Bad losers using casino forums to harass casinos

Blackjax

Recommended Posts

Time and again I have come across "complaints" on various casino forums where a person writes a complaint against a casino just to harass them. After a player loses money at a casino they realize it was a mistake and like to go through t&c of casinos so that they can find a loophole. Casino forums are created because an affiliate has a responsibility  to mediate between an online casino and  a player where a casino would have broken their responsibilty towards a player who signed up through their link. Apart from that personal experience, gambling rules, various new regulations and general discussions are also part of these forums. A casino forum should be used if a casino has genuinely broken their t&c or has not treated a player right. But bad losers are using forum in trying to get lost money back. When a person loses money they use a forum to demean respected casinos by trying to look for loophloes in their t&c. This has already happened 11 times in last  two weeks on our forum. If people cant handle losses  It is stupid to not accept your gambling addiction and blame it  that casino is wrong. Casino has lots of responsibilies towards their players but if players lose money they should realize they went to casino by thir choice and after losing money if you realize that you have lost way too much money there is no point on going to forums and try to look for t&c to get money back. Go on gamban or gamstop.

A forum such as this exists for anyone to say their piece, to share thoughts and experiences, to get advices or suggestions, or simply just to be in a virtual community. No one can be right or wrong until proven otherwise, so everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt first...innocent until proven guilty.

That said, it is also quite natural for some people to come into a forum with guns blazing, rightly or wrongly...simply because they think they are on the right side. Some are indeed right, others are later on proven wrong, but in the first instance, no one can be certain of anything, until more details and info are looked into.

Whatever it is, every forum has rules to be followed and adhered to. Breaking or breaching any of the rules may get them kicked out. But just as in playing at casinos, many people simply do not read the rules first! That's when they get themselves into more trouble.

Everyone has a right to speak out at any forum, within the defined limitations. Be polite and democratic at all times and everyone else would respond the same way. But all of us need to realise that we can come in various shapes and forms, transcendable from polite into rude in an instant, and our minds can really play tricks on us at times!

If you don't speak out, how can anyone else know, or help, right? 😜

But when a player knows he himself is wrong and misleads an entire forum by claiming casino broke rules and eventually we get to know that the player could not control their gambling addiction and was lying all the time. Isnt that abuse of forum. How many times have we seen that!!!

On the other hand in the last 3 months the best use of the forum has been made by @Fiekie247. His topic against a casino was not just genuine but relevant. And the way casino responded to that professionally was quite respectable.

When it is all said and done, then only can we all know whether it was abuse or otherwise, regardless of what the poster thinks of himself, right?

Look at Donald Trump for instance (not trying to libel here), once he becomes a normal citizen again on Jan 20, 2021, he is likely to face many summonses and court cases arising out of his actions whilst being the President of USA. During his presidency, we all have our own thoughts and ideas of his actions and words, rightly or wrongly, but that's how this world is...everyone gets his/her opportunity at the right time...and payback when it is due!

In our forum case, all I can say is that only Askgamblers Team can do what they think is right or best for the forum. Many members have already been banned so far, and this isn't going to stop at any time in the future either, hehehe.

Exactly what I meant by the title. So do you agree with title or not?

Let me put it this way mate...I do not totally agree with the title...cos I don't quite agree with the 'harass' bit.

They are definitely voicing out their anger and disappointment, maybe even to let others know about that specific casino, which is a good thing in itself, if the facts are true, but casino forums are indeed one way for anyone to speak out and make their 'voice' heard. Others may use FB, Twitter, TikTok, or whatever else, but these are usually not gambling related media platforms...casino forums are...so all casino forums can and should expect to get such posts from posters/sore losers/bad losers at times.

Are such posters harassing the casinos? Well, that depends on the contents in their posts, the language used, and whether the facts are true or simply baseless. Even righteous posters can turn out to be wrong, simply due to some slight misunderstanding of words or terminology.

Does this mean that other gamblers cannot voice out their discontentment against casinos? Definitely not! I have, and many others have too, and we certainly aren't bad/sore losers. Nobody likes to be kicked around like a stupid ball. right? 😜

Don't know about our beloved Afi's opinion, but yes, categorically agree with you @Blackjax.  The forum history itself proved your statements countless amount of times so far - there are indeed many players who are either unable to accept their fault of not following terms and conditions they agreed on OR simply looking for any available 'tool' to take revenge on the relevant casino they weren't happy with.   Based on our experience handling hundreds of such forum topics over the years, dare to claim that no more than 20% of such 'forum crusades' against online casinos were really justified and/or contained 100% accurate and true facts. :(

That is why I gave @Fiekie247 's example. His cobra casino topic was a brilliant example of disussing a casinos mistake and how they were denying a player his rightful service. And like u mentioned it was the fastest resolved complain.  He got 20$ cashback wagerfree (which was initially 40x) but too bad he couldnt cashout even though he went to 120 or so.

Totally agree with you this time around mate!

The point I was making was...we all cannot be like Fiekie...some are simply awful by nature, some are purely aggressive, and some simply love using vulgar language. If the same thing had happened to such a 'bad loser', he/she would have posted one 'harassing' post here in this forum, simply because of his/her nature. The truth of the matter would be that the casino had indeed made a mistake, but because of the 'harassing' nature of his/her post, the final outcome may have been different! But of course, as Valdes has said earlier, the ones received here in this forum were indeed baseless ones.

My other point again is...treat everyone as innocent until proven guilty! 😉

I'm glad you decided to create the topic @Blackjax. Unfortunately a lot of people only turn to forums when they start having issues. Not including posts from our regular member like yourself I would say 90% of new posts that me and Valdes approve are members who have experienced some kind of issue.

It's not very often we get new members coming here saying look how much I've just won, or look how great this casino is. It's a shame really becasue I think we'd all love to see more of the good stuff too.

I agree with all the points that have all been stated. Everyone is entitled to freedom of speech here but there will always be players who know full well they have broken the rules and still try to slander the casino to get their cash. I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

I agree with afi and freedom of speech would apply here, and it would be up to a judge and jury to acquit or find guilt. forums are miss used at times and with obvious proof we can all see what's relevant and not relevant. afi makes a great point with the trump analogy, and we should leave it at that!!

Personally I think its just disgusting behaviour, I've made my fair share of mistakes when I've been drunk, or much more often than that, just greedy - I dropped a tenner in the other day just for a bit of fun, played it up to £70 or so, but I'd set a target of 100 and so kept playing... sure enough I ended up back down at zero. Who's to blame for this CALAMITY OF INJUSTICE? *I AM* !!! Coming to a forum and trying to blame the casino in some way is just beyond ridiculous.

But to be honest, its no different to any other walk of life - people will often try and blame others for their mistakes. Not to worry though, we can sniff out out BS around here like a fresh ***** ;)
