Another Casino with 9.1 rating on AG shutting its doors

BETAT Casino - Sister to Slotty Vegas will be closing and convert to a Pay N Play Casino in the future. I believe they were good once and as per Pinnit also went down the drain as off lately?

Sad but good. Rumours of their dodgy ownership we’re going round for quite a bit. Also, again unconfirmed, rumours that an employee punched the outgoing owner at a Maltese airport I believe once it was sold. 

If the Chinese whispers are to be believed I wouldn’t touch any of Maxents properties with a barge pole.

Guessing their appeal to the UKGC over licence revocation didn’t go well. Edit - see slotty is still being offered so probably not ruled on yet.

For the record when they were good they were probably one of the best out there

Slotty good - I deposited there last week and withdrawals took 3 hours on average, so I am happy there still.

Go Slotty will only be for Finland and Sweden at the start.

I don't normally close casino accounts but did with Betat and Slotty. Would have been sadder but truth be told I hadn't really played there properly for a good 18 months.

@pinnit2015 - yes they will only be for Finland and Sweden, I guess because of Trustly will be the only deposit methods.

Used to love Bet.AT, not sure why I stopped playing there now. What's this story about them having their license revoked? Seems a shame but I guess it makes sense to stick with your most active and popular brands. Had plenty of fun at Slotty, never had any bother being paid.

Change of ownership led to questions being asked over the new ownership and the source of funds to acquire the company. 

*unconfirmed* rumours linking the new ownership with previous operations who hosted fake games etc, have been rife for a while now - no wonder they were so secretive as probably knew most seasoned players wouldn't play at such a place, regardless if they paid you in nano-seconds.

Karl here - Head of Casino at BetAt/Slotty Vegas/VulkanBet and upcoming GoSlotty. Allow me to provide clarification on some of your points above.

BETAT Casino has run its course and we started directing more to most of our attention to Slotty Vegas as far back as two years ago now. This is clear to see in the progression of both products over the given timeline. Slotty Vegas will continue as our flagship brand, as will our dedication to ensuring it continues to be the fair, superbly rated casino experience that it has always been known for.

We recently acquired VulkanBet as a step into the German market through PaynPlay, but it has seen success as an esports product and will continue as (one of) Max Entertainment's esports brand. GoSlotty is planned to launch soon and will be available for Germany, Finland and possibly Sweden. 

Just to dispel  suggestions and false rumors of "closing down", then I'd just like to put anyone's mind at ease that in fact it is quite the opposite, as we are growing from 2 brands to 4 by the end of the year - a double net increase.

Honestly, who comes up with these things?  I believe what you are referring to is an altercation at the airport which happened in circa 2012 between the ex CEO and another employee, none of which whom have been at the company for years. Hope this helps..

If that's the case, then i stand corrected (for the airport)

Where i don't though is the rumours that swelled as to the ownership of the casino, which in turn was picked up again when the UKGC booted your licence out the window as to the owners suitability. And i didn't come up with that 

You might have called all this conjecture in other places, and internet whisperings, but you don't get your licence taken off you, and comments from the UKGC that the new owner was not 'full and frank', for nothing.

Indeed, as you might imagine, most of our UK & ROI members are quite concerned about UKGC license being under status "Revoked - stayed until the outome of appeal". Maybe sharing your stance on the matter would make them feel safer playing in your brands.

I'm not going to get drawn into a whole debate over this again guys. No matter what I say, speculation and rumors will continue to arise, and we end up going around in circles. Please await the outcome of the appeal, which particularly addresses the fact that the UKGC themselves said that if we were to apply for a license right now, it would be granted without issue. We feel that the decision taken is completely disproportionate to the offence, and the fact that they would issue the license now is proof of that, which is why we are appealing.

This thread is about concerns of BETAT Casino closing down. I've explained why this decision has been taken - out with the old, in with the new. Players have absolutely nothing to be concerned about, and from a licensing perspective, as AG can attest to - our service to our customers has remained excellent, and I, in charge of these brands for the past 7 years, can guarantee that this service is only going to continue getting better and better going forward.

My only concern - With the new ''Pay N Play'' - You are limiting customers... Since you only cater for Germans, Sweden and Finland - Because Trustly will be the only deposit method.

Now I will not be able to play at Betat and so will many others - So SlottyVegas is now my only hope for your group.

Going to Pay N Play - Since you basically losing players all over the world, is that not a bit bad for business?

A Pay n Play brand is simply extending our range of products. The reality is, there is nothing that BETAT Casino offers that Slotty Vegas doesn't already offer. BA has been stuck in time for a while now and the entire product roadmap prioritizes Slotty Vegas, so as a BA player, there is only to gain by moving over to SV. 

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason why you personally would prefer to play at Betat over Slotty Vegas?

Okay so I read the UKGCs statement as, they have not been shown satisfactory details as to where  the funds used to purchase the casino came from is that correct?? 

If so I'd have thought the taxman and the police would be "helping to clarify" the situation soon enough, no?
