The UKGC Goes in Hard With New Bonus Mixing Ban & Wagering Cap

The UK gambling scene is evolving at a fast pace, let me tell you. This time, it's in our favour!

We've seen more measures come into force, including a wagering cap and a ban on bonus mixing. 

Wagering requirements are now being capped at 10x  and casinos are not allowed to mix casino and sports bonuses. These measures are part of a wider safer gambling campaign and I imagine will be welcomed by most players.

What will that means for deposit offers for UK players, just remove them entirely given they are much easier to clear and no longer that profitable for sites?

WOW! That is extremely good news! No more 40x wagering rubbish, but this may also cap the withdrawals to 5x or 10x too - so no more 'no max cashout' limits.

A 10x wager cap isn't viable in terms of like a 100% bonus offer etc. Theres a reason they tend to be 30x+ so I think the only wagering you will be expected to do is maybe on free spins winnings(free spins with deposit etc) with a low maximum withdrawal value also attached to that.

I’m not sure and will need to check myself because I wondered last night how this is going to work. Surely a normal 100% bonus won’t come with a low 10x - don’t know what the nitty gritty of it is but will dig deeper today.

Feels pointless, a lower WR will only force the casinos to offer worse bonuses, won't it.

Potentially this is a knock on effect it could have for sure! Especially if this is a wider restriction the does actually apply to all bonuses including 100% welcome bonuses!
