Any Forum Suggestions?

So, for months now I've been reading this forum with great interest - lots of valuable information and insights about playing slots and the casinos that offer them.

But it's really surprising to see how much obvious spam/shill slips through and just remains undeleted. I appreciate that it is a lot of work to keep a constant watch for these things but it would make the forum a great deal tidier and would also make it easier to take posts seriously. I mean, I can read a full post from someone and only at the bottom realise it was just spam.

The forums have some ever-presents. Take Jax or Afi, I think nothing whatsoever escapes their attention and they are already policing it all quite well - even politely. Can't their users be enabled to hide or delete such spam, then it would be continuously.

(I'd suggest @Icy too but he has enough to do already, and I'm not sure if he can be trusted. One double-space mistake in your post and he'd instantly delete the whole thing).

I am already dealing with these, and we give people the benefit of the doubt here. We cannot delete every members post who you may think is spam. But if you think something needs deleting then you can report it to me.

We are a forum and we allow people freedom of speech. I delete A LOT of spam posts every day so please don’t worry the forum is always being policed by myself.

Ok, untidy was maybe not the right word. Please forgive me if I insulted your work, which believe me we all appreciate very very much.

What I noticed is there are a lot of post like the one below still around. I can see your point that not everything is identified as spam rightaway, but as I've been reading through a lot of old threads I see these posters did in fact make just that single 1 post ever, praising this or that. In the example below, the spammer even has it in the username, and it is listed on the forum front page as the most recent post, so it is seen by many too.

I'll be sure to hit that report button more often :)

Yeah please use the report option, I wish more people would use this feature to alert me to things. Obviously some things slip past me it’s only natural. Not many people use the report feature which is a shame because it’s a really useful feature for me if more people used it. And don’t worry I didn’t feel insulted, it’s important that we get feedback like this improve 😜

You shouldn't trust me, why, because I'll always be your shadow watching your every move in the forum!

I await an opportunity to strike when you least expect it! It'll be like a John Wick movie😈🤣

@cocopop3011 and @Afi4wins can vouch for my trust.

We 3 were the original AG cast since 2013. 😉

I'll cast a random idea that may be intriguing or otherwise.

I expect "Not going to happen, in your dreams or we'll see Icy". My favorite is "I'll think about it".😜

Okay, are you ready for it MI5 secret agent @cocopop3011?

(Quickly saying the following) Are you ready, are you ready? Yeah, are you? Ready? For it?

This idea involves a contest that has a maximum set amount of spins like 50, 100 or 250 spins as a threshold on a slot of AG's choice

All members providing all necessary evidence such as a winning screenshot, casino, time, date, bet and win amounts, they will also need to provide a deposit history of their chosen casino.

In addition to the said above, they will use a "screen recorder". This is for the purpose of the member completing the deed of spinning their game rounds (50, 100 or 250 depending on mods decision).

I'll be monitoring (or hawking) the amount of spins each member has used as well as any specific details like their balance and the aforementioned above for transparency.

The free screen recorder is an easy tool like OBS Studio which once downloaded just needs to start the recording with a click of a mouse and stop it.

As the moderator maybe busy seeing the video footage entries I'll help in processing the recordings for leaderboard results.

Say if the moderator decides she likes this idea, she for example sets 250 spins as a maximum limit which is enough for any member to catch something.

You do not have to complete the maximum amount of spins set by the moderator, only record the biggest win within the set amount of slot spins! But you cannot go over the spins threshold. Failure in doing so will lead in disqualification.

A short deadline like a week or two, one entry per member + one video recording, all standard contest rules (as per previous contests) still apply.

If there aren't enough winners within the deadline, no worries. The contest will repeat itself again after it's deadline for another shot!

One hit wonder contest, short but sweet.

Autoplay is a must. If no member has autoplay I'll keep tabs manually based on the video if there are any considerable winnings.

If your interested @cocopop3011, may I give you an example? Does AG allow video files on here?

Good lord!!! Of all the ideas for a contest, I think your above proposal @Icy bro is quite a ridiculous one! I will definitely NOT take part in such nonsense (to me that is).

It was a random idea. Is this going to happen every time a member posts a potential idea? To be ridiculed for trying to make an effort!?

@cocopop3011 probably may agree with you so I won't bring about new ideas from now on. Ridiculous or potentially good.

@Icy Bro, new ideas are always welcomed and appreciated, but when an idea goes overboard, like your above suggestion, then some may disagree to agree with you. 🤣

What made this idea so ridiculous? Was it the screen recording idea or was it the capped amount of game rounds?

Coco Claus Fashionista @cocopop3011, computer genius @Fiekie247, Loceff the II @marius1978, Mister @Potatohead, Beekeeper @loceff13, disco @Blackjax

This next idea, I'll adapt it to the members as I observe their likes and dislikes.

The screen recording is an absurd idea! The usual winning screenshot is sufficient for all purposes and intents.

Imagine if every participant start submitting their screen recordings as videos, Askgamblers data storage capacity may overflow and cause disruptions. Don't know if this can happen or not at Askgambers, but it certainly will if I downloaded way too many videos into my SSD/harddisk!

It be short and brief for a video. Like a very small clip. You can delete the files after posting.

This contest idea is a one time contest to see feedback.

If it works we can develop on it, if it doesn't we can set it aside.

Sorry @Icy only now seeing this. Seems a little bit confusing in first glance. You should be able to upload your files? If not you can email it to me or course.

That error-200 is still around both on the forum and in PM. Can you PM me your email @cocopop3011? I maybe able to send the video file there.

  • 2 weeks later...

Icy Yeti conjured another idea applying to points. Do realize that the moderator has the ability to shapeshift, modify, frisk @Icy for another idea and/or edit the rules in her glamorous favor.

But first, I need a few things from said @cocopop3011 @cocopop3011 @cocopop3011 moderator.

(I purposely did that so she won't miss this long post!)

Will you allow admin points to be reinstated? If so, weekly, monthly or yearly basis?

Comes my following depending on your response above (hope to confuse you all :D )

This idea will have a double effect for points. Like a phantom out to get you.....(hands high circling in the air) ooooooo!!!

The current idea of admin points of 200pts for 5 EUR will still be in effect but with an exception that applies for members (in this case premium members). A team effort that helps make another member's day to be extra special!

All points accumulated throughout a weekly, monthly OR yearly basis (depending on Miss C's choice), they will be paid the standard 200pts at 5 EUR. In addition to being paid that, their same total accumulated points will also be applied to a random draw at the end of the week/month/year for 3 - 6 winners (Your choice again for the amount of winners).

Points accumulation are applied to Paid Reviews, Contest participation frequency, lusting over your superiors, aiding to help members, even welcoming new members to the forum etc.

Askgamblers moderators are responsible for crediting points and reviewing forum members activity! You can choose to apply a minimum requirement of said activity if you can think of one. 😜

For example of the double effect points:

Afi4Wins accumulates 450pts in a week. He will be paid 10 EUR on his invoice and that 450pts will go into the random draw. His 50pts will be carried over until he acquires minimum 200pts for conversion.

Icy accumulates 500pts in a week. He will be paid 10 EUR on his invoice and that 500pts will go into the random draw. His 100pts will be carried over until he acquires minimum 200pts for conversion.

Fiekie247 accumulates 800pts in a week. He will be paid 20 EUR on his invoice and that 800pts will go into the random draw.

Marius1978 accumulates 1000pts in a week. He will be paid 25 EUR on his invoice and that 1000pts will go into the random draw.

Loceff13 accumulates 400 in a week. He will be paid 10 EUR on his invoice and that 400pts will go into the random draw.

Lastly, Cocopop3011 accumulates 1200pts in a week. She will receive 30 EUR on her net invoice and the 1200pts will go into a random draw.

From the above members (including Coco, yes she is a forum member in this example), the total pts for the random draw would be 4350pts or 105 EUR minus the remaining 150pts which will be reseeded into the next random draw for premium members. This is only the weekly draw. Can you imagine the moderator choosing the monthly or yearly!

How the mod wants to split the prizes is entirely up to her. Make each place as juicy as you possibly can!

Each member will be responsible for posting the page in which they were awarded said points on a new thread created by the forum mod. The format will be as follows:

January 2025

(Enter points awarded)

(Insert forum page link)

(Enter total pts accumulated)

@Icy This idea of a Random Draw, as described by you, would require Askgamblers to double up on the total payout amount - first to the members, then to the random draw winners. Members get a second chance to win some additional cash from the random draw.

Sounds good, but it all depends if Askgamblers is willing to double up the pool amount, with no additional advantage to be gained by Askgamblers!

Increasing a contest prize pool, on the other hand, would bring in new members, new participants, increased competition, increased activity in the forum, and more importantly, probably more revenue to Askgamblers  and the providers.

I do actually like this idea but the issue is that it is currently hard to keep track of admin points due to us not having an automatic system in place. Which is one of the reasons why the paid incentive has been suspended, BUT, maybe we could use some kind of random draw and all members will be responsible for keeping track of their admin points rewards.

Leave it with me, I'll see how I can make something work. I like the idea of including something for Premium Members too.
