  1. Drunkard thrown OUT by a bouncer; not UP: that would be a Copperfield illusion
  2. I have raised this before in a thread because of the ambiguity of this term ‘in play’. Some casinos take it as bonus money in account and some only if you use it : Redbet, I can play DOA with bonus money in account as it doesn’t show. Some sites will say you cannot play with bonus funds in account. That’s pretty clear - don’t play restricted games even if bonus money not touched. For me in play means you’re in it. Any reasonable person I think would say that. At your point in betting, with real cash, it can’t be in play because it’s not being used: providing it works like that. It isn’t clear to me - I can see a bit how you could say the bonus is in play by virtue of it being in your account but yeah... Thats why I always check with the casino before that happens. The term in play is an idiom - meaning in action. Not using it, can’t be in action ? I’d like to see cases like this in front of a contract lawyer: pretty sure it’d find in favour of the player if you never touched it.
  3. Aye; shops been shut, hence why it’s er shutting up ? Last orders, doors closed, last drunkard thrown up by the bouncers. Banjaxxed. Kaput. Gone with the wind.
  4. I think we can all agree that the SE/RG is a bit of a mess at the moment. Both players and casinos need to get it together. Be in players who are trying to free roll off the casino in the hope that they miss something and process the withdrawal and casinos in actually implementing decent SE controls. The latter, whilst obviously powerless against folk who falsify data, would really combat the former, leaving only those who have intentionally tried to circumvent for their own personal gain - and they can lose their money that way for all i care. I've no doubt that there are professional syndicates targeting casinos in this manner. People move house for example so your address may not be the same but there should be some name-DOB flag that happens in order to look at it. To be fair, it's getting a bit better. More SE is being picked up at registration. I remember the days of Every Matrix and their blase approach to it. Now, with the fines being dished up, casinos are more atuned to it. Said before - personal responsibility is all but gone in this world. When i was a kid i smashed by front teeth being tripping over a kerb. Now? The parents are on the phone to the local council asking for when the kerb (despite me being a plonker on my bike) was last inspected. If there are potholes in the roads people are nearly queuing up to fall down them to claim - it's just where we are now.
  5. Haha good catch, never noticed that.... Chosing a casino may be the least of his problems when the guy says ‘yes, I know this isn’t a main road: it’s a shortcut, trust me’ Eek
  6. If you check casino.com for example you’ll see that under their RG controls they explicitly state that ‘loss limits only apply to the brand that they were actioned’
  7. If from the U.K., this is the GC’s statement on it in their technical RT document: In addition: i. limits may be implemented per customer, per account, or other means ii. limits could also be implemented across all products or channels or for individual products or channels. Where limits are also set across separate products it should be clear to customers using the facility that a limit will need to be set for each individuals product. For example, where a limit has been set for a specific game a customer should not be misled into assuming that the limit automatically applies to other products. iii. financial limit facilities should be provided via a link on the home page iv. facilities should be available on deposit pages/screens or via a link on these pages/screens v. where a customer sets simultaneous time frames, for example a daily deposit limit and a weekly limit, the lowest limit should always apply. Therefore if a daily deposit limit of £10 and a weekly limit of £100 are both set then the maximum the system should allow to be deposited is £10 per day and £70 per week. I’ve never really used so cant comment with any confidence: They don’t specify exactly if it applies to other casinos in the group : though I’d be surprised if it applies across casinos as per my other comment in another thread. Reading it tho... all products (does this mean all casinos under the license? Or just games/casino/sports book ).
  8. You’d need to check the ts and cs but generally no; they’re specific to that casino.
  9. I could be wrong - the immediate bit reads as you can change the limits (up or down) at any time and then subject to the 24 hour cooling period....so, not retrospective as to include deposits made before the request. Must admit to say 'immediately' and then in the next sentence say '24hour cool down period', kinda means it's not immediate ? Personally I've never seen a casino apply a loss limit to include depo's made before the request.
  10. I normally get informed by my bank of said losing: usually in the form of 'Payment Declined' Half expecting the payment terminal to flash up with MY RTP and a laughing face
  11. Never heard of it and I know most casinos. The one you've called is an affiliate review site....are you sure you're not trying to promote it?? Some dubious reviews on there as well - 888 with a 4.2/5? Someone must have a sense of humour.
  12. I think the deposit limit kicked in after your deposits as that's when they were set...emphasis on I think. I'll disagree a tad with Valdes re the SE - name/DOB/address i presume are the key data indicators for casinos to pick up on SE. I would be very surprised if MGA/UKGC thought that it was OK for a casino not to pick up on a SE due to the fact someone used 2 different cards across 2 sites. It's a bit like saying 'Hey, we matched your name/dob/address but as you didn't use the same card we thought it was a different person and our systems never flagged you'. Same for email - things like that change: unless you falsify your DOB in the other site, that can't. Side note - Gamstop is extremely flawed regarding identification but i don't think you used that.
  13. Just a tad late....still a way to go until you get to RyanAir levels of lateness ?
  14. Has this not been in effect for like 12 months or something?? OP's copied and pasted the VS email i think.
  15. Was just going to say that it's a net loss limit (which IMO is a waste of time in terms of RG Controls). You deposit 50 with LL of 50, win 5000 - means that you can then proceed to spunk the 5050 back in before takes effect - wagering limits are better in situations like this: win big, either withdraw or immediately set a wager limit (deposit limits would be pointless here). Other thing is AFAIK, the limits only take effect once activated. Unfortunately cos of the reversal back into your account you hadn't actually lost anything - only have been if you went 4,700 down i believe - in effect you started the day off 4,500 'up'. Sucks but that's what it is unfortunately.
  16. For starters, I'd be very skeptical about any gambling stats quoted by some of the media - papers like the Guardian, and even the BBC, seem content to pursue a tilted agenda of Big Government. In todays era we have all devolved, bereft of any ability to think for ourselves and thus requiring the firm hand of our Uberlords. 25% of under 18's are addicted to gambling? Really? If it says that I pay little attention to it unless I understand the criteria and underlying assumptions/veracity of the information. Some International Federation (sounds a little Star Wars), I don't see doing anything. I don't think such a thing would a. work practically in todays era but, more importantly, I simply don't agree with it. You're correct in the sense that some jurisdictions have stronger underage gambling controls than others. The UK, though flawed, has a decent KYC structure in place without adding another needless bureaucracy. It really would serve no purpose IMHO. Some places would let a dog register an account. Dodgy casinos will let anyone play - period, IF or no IF. In a similar vein, I watch something last year whereby the parents of a kid who was something like 19 stone at 13, state that it was great news that the Sugar Tax was coming in as they blamed company's for their child being clinically obese. Really? At 13, like gambling, where do they get the cash? Transpired that it was parents feeding him ***** all day, every day ? Rising alcoholism? Don't look at the social structures that are failing - just set minimum pricing etc. That's where we are in society now - finger pointing. As for leaving the EU - given that our MP's can't even put together something that they've know was happening for two years, I think any changes to our Gambling Legislation are likely to occur in 2075 at this rate? (AML will apply regardless as it is. Same for GDPR etc)
  17. I wouldn't be too enamoured to run back to them if they closed not so long ago to be honest... As for Codeta - only thing surprising is that they made it past the new year as i think they've been struggling for 6-9 months Think the warning signs generally are: Cashouts fast to slow - check Offers, now no offers - check Providers suddenly disappear and re-appear - check Generally, correspondence starts to slow. Once the UKGC finishes with their RG Fetish, they can maybe start to look at some of these places starting to display the telltale signs of financial distress - most casinos have the very basic level of segregation of funds which is, lets face it, no protection. So if accounts and winnings aren't transferred there's a real risk the money is gone. Oh....and another one that went recently was Freaky Vegas - Lord knows why it was even set up *quizzical eyebrow raised* Starting to wonder if every casino that has Vegas in it is a bit dicey ?
  18. As expected.... Codeta are gone - Now over to Jetbull. Another one bites the dust for EM. Think it'd been ongoing for a while - Still were accepting players up until the last minutes even though in financial diffs - UKGC must only be concerned with RG?
  19. In Short No, unless: 1. You did it via Gamstop (UK National Self Exclusion scheme), if UK 2. Leovegas buy over Caddell/WHG (Spinstation) and apply the SE to them. Breaches of SE only apply if on the same licence but as THG says above, more and more casinos are applying it across their entire group - even if not on the same licence. Eg. LV and Royal Panda have two separate ones but the SE is now applied across both - not a regulatory thing but a policy they've obviously decided upon. PS - always read t's and c's, it will save you a lot of heartbreak in the future. PPS - think why you SE in the first place and if you should be playing at all (not being condescending)
  20. Probably, as well, telling people something they already know but just be aware that gambling transactions aren't particularly well received by financial institutions on things like bank statements (which is ironic as well, investment banking never made a balls up with gambling a decade or so ago did they ) Will be fine for most personal loan applications/credit card applications but for mortgaging et al, keep an eye out. Same for many credit cards - even if you pay on time and in full and use for casino's, you may find some don't increase limits/offer better rates based on the activity. Minor derail
  21. I'm sure there are - Casinomax? Bodog? Depends where in the US you are though. I don't know how generous their offers are but to be honest I don't care - 2 months to get paid is absolute madness.
  22. I think Shadowbet thought they'd it in the bag with their amazing Xmas offers - boy they were bad Wish Slotsmillion would get their act together - they could/can be one of the best but they've gone backwards since UK inception.
  23. Theaverageguy is a member on here from Canada, I'm sure he'll respond...... Should be noted that some banks here in the UK are embarking upon closing peoples accounts with a lot of gambling transactions - whether it's due to thinking they're laundering or financing terrorists, I don't know, but that's with it being legal.
  24. That's the thing - they are decent, nothing more, nothing less. A casino must have a selling point, a reason why you deposit: VS - battles, spins, SNG's that can lead to 1k withdrawals from 100 quid wins. Trada - promo's are usually good, excellent CS, can deposit fiver's! Probably the fairest of most IMO. If they sorted out their quickspin i'd play more often. Even Casumo, like or loathe, have races that can pay off etc. Must admit i struggle to differentiate between a lot of casino's these days. They've all kinda morphed into one. Years ago if you asked me who was my favourite I'd say without hesitation. Now, they're all kinda similar. Hate to say it but pound for pound, if you're looking to squeeze the most out of your budget, William Hill probably offer the best value (for UK - i can't comment on the 1 billion Direx sites). They're bonus and gift daft atm. All have different likes when it comes to casinos. For some it's withdrawal speed (not mine), for some is the little perks (mine) and well, sometimes a casino's not your lucky casino.
