    Well, I find the pig as a lucky animal to be the opposite...after all, Germans are known to say "you schwein!" when swearing...hahaha.  :D

     

    In my country, black cats are regarded as unlucky, so no one would ever keep a black cat as a pet...except me...back in 2017...when its mother died and he was left all alone, just a few days after birth! Well, he left home after about 6 months and never came back...oh geees...I miss that little naughty biting black fella!  :D

    I love all kinds of animals, generally speaking, but not the pig, hahaha...but I love cats the most...especially kittens. They're so adorable and playful. but that black kitten, being a male, I can't blame him...his home is where the female cat is!  :lol:

    Hahaha...a black cat is supposed to bring back luck...but I don't believe in all that...

    Very simply put...I support Blockchain technology but not cryptocurrencies...you lose or forget your code and you lose your cryptos permanently, with no recourse for recovery! No one can memorise a 64-digits code...except for that one guy who could memorise 100 digits...simply amazing!  :p

    Well I think the blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies will become more common at casinos in a near future. The benefits are simply just to good to be ignored. Just being able to "hide" your transactions online, far away from anyone's sight. The governments cant charge taxes, fees or customs on cash transactions(or casino winnings) they don`t know about. Also being able to make international transfers in minutes, without having to pay a fortune in bank fees and exchange rates. I also believe that major corporations already are using this technology for these purposes. It is also believed that NSA and the CIA were the original creators of a predecessor to bitcoins. Possibly to anonymously transfer funds to their "overseas operatives". It is known that they at least researched the possibility. In 1996(years before bitcoins) a paper called "How to make a mint: The cryptography of anonymous electronic cash”, was published by three cryptologists employed by "National Security Agency Office of Information Security Research and Technology". And thanks to Edward Snowden we now know that the hash function that Bitcoin is predicated on, SHA-256, was developed by NSA. They can also be credited for the software and communications protocol behind TOR.

    Thanks to the hard work from dedicated "open source" software developers, Bitcoins are becoming much more available to us common people. You no longer have to be a IT-engineer to transfer funds. And its not necessary to memorize the personal 256bit encryption keys, to access and use your coins. Well unless your extremely paranoid or involved in some extremely top secret business. What you need is an account at one of many digital currency exchange services available online. This is were you exchange your money for bitcoins, and vice versa. Then you need a electronic "wallet", which is a software you download to your computer. It`s  purpose is to store your cryptocurrency, and make the bitcoin transfers. Today there are many user friendly options available for free online. I can recommend the open source wallet called electrum. It can be configured to use both the common internet protocol, or the more anonymous and secure SOCKS5(TOR)-protocol. Easy to setup and comes with detailed setup instructions. It manages your encryption keys, takes care of the communication between you and the blockchain. Basically it makes bitcoins transfers just as easy as normal bank transfers. It also comes with a built in wallet-recovery-option. In case you forget your password, or suffer from hardware failure which results in your wallet being lost or destroyed. 

    But gambling with bitcoins has one big con, as I see it. Constantly having to calculate the size of your bets and winnings against the constantly fluctuating bitcoin exchange rate . I´ve been following the rate for about 1,5 years. The lowest rate I´ve seen is was about a year ago. Then 1 BTC was rated at 800EUR. Highest rate was around mid november. 1BTC was about 16000EUR. Today one BTC costs 6492EUR. So if you would exchange 100EUR right now, and deposit at a bitcoin casino. Your casino balance would be 0.0154BTC. Or 15.4mBTC. A "normal" size bet of 0,5EUR would be 0.0008BTC(0,8mBTC). Doing these constant calculations while rolling, makes my head hurt. And takes some of the fun out of it. And I don`t think I am the only one with that opinion. So the bitcoin casino that would implement a tool that does that work "on the fly", would probably become very popular.

    But there's nothing wrong with that of course.  :D

     

    Talking about Bitcoins, I simply cannot imagine myself having to calculate first what bet size I should be using when playing with those damn Bitcoins! Thankfully I don't use it, I won't ever use it, so I won't ever get any headaches from it either, hehehe. I also cannot imagine myself playing with bets of 0.000010 BTC, or with whatever miniscule fractional numericals either...I'm not Einstein! Hahaha. :p

     

    For me, nothing like the simple straightforward 0.10, or 0.20, or whatever bet sizes I want to play with.  :crazy:

    There is no better way to introduce oneself than a forum post longer than most casinos bonus terms 

     

    When I started writing the post, my intention was to keep it short. But since this topic is like a personal hobby of mine, I got "a little" carried away. I'm fascinated by how easy it is for anyone to spy on anyone in real time today. Just by using a few simple tools you could map out a persons whole life at any given moment. Most people don`t realize that they are leaving digital tracks all over the internet. Working as a spy, or locating criminal suspects has become so ***** easy. Almost everyone is carrying a cellphone today. Most of us is also constantly connected to Facebook and such. Your phone also has a camera, gps and a microphone. And those are controlled by an operating system developed by either Google, Apple or Microsoft. Remotely activating those tools through programmed "backdoors" in the software is pretty easy for them.       

     

     

    Most ordinary people don`t need to use bitcoins as of yet. Most btc-transactions made today are probably the black market sales on darknet. And of course the usual money laundering. But more more and more online stores and services are starting to accept btc as payment. Transactions are pretty fast (ca 20 mins), and with the right precautions, the sender and receiver are unknown even to each other. So I do think well be seeing more bitcoin casinos popping up in the next few years. 

     

    And in some countries, gambling online is strictly prohibited. For those people, btc is the best option. And since online casinos have grown to such a huge industry, many governments would love to be able to put taxes on casinos and players. For now the casinos have been able to hide in Malta or Curacao. But its just a matter of time before the greedy politicians manage to pass new international trade laws to get to them. So btc(or maybe a more secure cryptocurrency) will be the best choice in the future. I just hope that the casinos will create tools for those damn calculations. It shouldn't be to hard
