Bonus winnings vs own winnings

OP- how much are you talking here? 100's, thousands?

Thousands, but it is really not about the money anymore. I do believe this is unfair. To complement this statement: I would be happy to limit a claim to a declaration for justice, which means nothing more but the court ruling whether these T&C are invalid. It would not constitute in a reimbursement or whatsoever.

Bonus terms issues aren't as much as a problem as there were in the UK; the segregation of bonus funds and real cash helped with that.

Not really sure there's much more folk can do on this thread, you gotta do what you gotta do but defo need to think whether it's a fight worth pursuing.

As BJ said, if you want to end up money down just to make a point, or try to, then maybe sit back and think before you do so

Always pick your battles 🙂

@OlleBitStarz - Can you jump in here and assist or explain a couple of thing to the player?

@spirit_123 - Just hang on a little, until Olle gets this notification and respond here. He works for Bitstarz.

But I agree with @pinnit2015 and @Blackjaxproving a point and spending thousands? I  would rather use that legal fees of proving a point, make a 5/10k depo at Bitstarz and try to break the bank again 😉 - Provided you remember to disable bonuses during the deposit process!

@Fiekie247 Mr @OlleBitStarz is a myth. He is not real. Two months ago when I wanted him he never came to help me. If he responds to this topic I will be really pissed.

If Olle's here now, you can ask nicely if he simply missed your message; i know for example i miss PM's as i wasn't getting notifications 🙂

Speaking of which, just as an aside as to why (not the case here), i'm sceptical of what online casino's say to me, I had a PM from someone here saying that a well respected casino were insisting they COULD NOT pay out with receiving certain documents from a member.

All i did was put together some words from the LCCP and UKGC guidance and tell them to send that onto them, making the point they're prohibited from doing so

The guy pinged me back the other day saying that within 24 hrs of getting their message, and w/o supplying it, the casino released with w/d

So, begs the question, how do you go from a position of 'No, we absolutely cannot release the money until we have this' to all of a sudden it's in their paypal? The only thing that has changed is not the rules etc but the receipt of an email that lets the casino see you know what your're talking about. The only conclusion i can reach is that some casino's make stuff up as they go along. It's pretty disgraceful tbh.

What's the stat's of E Cogra i seen the other day; something mad like only 10% are favoured in terms of the player, 20% or so the casino admit no fault but good will payments. Need to look at that in more detail and it's possible sound but 10 or so % seemed extremely low.

Aye, the last thing the world needs is giving more money to lawyers

I'd rather go 2500 spins on 4 quid on Bonanza than hand over cash to Jean Luc Esquire the 4th, Attorney At Law.

Mentioning Olle is one thing - I sent him a PM to make sure he sees this.

He does not get  notifications when mentioning him. Hope it helps.

Hi there,

I believe heard about your case previously as you made a formal complain about this one which was not gone forward with.

Maybe you can also help me clear up a few things too while we're at it. So you mentioned that you were a bit unsure about how casino bonuses work, but you also admit (after this whole ordeal) that you were a gambling addict who lost your rent money. First of all I'm very sorry to hear that and I hope you can get the help you desperately need.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you've done quite a bit of gambling before, was this the first time you heard about the bonuses in casinos and the wagering? On BitStarz you select on the deposit page if you want a bonus on your next deposit and you selected that you wanted one, hence you received it.

If it's the case that you got it by mistake, best thing is to just reach out to us right away and we'll remove it for you, no problem. But if you start playing it become a bit of an issue. I saw you doubled up your balance playing roulette (with high stakes) and then proceeded to wager out the bonus on slots, not going over the 5 EUR limit a single time. But as you were doubling up on table games, you breached the terms of the bonus.

I'm not sure how it is in other casinos, but at BitStarz your bonus is locked with your real funds until you complete the wagering and if you forfeit the bonus prior to that, you unfortunately forfeit your winnings. As for the total amount you got forfeited, I think it was 1800 EUR.

In all, we refunded your total deposits which means you deposited 1898 EUR and cashed out 1898 EUR. So to summarize, you voluntarily took a bonus, breached the terms unfortunately and you left the casino with just as much as you came in with. As well, based on your remarks about being an addict, we closed your account permanently.

I know you can't gamble with us here at BitStarz again as you're an addict, but if you need help with referral to an organization that can help you, I'm happy to refer you.

Olle

Hi @OlleBitStarz
Thank you for the detailed response.

So basically the player did not lose anything? He got his winnings forfeited, however you refunded all his deposited amounts which is the same amount as his deposits more or less?

So to sum it up -  @spirit_123 is  currently even and did not lose anything: Had the 1800 euro not be confiscated, he would be able to cash out 1800, however not receive the 1898 refund of the total deposits - Which works out to the same thing in the end so either he got 1800 euro or 1898 euro as a cashout .

This is why I am always apprehensive to take a players side in such cases. He never mentioned about table games and doubling up.

Hmmmmm......🤥

Our Guru-san has said many times before that whatever a poster writes or complains in this forum, he/she is hiding lots of important details, simply to make the matter looks favourable to them!

This is yet one more such case, even appearing very eager to bring the matter up to a Civil Court, when every other details showed a downside.

@spirit_123 do you still want to talk brother?

Well, maybe a few remarks.

Forgive me for leaving out the personal details.

On the rest: I never made the point that I didn't break the T&C, I also told that I made significant winnings. That being said: I did not leave out details to misguide you. If I knew they where relevant, I would have told you. I do apologize if you feel misguided.

I think I would also like to accept it was my fault that I assumed that you breached max bet on slots and not on table games. So technically you did not misguide on that part.

All said and done its all good. These things happen. I suggest you be part of our forum and be part of discussions which suit you.

Best of luck.
