Bonus winnings vs own winnings

Well, maybe a few remarks.

Forgive me for leaving out the personal details.

On the rest: I never made the point that I didn't break the T&C, I also told that I made significant winnings. That being said: I did not leave out details to misguide you. If I knew they where relevant, I would have told you. I do apologize if you feel misguided.

Well mate, stay truthful and stay honest, and you are most welcome to be a regular member here. We don't have any hard feelings, nor keep grunts or grudges, but we do try to help out others as best as we can. As you can see from all the replies here, we are only giving advices to you, on what you should do, or not do, that's all. 😉

Hi @OlleBitStarz
Thank you for the detailed response.

So basically the player did not lose anything? He got his winnings forfeited, however you refunded all his deposited amounts which is the same amount as his deposits more or less?

So to sum it up -  @spirit_123 is  currently even and did not lose anything: Had the 1800 euro not be confiscated, he would be able to cash out 1800, however not receive the 1898 refund of the total deposits - Which works out to the same thing in the end so either he got 1800 euro or 1898 euro as a cashout .

Correct my man, the player deposited 1898 and was cashed out 1898, so no losses rather than the funds that were forfeited to him breaching the bonus terms. So essentially he walked away net 0.

It's a fine line when folk come on and state A but omit details: as a reader, and commenter, you to a certain extent always have to take it at face value but know that certain details are maybe not disclosed etc. Particularly true when it comes to UK punters and Gamstop etc

Still baffled to what the OP was looking to achieve given the above: if it had been w/d 20k etc you could maybe see the point re money but essentially they've been reset to what they would have got? Financially would appear to make no sense to pursue anything.

There are many casino's who wouldn't, or at least would make it an effort, to get back deposits so good job to BS for doing so.

As for the OP - only other thing is to sort out any issues you have and GL with all that .

Honestly - I would be glad to get my deposits back and just walk away.  Thanks for clearing this up Olle

Yes Mr Pinnit - Surprise of all the additional info that came after Olle response.

If he were to get the 1800 euro withdrawal, his net profit would be -98 euro so he should be lucky.

Imagine Olle had not jump in here, the OP  went ahead with the case, and spend thousand, just for Olle to come and mention all the additional info and the fact that the OP has not lost anything at all. He basically got free game play...

As a matter of the fact, the bonus rules did not hurt him at all, for the fact he got all his deposits back fair and square...

No Wonder @ValDes - Did not comment here, I am sure he knew something else was up...

Not saying it's the case here but i can see why casino's will sometimes not pay back the deposits in some cases; otherwise they set precedents for folk 'taking a chance' of pushing past the terms and essentially free rolling; knowing that if they're caught, they'll get their depo's back and, in the event it goes unnoticed, maybe getting the winnings etc.

I imagine most will look at it on a case by case - been there a while, no history of issues; likely to casino's more likely to let it slide. You sign up on Monday just, then maybe not.

When Betat were good, they paid me for an accidental breach that was looking at costing me 3k - got the call from Sam i think, and just told me to watch what i was doing but the w/d was paid; i'd been with them for years, which probably made them do that. Had i just signed up? Probably not.

Four pages in a day 🙂 This was a pretty fast paced subject, huh?

Anyway, I have just managed to catch up with this topic from the beginning and I actually believe you didn't mean to misguide anyone and I don't think you need to apologise.

I hope the response from BitStarz has now given you some closure in the matter and that you can take Olle's advice in the future to always make sure you cancel a bonus before making even a single wager.

Nice work @Afi4wins @Fiekie247 @Blackjax @pinnit2015 As always, your experiences in these kind of matters always shines through. Good job on this one guys.

And of course thank you @OlleBitStarzfor stepping in.

Hey everyone :)

Saw this one getting hot but to be frank, was so busy these days that couldn't make it to the forum, literally! But even if I could, Afi said it all here:

Our Guru-san has said many times before that whatever a poster writes or complains in this forum, he/she is hiding lots of important details, simply to make the matter looks favourable to them!

...

And surprise, surprise... 😛

Anyway, glad we have @OlleBitStarz here who easily explained and resolved the whole 'mystery'. Thanks mate. :good:

And btw, this one is soooo true. 😛

And btw, i've heard many a poster of the years talk of taking things to court

I'm still waiting to see one doing so.

Big difference me going to Trading Standards about the dodgy window business down the road than taking a company, based in Malta and/or further afield to court on an I Gaming issue.

They'll be plenty of lawyers who will gladly accept a fee for chatting with you but will be as much help as a chocolate tea pot.
