@Maiwen After checking your forum activity over the last several days, you were active only on one day to make 5 posts, and then you disappeared! Then on the last day of the contest, you submitted your entry.

From what I understand, the new rule require your posts to be spread out over several days, not all in one single day as you have done, which would not qualify you to enter the contest!

@cocopop3011 Personally, as I understand the new engagement ruling, Maiwen does not meet the engagement rule, so his last day entry shouldn't be valid. Anyhow, I'll leave this for you to decide.

The rules state: "ALL contests require every member to engage in the forum with AT LEAST 5 posts elsewhere in the forum. Posts within the contests section do not count. These MUST be posted within the contest dates. You must complete this requirement at least 96 hours before the contest closes; this means anyone waiting until the last day to complete engagement and enter a screenshot will not qualify for entry. If you have submitted an entry, you must remain active in the forum throughout the contest. These contests are for active members; you cannot turn up and enter with no engagement UNLESS you are a brand new player."

 

I posted my messages 96 hours before the contest closed. Staying active on the forum for the entire duration of the contest is sometimes impossible, especially since it's the middle of summer, the holiday season, and there are sometimes unforeseen circumstances that force us to be absent for a few days.

 

The new rule does not require that the posts be spread out over several days. You must read the rule carefully.

@Afi4wins looks like you thought about the rule of comments being spread across days but did not write it. 

You have mentioned that after making a screenshot you need to be active in the forum. @Maiwen completed his post requirement but never posted a screenshot. He did that on last day. So I believe he has followed the rule. 

But I like this rule of spreading posts across few days and I also suggested this in the past. Hopefully we adopt it in future contests.

@Maiwen I know and understand what you are saying and arguing about, but my understanding of the contest rules seem not to be mutually agreeable by most members. I don't make the rules - I simply copied and posted them as requested by @cocopop3011.

The final decision lies in her hands, but I will post 2 unofficial leaderboard results for her to use in the end.

@Blackjax The purpose of making that new engagement rule is to AVOID members from coming into the contest on the VERY LAST DAY to post their winning screenshot and to make 5 posts!

If @Maiwen had submitted ONE contest entry on the 1st or 2nd day of the contest, then submits his 5 posts later on before the 96 hours timeframe is up, then he is within the new rules requirement.

What @Maiwen did is more of what an OPPORTUNIST usually do in the previous contests, and that is what the new rules intend to discourage!

This contest should add some rule like the previous month's winning slot(s) should be excluded. Or a rule where the first place winning slot  is excluded for the rest of the year.  Easy enough to add, follow, and enforce.

Its dominance would show even more if you included all the times it's taken up the top-3 or top-4. It just shows that the best option by far if you want to place high in these contests is to play ZvH, anything else and you're at a great disadvantage. And even though it really is an awesome slot - something especially Loceff can agree to, with his 3 fabulous max wins and all -   it just feels against the whole concept of a "general" contest that you're pretty much forced to play one slot alone (and its clones obviously).  We've seen in the provider contests that they are becoming more and more a one slot alone type of thing, so at least the AG ones should offer some incentive for variation and exploration.  Remember:  "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"
