Why all the YGGDRASIL hate?

Recommended Posts

Some of my biggest wins come from them. I usually play the higher paying games on low bets 0.60 to 2.00

I do agree some of the games are a bit cheap, but it's the same with every brand. I've had more luck with them than any PnG game I've played.

Or am I just the lucky few?

Is there somthing I don't know? Or should know?

Hi Dillfly2000 and welcome to AskGamblers

Well I guess you are one of the lucky ones.

Personally - YGGDrasil slots are very boring, I could literally fall asleep . At times to slow to hit something decent, and I had very cold sessions.

So yes maybe its luck, but when I play YGGdrasil slots, I always loose, the pay tables seems ***** lately and maybe I am unlucky, but Impatient whenever I play their slots.

I just don’t like them. Nothing more to add than that. Iv seen the odd monster hit from them but iv seen more providers with more - aside from a few PNG games I’m not really a fan of them either.

I like to know what I’m playing when I slot - Low variance/High etc. But like PNG I never quite know with Yggdrasil. Sometimes feel I’m firing deposit after deposit at a game that has no hitability. I deposit and bust on Vikings so be it - nature of the beast. I do the same with double dragons I almost feel cheated

???I would not mind busting on Vikings either, but I would feel cheated doing the same on Vikings go Berzerk, makes me feel like I am playing Holy Diver again.

Why? Why? Why? So many questions that no specific answers could sufficiently remove any doubts, much less to give any absolute answer to any one question.

What I can say, and know for certain, is that every player/gambler has own luck and preferences...something like own fate and destiny...so a million players would surely have differing tastes, likes, dislikes, and even luck, at any one casino, or with any one game provider.

However, I would surmise that most of Yggdrasil games have EXTREMELY LOW paytables...even the High Volatility games...resulting in dismally disappointing low payouts most of the time. But like I said earlier on, there would be certain players who would simply be very lucky playing Yggdrasil games, whilst most others would not. I am one of the unlucky ones...damn unlucky ones, if I may say so...so much so that I simply hate Yggdrasil games!

But then again, I can also say the same for a lot of other provider games as well...like Big Time Gaming, Push Gaming, etc, etc, etc. Somehow or rather, my luck seems to be with just a very few providers, namely Playtech, NetEnt, PlaynGo and Thunderkick. All the others would simply cut a big hole in my wallet! :p

Yeah I think it's all just down to personal taste. Take PNG for example, a popular provider for a lot of our members here but certainly not one of mine. I guess we just don't have many Yggdrasil fans here, that's not to say there aren't any though. I've never been a huge fan, when they first appeared I tried their games, won some lost some but never really warmed to them.

I don't think there's nothing you know, just seems yes you are the lucky few! If you like them then that's all that matters.

I get it. I wasn't a fan of Betsoft for the longest time until my recent winning streak.  I do think certain games are complete trash from every developer, but not every game. It could be based on total bias due to no luck or low paying base games where all the good pay is in the bonus. All I know is high volatility usually means higher payouts when you get the good hits (usually in the bonus).

I do think NetEnt, BTG, Playtech and yes Thunderkick are pretty good examples of well developed games (but they still have their stinkers). Sadly NetEnt BTG Playtech are pretty much done in Canada. Thunderkick is still available in some casinos, but it's fading away as well.

Thanks for the honest replies.?

Hey there and welcome to AskGamblers :)

Our of curiosity, have just checked my winner screenshot folder and guess what... Out of 700+ winners there are only ... attention please.... drums rolling... 2 /two/ coming from Yggdrasil slots. :(

As much as I like most of their slots portfolio couldn't help myself avoiding their games for the following reasons:

- low paytables;

- inadequate representation between RTP and real winning volatility which means big wins comes dis-proportionally rare opposed to the game's variance;

- as a high-variance slots fan I'm quite used to games which are difficult on triggering features, but no one beats Yggdrasil! It's really ridiculous!

Hope the above helps.

I have to agree. In the past there's only a few Yggdrasil games that have given any big wins at all. And with big I mean over 100x bet, not any 1000x or so. I am curious about the Cazino Cosmos slot as I haven't tried it and I have seen many great screenshots for it. Regardless, Yggdrasil slots for the most part lag on my laptop/phone, I don't find them to have an exciting winning potential so that's why they are on my "rather not play" list.

Want to hear my own experience on that Cazino Cosmos game my dear?

500 spins played...not even one single feature activated...not even adding any one of those collective symbols at the top...just lots of empty spins, plus a few blardy low payouts, followed by more empty spins! The blardy game ate all my money (including bonus money) without even giving anything decent back...it was down the drain hole all the way! I've labelled Cazino Cosmos as a stupid game to play...just as for many other Yggdrasil games anyway! :p

Ouch that's painful! Yeah I really don't like these games where you need to collect specific symbols for ages, don't have the patience to do that..for almost no payout!

Here's a screen from a session i was streaming with 0 people watching lol. Ignore the affiliate link, im sure you all have an account there anyway :p

Probably my biggest small bet win with YGG but others have come close.

I don't know why im having luck with them, seem most people are being screwed over. Maybe my time will come soon enough lol.

The games that have paid out for me are: Gem Rocks, orient express, Chibeasties 2, Trolls Bridge,  Hanzos Dojo, Tuts Twister, Valley of the Gods, Rainbow Ryan, Sunny Shores, Seasons, Casino Zeppelin, Nitro Circus and Reef Run.

All the viking games are money wasters IMO.

have to agree, Canada is losing many games lately. it's only going to get worse. Government is starting to look into the loss of revenue as well. So they are starting to restrict many software companies. I play Yggdrasil for fun only. I find their games to have good graphics. I rarely play with real $ cause they just don't have high payouts.

That reminds me of a time when I tried out many of Yggdrasil games in the fun mode...after a short span of spinning, the games became boring...no fun even in the fun mode! Hahaha. ?

I think Yggdrasil has great games, of course there are some bad ones but all providers have them. We all have different tastes, my favorite provider is Amatic, their games look old but they pay well.

That you can say again - I love Diamond cats, however Amatic all of them is highly volatile though. I only play them with $100 or more at least. I am sure @ValDes like Amatic as well. As a matter of Fact ValDes like any Super High Variance slots.

Talk about Amatic games, Hajnrih comes to mind...he simply loves Amatic and Merkur games. ?

True that! :) Used to play quite often some of the Amatic slots, DIamond Cats and All Ways Fruits being the most common ones , but nothing to praise for lately anyway...

By the look of it and since our forum mate hajnrih hasn't been around with some new winners lately, I assume he's more doing like me when it comes to Amatic slots.

Definitely agree with that! I do enjoy Merkur too :) I think they're becoming more and more popular though.

Which reminds me I'm still quite a stranger to Merkur slots.. ?

Must fix that asap, so would greatly appreciate if you could suggest some mid to high variance games to start with. ;)

All of them are High to Super high variance period! There is no medium slot that I can think of.

Below are the ones I know of and play.

Games:

Knights Life - Recommend - Super High Variance
Mirror Mirror Deluxe and Dragons Treasure - Thats if you like Book of Dead type of Game. - High Variance
Light Blocks - Recommend - High Variance
Double Tripple Chance  - High Variance
Gold of Persia - Super High Variance
Odin - Recommend - High Variance
Vampires - Recommend - Super High Variance

Most of the above slots give empty spins during base game. Need a good balance.

So all of them are all about the free spins/bonus game to be honest IMHO...

Good Luck.

I've had some really nice wins on Dragon's Treasure which works similarly to Book of Dead slot. Vampires seem to be very volatile as well, haven't yet managed to get past the 50x bet mark but I've seen some 100x bet wins on it. Recently tried Mirror Mirror Deluxe but it was super cruel to me.
