Secondary option for PP contests

Recommended Posts

Between the other members and this refreshing author that does relentless justice I'd like to present an idea in regards to contests. This crazy idea for example may be interesting to add as an open option should it be honored. It's a suggestion so I want to know what your thoughts are about it.

(Icy's mind: 70% chance Coco will reject it but will see how this goes and I see a few judgements already lol).

I'll use a Pragmatic Play contest as an example. From time to time @cocopop3011, AG, PP and Jelena carry out contests like these. While being a slot player I noticed PP has these bonus buys
on slots at a cost of 100x, give or take. Most players are either skeptical, possibly afraid to buy them, the cost maybe too much for them etc. Whatever the reason for such bonus buys rely solely on the player to make that choice. What if we empower them?

Carrying on from there. Let's say there are 10 places on the PP leaderboard, top half will have this secondary option. The winners can either accept their usual prizes in full like we always have or opt in to trade half of their winnings (Can be a sliding scale, depending on final decision) for a bonus buy, not just any ordinary single bonus buy but a bonus buy involving a "best out of 3".

Jelena or another representative of Pragmatic will record the session live and send the recorded link in the forum. Whomever is doing it will have a camera behind them showing the laptop/computer screen using the Pragmatic Play website to play these bonuses in demo mode to simulate the 3 bonus buys. Jelena / The PP representative will be narrating the welcoming intro and the bonus buys. All bonus buys will be done in ranking order. Consider this like a short live stream each time PP does a contest.

If however the chosen slot, at the decision of PP and Coco/AG has a bonus buy that doesn't match the cost (ie. bonus buy costs 140 EUR, the winner had 150 EUR  and  uses it for this bonus buy, the unused portion of the cost will be returned to the player). The winners may also state how much they want to stake in this "best out of 3" bonus buys. For example, Sugar Rush 1000 - $60 bonus buy.

The chosen slot can either be: chosen as a single slot at random by PP, the winner can choose the slot for their bonus buys or have PP choose three random slots that will change per each PP contest held.

In this manner the winners get the chance to see their 3 bonus buys played out using a portion of their winnings whereas the other half are locked in for the invoices.

Half as guaranteed winnings for the winner earned from the contest, other half for a chance for something better through the 3 bonus buys per winner.

In the event that there are "excessive winnings" produced from the bonus buys (ie. $5000 winnings from a $200 bonus buy), to keep PP and other involved parties from breaking the bank, the cap limit for winnings will be set at 3x - 10x their bonus buy cost. (However they choose as deemed fair for both parties)

Again, this is just an option open for any of the top winners who'd like to be in the shoes of a daredevil beckoning for the risk for potentially better rewards. The results awaiting the courageous may vary.

Below is the closest thing for a screenshot to help you guys display the thought I had earlier except picture the lady looking at the camera behind her, fingers on glasses tilted forward and computer or laptop displays the screen commencing the bonus buys.

@IcyI like the idea, but it sounds like a lot of effort involved.

I think to spice things up, the offering can be made into a single price pool and the contributors can battle it out, for the best of the best short tourney and play it out against each other, however only 1 winner to take all the winnings.

I just think verification should be verify strict to verify that is in fact your win or video, need to show the casino where the hit happened, your personal details to someone like coco to make sure, you are the valid account holder of said account where winner video/screenshot derived from, but it can get tricky, and doubt and accusations of cheating and all sorts will eventually unfold.

I think something like this could happen, but proper in depth discussions need to take place and a proven working system for the tourney to work must in a place first that everyone agrees with and fully understand.

I mean you see the havoc already with the normal screenshots  contest,  low betting margin accusations etc etc, that we are dealing with.

Proper due diligence is key here.

I don't do bonus buys, I hate bonus buys, so I completely cannot go along with the idea of such a competition. Let the casinos do them instead, cos they have the manpower and the facilities required to run such a complicated tournament.

Better for AG to stick to the current standard contests format - simpler to manage, less new problems cropping up, and less headaches for those involved in running the contests.

Even Pragmatic's Social Tournaments website have not come up with any Bonus Buy tourney as yet, as far as I know, much less to expect Askgamblers to start one.

Sorry @Icy, I personally think it's a bad idea, and would only attract players with lots of money to play them.

I agree with you but about the Pragmatic social tournaments line I have to tell you, you're wrong.

Some rounds involve 10/10 and $1000 ... so $100 bonus buys.

@Icy Good creative effort and damn, you're writing can be so poetic some times...I'm always reading with utmost interest.

Personally I'm not into Bonus Buys either...so I follow Afi in saying leave as it is...you formulated a very complicated extra layer which will turn to controverse, especially the MAX Win comment didn'tn suit me well.

Providers have lots of money....if someone would strike a Max Win it wouldn' be as much a nuisssance then one of the emplyees being nuissanced by a fly.

EDIT: did you study Literature?
