Just in general man trying to do 50 km on average a week, some weeks less, some more, depending how often i get to the Gym - Which I try to attend 3 - 4 times a week, with classes. I guess I dont drive to Gym, I jog aroun 4km to the gym and then train 30 minutes and Jog 4km back home after the sesssion - that is how I mostly collect my 8 - 10 km per day. Besides my activeness is integrated with my loyalty with my medical/insurance firm, so I benefit alot. I hope more people in this world begin to put their health as their priority and invest more time on their well being like you rather than being active on social media. cocopop3011, Fiekie247 and pinnit2015
pinnit2015
It's amazing how many people think the only responsibility for their health lies with the NHS etc (bit like RG and casinos). Really not that hard: you eat ***** regularly, you don't move your ar"e from the sofa, then there's a high chance you're not going to be well in the Medium/Long Term. Probably not allowed to say that, lest you be accused of unhealthy/fat shaming but, aside from inherent medical issues, that's pretty much it. Know a lot more, albeit it gets tied in knots regarding 'well that was good for you last week, now they're saying it's not' , about the links between illnesses and diet/lifestyle. Eg. Processed meats and the links with cancers etc. Eat better, start using ur legs more often and you're giving yourself a good a chance at a decent life. cocopop3011, ValDes, Blackjax and 1 other
Fiekie247
Agreed guys! I shame - I don't care especially with my friends if I cant be honest with you , then WTF are we doing - My health is very important, same goes for kids and family. I wanna live a long life to be around for my family and to support them. I think the problem with us in Society, as friends we cannot always have that honest conversation with some of our friends without them taking offense ( Sometimes people listen to respond and not to understand). Also people struggle to call each other out - One of the major problems! As friends we should uplift and help each other in different ways. I always say the best way to recognize good friends is to start talking and having discussions about making more money together, if they not interested, they are basically saying they are happy with what they have and their life, with no more further inspiration as well as they are not willing to evolve for the better of it! This is IMHO of course - Just saying... cocopop3011, Blackjax and ValDes
Blackjax
I am going to be honest with you guys that I did not take Corona seriously even though what's happened in the last 16 months. I was sanitizing my hands, maintaining distance and putting on a mask but mentally I was an idiot with my attitude towards it. It was only until last month when I had fever I freaked out and realized what a complete moron I was. I have started taking care of myself and my family even more not just with things related to corona but food related precautions as well. Since last month I realized how lucky I am that I did not lose any members of my family or friends to corona. When things get back to normal I am definitely hitting the gym apart from the regular exercises I am doing at home. cocopop3011
Loving the chat guys. I'm guilty of not exercising much to be honest but not through laziness, lack of time! But let me tell you, the kids make sure I do my 10,000 steps a day I probably put on a few pounds during lockdown I'm not going to lie and I'm a bit of a yo-yo dietier too, could definitely do with eating better but I absolutely hate cooking with a passion! Fiekie247
I love cooking however we do not cook on Sundays - It simply takes to much time preparing food, like half a day is gone from Family time. Although I train a lot - 80% of your body is dependent on the food you eat. So if you dont eat right, training would not get you to your goals. I have 2 days a week cheat day, but other than that - I always eat like Chicken Breast, Fish, with salad or cous cous or something better than rice... I limit my red meat, and other times I eat stuff with protein in between, biltong, nuts etc. I love fruits as well. I think the biggest problem if you really wanna get some muscle or at least gain lean muscle while losing weight is sacrificing alcohol for a short period. As alcohol breaks muscle, 2 beers can ruin an entire week worth of training in the gym etc. Blackjax

ValDes
I had my own out-of-the-blue 'striking moment' back in 2018 when was hit pretty bad by panic attacks. First time ever in my life when I realized that I'm not immortal actually and death is all around us. Follow by all the typical ''drama'' any of you who got through such a moment would know veeery well... ANyway, the result is more important I guess. Since then: - I walk min 45 minutes per day (or 10K steps). Just fast walking while trying to clear my mind...Usually, that's my 'nirvana place' - restricted all kind and type of fried food; increased dramatically the fruits and vegetables in the menu in expense of meat and decreased the 'hard' alcohol evenings from 7/7 to 2/7 weekly (yeah, yeah, I admit, it still hurts!) - started to say 'Love you' and 'Thank you' at least 3 times a day to those who deserve it Really simple things, but it works like charm so far. pinnit2015, Fiekie247, Blackjax and 1 other
pinnit2015
I find telling Bonanza you love it normally helps to start a 22 spin feature. After 18 x you can then revert to 'I want to strangle the life out of your programming' I'm happy with either/or. There's a lot to be said though about much hatred can fuel you - My Gran was a pretty wicked/evil woman and she lived to 98 before Lucifer decided he was taking her south to sit on the throne. It was that hatred of man/woman/child that probably added a good 20 years to their life as she just wanted to spite people I've been re-reading 'The Art of War' in anticipation of when i take the lift downstairs and go 'Oh, we meet again Lizzy. Blackjax
Out of all the active members on the forum a few of us are aware of cricket. So @Fiekie247 @pinnit2015 and @cocopop3011 are you guys following the T20 world cup? Are you going to watch today's India vs Pakistan's match? What about the others? Any interest in cricket? I have been a member of this forum for over an year and this is the first time I am discussing cricket. Not normal with an Indian. Trust me. Afi4wins
When I was still a schooling boy, I always remember one famous cricket...Jimmy Cricket...of Walt Disney's cartoons. As for some men trying to hit some sticks on the ground with a ball, well, so sorry, was never a fan of watching such a game. The only stick game that I used to enjoy watching was hockey...was...not now anyway. But if Jimmy Cricket is on show, I may be interested!
