdrawal to show up. Personally I'm on the biggest losing streak of my gambling career right now so I'd just be happy to reach the cashout stage in the first place!

  20. I had to laugh at the title of this topic - can you trust a blacklisted casino??? Well I think the obvious answer is "***** no!" isn't it?! If you doubt the opinion given of a particular casino here at AskGamblers you could possibly search elsewhere online using google to see if the casino in question is blacklisted elsewhere, but why even take the time? There are plenty of great trustworthy casinos to play at,. I guess in your specific case though you have some no deposit bonus funds which are supposedly available for withdrawal, and your question is should you make the small deposit in order to withdraw those funds - which puts you in a tougher spot as it of course plays on us humans desire for easy/free money! If you have to make say a £10 deposit to withdraw £100, then it may be worth taking the risk I think - though you could still search the web to see if ANYBODY ever gets paid by WinPalace, or if they are just a total scam joint. As far as I have heard, these guys do pay eventually if its not a huge amount, but will stall and create obstacles whenever possible, basically just a bunch of chancers, so proceed with caution!
  21. Do you still have ANY accounts with the bank the card was issued by? If you do it will potentially be easier to get the whole mess sorted if the money is not returned to the casino. The most likely outcome is that the payment will "bounce" and be returned to the casino, but it could also find itself in a holding account with the bank, if that happens you will need to talk to them to see what can be done. I've had something similar before whereby I requested a withdrawal and chose the card option not realising that I had not updated my debit card details at the casino, but the bank still processed the payment into my account - I had a new debit card attached to the same account so there was no problem. I'm guessing your situation is more complex than this though?
  22. Its always awesome to get a withdrawal from a no deposit bonus, and sadly its a pretty rare event so enjoy the moment! You were fortunate to not even have to make a deposit, I guess they had enough information/documentation from you that it wasn't necessary. SCORE!
  23. Agree with many others posters, Dead or Alive can often give plenty of playtime on 0.09 spins even with just a fiver in the bank, and the 9-liner MG slots eg Break Da Bank Again and Thunderstruck would also be good choices. One thing I have come to understand is that there are often games which allow you to adjust the number of lines, but if you do so you can actually alter the games RTP thus giving yourself a bad deal. I only know one specific example which is Frankenstein (NetEnt), the "electric" wilds which randomly spread to other spaces on the reels cause the effect in that game... so if your going to play games with less than maximum lines to try and stretch your money, I would recommend doing a little research first or at least sticking to games without too many fancy features as those are the ones where playing less lines is most likely to affect your return percentage.
  24. I would definitely be panicking if they sent me back my deposit amount only ... they sure know how to make a player sweat! I really hope they send you the rest of your money. I haven't really played a whole lot in 888s casino, but I did frequent their poker for a while, and whilst I always got my withdrawals, they sure were SLOW compared to the vast majority of other sites I play at ... I'm talking like 7-10 days to get the money in the bank, with the funds showing as reversible for almost the whole time proving that the delay is entirely at their end and nothing to do with their financial procedures. Considering the size of their business they absolutely could process withdrawals near enough instantly if they wanted to as PokerStars do - they simply don't wish to offer a better service to their customers,
  25. I'm not excited by this news at all.. I also wonder the consequences will be Paddy Power in that many sites list Betfair in the untrusted/rogue section due to previous player issues whilst Paddy is normally very highly ranked and trusted ... I guess they don't think it will affect them too badly ... I just hope that Paddy is the dominant partner in this deal, if thats the case I do expect at least some improvements for players as a result, and Betfair customers should benefit from the better customer service and promotions offered by Paddy!
