  1. Well there are two opinions from the poker players at Stars. The first one as you said dont like it because they think that the recreational players << the fishes>> will spent much of their balance at slots as they are faster and easier to play. So they will lose much of the player pool and money of course. After all they strongly believe that poker has nothing to do with gambling and they dont want the site to have casino games. We are talking about Pokerstars and not any other small poker room . Its their TEMPLE. The other side of the players and Amaya believe that casino games will attract many online casino players and many of them will play poker games so it will increase the traffic at the site so more money for them. Time will show how this will go and who is right. I support the first opinion and i am against with the new owners recent changes. BTW Have you seen how ugly their casino is??? I mean who will choose to play there when there are much more beautiful casinos which have great promotions for the players.

  3. Well i dont play Pokerstars anymore, but i play at Full Tilt, and have played their slots many times. They have many software providers like Leander, NYX and lately NetEnt slots. Of course they dont have all NetEnt slots but they keep adding them. I believe the same would be with Pokerstars. I see they advertise their casino at the website so maybe they have started operating their casino.
  4. Well for live Poker i do not think that many things have changed. Although the way the game was played was more aggresive over the years, it has started to be conservative again the last couple of years. You can take for example the numbers of participants in WSOP Main Event which is stable to around 7000 players per year. As for online Poker many things happened last years in online Poker Community that had serius affects to the game if you are a professio0nal poker player.Black Friday which resulted to USA players being restricted and many poker pros having their money frozen at full tilt accounts. This affected the player pools being severe reduced so less earnings for the players and the poker industry. Also the game is more difficult than ever as there are many good players at all stakes and is difficult to crash it and have good earnings from grinding. Of coures for many people is still beatable but they cannot have the same winnings results as for example 5 years ago.\ Finally many poker pros did not like the fact that Pokerstars was bought from Amaya Gaming Group Inc and from the start the new buyers of Pokerstars showed that they only care for profit and not for poker players. They made many awful changes from rising the rake , to reducing the guaranteed prize of tournaments, introducing poker varieties of tournaments which are more based to luck than skill and finally casino games. Many Poker pros have left Pokerstars and went to lesser known poker platforms. I except in the years coming we will see the birth of a new poker platform which will succeed in braking the Amayastars monopoly. Of course if you are a recreational player you wont care much of the above and you will continue having fun with poker. it is a great game.
  5. Because the USA players are restricted from online Poker.

  16. I would be more harsh with the gambling authorities which kept these rogue casinos alive for so long. After all, these casinos were not closed for being rogue but for the owners having other illegal activities as i read. So who knows maybe these rogue casinos find a way to be reopened in the future.
  17. Sad for the players that were playing there and had balance in their accounts
