Hmm, I remember there used to be a clause like that in the rules. I just reread the rules for this contest and the general terms and conditions, and I didn't see that requirement anywhere. I thought that clause regarding the line had been removed.

Yet again we struggle to fill even 10 places even though there are 10 prizes. 

I think, going forward, this contest would be more attractive and fierce  if we took the prizes for 6th-10th and moved them  into the top 1-2 pool instead.

@marius1978 We already had contests with only 5 prizes but they weren't that popular. Small budget players like myself hardly ever get to win a prize!

The main purpose of all these AG contests is to get as many participation as possible, not only from existing members but also from new ones.

Yes, no doubt the goal is increased participation. And it's clear by now these 10EUR prizes aren't really attracting anyone. And why would they, when you have to invest at least 100 to get something worth entering with?

Also, there are so many contest running at any time across forums now, AG appears to be falling behind. Noone's going to "waste" a 1,000x winning screenshot on a potential 10-25 EUR prize unless they are in it just for the spirit of competion, which let's face it very few are.

We all know that those small prizes are simply not attractive enough, but trying to get more prize money from GiG is a totally different matter altogether. Not that our @cocopop3011 haven't tried - oh, indeed she has, but her hands are tied behind her back. 

So we all have to rely on contests sponsored by providers to get a bigger piece of the cake, but getting those sponsors is yet one more big hurdle.

Not really, we usually fill every leaderboard! It’s very rarely that we don’t.

Actually they’re not small prizes at all! In fact far from it - we are going very generous with a 1,000 fund every month considering we do not have heavy engagement rules. I have no plan to try and increase these prizes until people start engaging more on the forum. We’re a business not a charity after all

And a lot of these contests aren’t cash prizes are they? Can you name which other forums are running cash prizes over 1,000 eur that aren’t sponsored by anyone? Onvisouly not CM as we work alongside them.

Sorry I also want to add - the reason why I extended the leaderboard is because we was overfilling it every time and people asked me to add more prizes so they aren’t losing out. So far I think this is only the second time we’ve not actually filled all the spaces.

If @Vezynchik would have completed his qualifying posts that too would have filled the leaderboard.

Touché! This is very true, and please believe me when I say that I am extremely grateful that you've always been advocating for prizes in hard cash rather than vouchers. I hope I have expressed this many times over the 1.5 years I've been entering these contests
