  1. That's worse than here tbf. The UK will probably try to outstrip that, though they may settle on 2 quid max The 5 seconds is a real killer - try a Stakelogic game and see what it feels like. I've had friends abroad who have gone 'HAHA, in the UK x,y,z' and i remember saying i wouldn't be so smug as where one regulator leads, others tend to follow. It's absolute bonkers - as a Regulator you want to ensure that players play in a regulated market with protections (within reasonable constraints), not drive them to some Costa Rica dive and that's all that achieves. It's not there to safeguard people, i don't know what it's meant to achieve other than to inflate egos. What's more concerning is how these are being implemented with very little evidence: where the empirical studies around stake size, 5 seconds? Very few, if any. So who's coming up with it? Pressure Groups? Who knows.
  2. Anyone but 1x bet would be a step in the right direction. Depends where you're from but Unibet, Novibet, Sky etc all have sound sports book- Novibet give you quite a lot of perks re their sporting as well. The Mr Green/William Hill/Caesars (whoever owns them atm) also have a fine book.
  3. Viva the 4th Industrial Revolution. See now the talk is shifting from the immediate effects of Covid to now a narrative of Long Term Effects - hmm.
  4. Not enough data on it atm to say hot/cold conclusions: maybe will know more come next year but for now they're not even sure if the colder months will increase production (certainly was the case last time i skimmed the CDC report).
  5. I think if you play at the above casino you only do it for the reason mentioned - you actively have to look them out to even find them. Nice little SEO by some of these scummy affiliates as well - there's a few 'reputable' casino's being promoted by some of these reprobates (given the targeting/marketing, probably breaching something of their licence as well), which says it all: $$$$ must talk In an ideal world people would stop feeding them, but that's never going to happen.
  6. In short, no -little or no point lodging complaints (they'll just ignore) and pretty much you're at their mercy should they wish to pay you: like i said, not them specifically, but casino's of that ilk have no qualms about just not paying as they know there's nothing you can do about it.
  7. Think it's 1% for deposits but what more gets me is the 5 GBP for bank transfers and 7.5% for the withdrawals: certainly UK wise i see no reason to pay it; throwing away money. Coupled with the fact that e wallets are usually banned here for claiming a bonus, the incentive for using dwindles every further. I'm still surprised, again UK, that many still use given the roll out of VISA Direct and a few excellent UK facing casino's that take Paypal (should you wish to use an e wallet), as well as Trustly.
  8. How much is it for? The modus operandi of a lot of these places is to maybe process smaller withdrawals up to a point, to entice you to come back and deposit more and then pull out the trickster card from the deck. Seem similar casinos having like a 500 euro etc ceiling but when the 2/3/4k's withdrawals come, nada.
  9. E wallets are such a rip off. Last deposited using Skrill about 2 years ago - literally have no incentive to ever use again , nor will i ever (prob a UK thing as i get why in some places it may be needed)
  10. Better a gut punch than a sucka punch when it comes to withdrawals End of the day, some casinos thrive off this - they may pay you the first few 200 withdrawals but it's just to lure you in, then be hit by the 'no withdrawal'. Then we'll be talking about chargebacks etc and the perpetual cycle continues. Some casino's steal from you during games (pirated games like GT), some do it by invoking obscure terms when it comes to withdrawals: rather than physical and mental anguish, put slots/casinos in the rear review mirror: climb a hill, walk the Loch's, go fishing, whatever.
  11. Are you UK? That's the only reason i can assume you'd even contemplate it. Yes, they're as dodgy as a 10 day old Chinese meal Have quite a few unscrupulous affiliates promoting them as below: presumably the casino approves such, which tells you all you need to know: affpower, accept UK, Non Gamstop casino - these aren't so much as a single red flag as a Red Sea a la the Bible. Play there if you wish, just don't expect to get paid. And if you give them data, have a high expectation it'll be sold. But, apart from that, they look great. Woohoo.
  12. Also note that Energy Casino offer that bonus structure (IMO the best bonus as Fiekie has said as it gives you the best of both worlds: the ability to cash out but, unlike a parachute bonus, you are using the bonus funds from the start as well)
  13. The only downside with Casumo's is the high wagering 30+30, but tbh it's gambling:the whole point is that it allows you to play with bets larger than normal. You hit a 2000x quid on 2 quid, get 4k: 2k in real funds and 2k in bonus: some people will moan ah but the 2k is now in bonus but tbh i don't mind that, it's, in the past, then allowed me to roll for the best part at 2-4 quid and, w/o stats just memory, if i've gotten that high up, 60x wagering or not, i normally manage to cash out more than the 2k real (had i cashed out the real funds) - plus, when you do bet 2 quid, you'e actually only betting 1 quid from your real funds (other quid being taken from the bonus funds): essentially it's allowing you to place a bet of 2 quid for the price of a quid, if that makes sense.
  14. Is it not the case that a few folk did some digging and were drawing lines to Gametech? - Terrible company right there, as opposed to those casino's being found to have ben engaged in such? Not sure how true that is - though, knowing the person who looked into it, i would tend to hedge bets on them having cause to say so.
  15. Think that's a fair point Afi and there will be others, balancing the tight rope between playing and not playing, who may well have that decision made for them - online at least anyway. Coupled with the unplayable 3 second spins by some providers, SOW, lack of any form of player retention etc, with lowering RTP's etc (many UK tbf): it is getting to the opportune time. Got an email in from Grosvenor that said if i go down to the Land Based i'll get a 50 quid slot voucher if between certain times, together with 20 free roulette chips - it was the first offer in ages that made me go 'oh, might do that' Problem is not everyone will want to go online to Land for many reasons but still: never thought we'd get to the point where i, having played both, would start to see LB as being more attractive. Might not make much of a difference to 'newbie' players but for those of us who played through the Golden Age :-), the difference is striking getting
  16. Never mind minimum stakes, didn't know that now MG are re-releasing games with 93% RTP until the other day. At this rate BTG are going to be the only ones holding firm at 96% - don't know what it says about the world when BTG are the last bastions of decency
  17. They part of the same group? Not seen any changes to min stakes around 3/4 other groups here.
  18. The review of the Gambling Act will probably have more effect than anything coming up - words are that Boris himself, you know, the incompetent Mr Bean figure, is taking a keen interest because, in the words of an MP, he sees it as 'people being exploited' - quite an irony that a Tory, whose party has exploitation as a founding pillar of their prawn sandwich brigade, suddenly has an issue with this, but ho hum (he didn't seem too fussed with the exploitation of poorly paid social care workers up until Covid, funnily enough). My guess it wont be a simply updating of the Act but a complete re-haul - it was introduced under Tony Blair who, despite being lucky not to be in the Hague, did understand business and is relatively liberal in terms of allowing businesses to function. The House of Lords seems to be a bit of a problem, having a weird interest in all this. Quite ironic again that the UK, needing to break from from the shackles of an unelected EU (apparently), seems quite content to have, er, unelected landed gentry sticking their post retirement noses into things. Lord Foster was out recently saying that casinos were 'cashing in' on the pandemic and putting 'peoples' lives at risk. What utter tosh and again, the use of such emotive words to further an agenda - does Lord Foster play Bonanza on auto spin? Is he a fan of NYX or Quickfire? He probably doesn't even know who BTG are (lucky him, probably why he's a rich toff to be fair) Then we have Labour's Tom Watson, a man who described casino's as dirty, money grabbing xyz...now becoming an advisor at the Betfair Group - couldn't make it up. The only money grabbing cretins here are the politicians (and some casinos tbf) To give the GC a bit of leeway, they are caught somewhere between the reporting to Parliament (well, in as far as a non government body is/should) and the industry - there was criticism of them in the last report because the politicians didn't like the fact the 18m of licence fees was only something like 0.2% of the Gross yield (11 billion?) and they wanted more to divert into problem gambling but the GC seemingly didn't want this.
  19. Should probably note that a lot of casinos here in the UK are imposing limits now, subject to you sending them your tax returns etc - first seen it with Slotsmillion, then Casumo; been a few since then such as LV Bet are now doing it as well. Though, how they set them without knowing your expenses (tempting fate), doesn't make sense - i could earn 20k a year and have no expenses but have a higher disposable income than someone mortgaged up to the eyeballs on 300k a year etc. But i get why they're doing it. The UKGC has approx 18 million quid coming in as revenue - 16 of that comes from licence fees - seems odd that you'd then start implementing various things that could potentially see that 16 million drop and drop - think the term is Turkey's and Xmas. Presumably they have a half decent finance team so would be interesting to know if any of those chimed in on their board meetings and went 'Er, you might want to rethink that'.
  20. Well you can't blame the UKGC for IGame as they don't have a UK licence Seems to be a lot of switching of platforms at the moment; few moving away from Aspire Global, Dunder changing etc as well. Looks like they're all shuffling for position at the moment. Those 2.5 second spins are murder - was playing a Stakelogic game the other day and the delay both during and after the spins amounts to basically a 6 second delay nearly; not overstating it when you say it's unplayable.
  21. more likely the casino(s) - still same minimum bets here
  22. There's something for their Data Protection Officer to look into - why is your data still being processed (to send out the promo emails) despite the a/c being closed. Volt casino above were ok - then they implemented the weirdest, hard to understand, loyalty scheme where you built a city and had key indicators such as 'happy' ratings across the population. To this day i still hadn't worked out of i could trade my coins/whatever it was, for 10 FS in Starburst. I asked their CS if a PHD and Masters was a pre-requisite for understanding how it works and they said that their customers understood it and it was intuitive (wotevs ) - aye, if you dug up Hawking he may have got it, but we'll never know.
  23. Think Calzone Casino are offski as well...though they 'May' be back they say. No they won't - why would you.
  24. The only feature buys i have a mild disapproval of are No Limit City's - i mean, 750x? Come on - probably set at that with the Streamer 'community' in mind. Most of the old slots with buy features, now removed, are unplayable - aka White Rabbit - probably the fairest of them all; 100x and it normally came in on 75x on average. Without the option to buy it's unplayable as the base games awful. Literally. Nothing happens. I think the removal of it here based upon RG concerns is a bit of a stretch but apparently that's why. I'm more likely to sit and bang my head against a wall chasing a feature than, upon being able to buy a few and they pay rubbish, simply walking away. There will always be the thought that where there is a buy a feature, the maths has been tweaked/harder to bonus organically etc - when i used to see a buy feature i'd go 'May as well buy it, cos i'll not be able to trigger it normally'. Bit like casinos heroes introducing the super hyper spins where you didn't see the game, another move-ish to a more scratchcard feel of slots. 3 Dice, when we could play there in the UK, had more LV type games: unlikely to hit on some of them above 250x but there's a lot of action in between, for those who want a bit of play time. That being said, you go into some Bingo sites, like Tombola and you'll see some slots with RTP of 98% - there is a bit of hyprocrisy by players though who will, on one hand, shout 'NO PLAY TIME, DEPOSIT GONE IN 10 MINS', yet when you say 'Hey there's a site with 98% RTP games plus?' will then say, no point playing there, you can't hit massive...which ones do you want then
  25. The Megaways makeover is getting saturated now - I don't blame providers; it's what, per their research, that a lot of players want (even if they have their critics) - it's also cheap i think: take a game and slap a bit of MW's on it: little cost and you've got a game that will probably do alright. It'll pass - the same way 9 liners, all the way through to 247 ways, which then gave away to MW's etc: cyclical: probably got a good few years left in it though. After that? Who knows.
