      Well Baldurseljan, when it comes to taking risks and spending lots of money at a casino, then it becomes our responsibility to check and to make sure that what you are buying is something not rotten and worth buying - just like checking for expiry dates on foodstuff, looking for fresh fruits, not decaying ones, and so forth. But, humans, being humans, not everyone take this seriously enough. There are lots of players out there who simply want to have fun, regardless of which casino they are playing at. Yes, everyone wants to win, and expects to win once in awhile, and no one can accept continuous losses, not even the blardy rich ones. All the Gambling Authorities are already doing their bit of controlling and governance on these casinos, and they can only do so much - just as how the police force are doing their part for the public too. But if the public or the player insist on being careless or reckless, then there's nothing more than the authorities can do. Everyone has a duty to look after one's self-interest and not depend on the authorities for everything! Yes, just like humans too, casinos are no different. There are good ones and there are bad ones. There are law-abiding ones and there certainly are some which insist on making their own rules! But in the very first instance, all forms of gambling should be banned totally, but this is not possible of course. If all legally licensed casinos are banned, illegal ones would blossom from within the darkness and create an even worse scenario for the public and authorities! In the end, like it or not, it becomes our responsibility to take care of ourselves first, to walk down a safe path and to avoid those with hidden mines in the ground! Yet so many are not even being fair to themselves, for being indifferent and not caring at all about such things, and these are the people that create more problems for everyone. Casinos will continue to be such! They exists purely for reaping in money for their own purposes, and they give a damn for players. It's only the casino's employees who have to struggle and do their best to make things comfortable and pleasant for the users. The casino owners only care about their wallets! So, before buying a jackpot chance, wouldn't it become necessary that one should check it out first? To make sure that the jackpot prizes are real and not just scams? Just like when you buy a music CD, wouldn't you check out to make sure that you are buying a legitimate CD and not a pirated one? Yet, how many buyers actually do all these checking...or even bothered if it's a legitimate one or not???!!!

      You are wrong there Baldurseljan! A businessman won a 6.9million jackpot in my country and the news was published in the local newspaper! But of course, personal details about the winner were not revealed for confidential and safety reasons. Microgaming's Mega Moolah's Jackpot winners are always published in casino's forums. I don't live in their countries so I wouldn't know if the local newspaper talked about the winners. Playtech's Marvel Jackpot winners always had their usernames displayed onscreen almost immediately, for others to see. Winners of other smaller jackpots don't ever get such publicity...there's no reason to brag about someone winning a 2000 EUR jackpot, for example. So...jackpot prizes are real, and the winners are also real. What probably isn't real are jackpot prizes that suddenly get reset back to the minimum amount, with no mention at all of any winners. These could be faked jackpots. Resetting the jackpot amount makes it look like someone has won it...but there won't be any news on the winner at all. Yes, I have seen this happening at some casinos...but I also know that those casinos are rogue ones!

      Here's my example... I have been playing at Omni Casino (Playtech) for about 13 or more years! In 2014, they started blocking off my bonus privileges simply because I was winning too much and too regularly using their deposit bonuses! After 3 blockages and reinstatements of my bonus privileges, I continued to make some more small wins with their bonuses...then they finally blocked off my privileges permanently! No more bonuses for me, ever! When I still managed to make some small wins on and off, the casino suddenly and unexpectedly became inaccessible to me! The same thing happened at their sister casino, Fly Casino, too, and both casinos became completely inaccessible to me. Last year, or was it early this year, I finally managed to get access into the casino again, using a VPN, but my request to reactivate both my accounts did not materialise - in fact, they didn't even bothered to reply! So I know for sure that I'm never ever welcomed at Omni or Fly Casinos ever again! Well, that wasn't the end of the world for me. I am still playing at other Playtech casinos, which aren't as good as the two casinos, but something is still better than none! My point is, you leaving Pokerstars and playing somewhere else would be like what I have done with Omni and Fly Casinos.

      Hi Lucystar , welcome to Askgamblers forum. Firstly, how can those other 2 accounts have a negative balance? Casinos do not give upfront credits, so the only way for the accounts to go negative is by accruing maintenance fees for dormancy, which again seems unlikely, because accounts that have zero balance do not incur any maintenance fees. Perhaps you can enlighten us on this? Secondly, how did the casino know that the other 2 accounts are from your family? Were they opened using your same IP address, before they moved 800 kms away? If nothing else works for you, perhaps you should consider closing your Pokerstars account and starting anew somewhere else? It's not like the end of the world, and there's lots of better casinos out there for you to try them out!

      Okay, understood. I have written in to Skrill about my closed account...but still no answer! Well, that's Skrill! Can I use Ecopayz instead, if Skrill doesn't answer my email soon enough? Bank Wire Transfers cost a bum each time, so it's not preferable to me.

      Once a player has become addicted, it becomes almost impossible for that player to quit gambling on his/her own will! The urge to carry on gambling becomes so intense that nothing will stop it. So...some very serious help is indeed needed from others. Reading that mentioned article by our Guru would lighten up some matters and offer possibilities on rehabilitation...but an addict would still need someone else's help to make it through successfully! So Bobmarleyking here MUST get someone's help, preferably someone very close, to make it through!
