Micro gaming or Netent..... Which do U prefer?

Recommended Posts

I wonder why playtech moved out of canada?

There games look good? When I was playing, if they were on my prefered casinos, I would have certainly played them.

I doubt we will ever know the exact reason behind the weird Platech's decision to pull out one of its most successful markets. However, there were some rumors ... One of these rumors is saying that if Playtech follows Canadian laws more strictly (it is illegal to gamble online within Canada after all) then, upon a further change in gambling legislation, Playtech would be in a better position than the rest of the major players on this market as a 'good company' which is not breaking the laws... ;)

What??? Illegal to gamble online within Canada???? :o Valdes Valdes.......by now I would have the time of my life dancing behind bars with a certain hot headed female cop (You know who you are) telling me I need to be imprisoned for a few days on account of my......"crimes"! This can't be true at all!

I suggest you to check with your country's current legislation concerning online gambling. Indeed, 'illegal' might not be the best word to describe the situation with online gambling in Canada, however, I'm sure you must be lawyer to be 100% sure if you are placing bets online legally or illegally. :p

A few questions though...

Do you think that the Playtech's 'accidental' pull out from Canada was just a coincidence? What about Neteller and Skrill recent restrictions?

In addition ... copied from http://www.viaden.com/products/canada-gambling-license.html

Canada has a unique approach to regulating gambling activities: provincial and territorial governments control gambling market within their territories. For example, ticket lotteries, horse racing and charitable games are legal in all provinces, while casino-style games can not be offered on the territories of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.

The country went a long way to legalize different kinds of offline gambling. Online gambling seems to have the same fate – step by step it gets legalized in different parts of the country.

Steps towards legalisation

Since 2009, the Canadian government has been gradually moving towards creating a decent competition to foreign gaming operators. Yet, except for online gambling services provided via provincial governments, gambling on the Internet remains illegal.

Another exception is the Kahnawake jurisdiction, located within the boundaries of the Mohawk reserve. Indians who live on the territory of the reserve have claimed that as they have some 'aboriginal rights', they wish to host and license online casinos. Although this jurisdiction remains a moot point for the government of Canada, chances are Kahnawake will set an example to the rest of the country.

Temporary solution for online gamblers

As online gambling in Canada has been a grey area in terms of regulation and licensing for a very long time, the Canadians gamble at online casinos hosted in other countries. The law prohibits gambling at Canadian sites, but it doesn't say anything about placing a bet at any other online casino. Some online casinos even accept Canadian dollars, so there is nothing to stop people from gambling there.

A lot of money leaks out of the country as people turn to foreign sites, so that's another argument in favour of legalization of online gambling that the government can't ignore.

Pioneer provinces

British Columbia was the first to go online in 2010. It has made a huge leap, moving from offering the local lottery online to opening a website for pai gow poker and casino games. The same year, Quebec followed the example and launched its own casino site.

The governments of Ontario and New Brunswick now seriously consider offering online gambling services to their residents. In 2012 they plan to launch their own sites.

Although all these sites are currently available only to residents of the appropriate provinces, the liberalization of online gambling industry in Canada seems to be just around the corner.

I used to like NetEnt, but lately The new slots are not that fun imo.

I like the features of microgaming more now. And I think that free spins often pay more.

Ha!  :hi:  for you Casinobonus! We share the same opinion ;)

Thumbs up for Leander Games! I made my first withdrawal playing on of Leander games..they can be really generous, raising up your balance, from €10 to €100, with one winning   And the game I play had a great, great free spins and bonus features, with multipliers!

It's this game - http://www.askgamblers.com/video-slots/queen-of-thrones-leander-games-game-review/

Hahaha!!! Now your giving me ideas that you are Valdes the Lawyer  :p

With all these constant changes of gambling legislation back and forth all the time, we are slowly turning into some kind of lawyers instead of gamblers who just want to play some and have fun! I'm sick to death to be completely honest! :(

So, what about this Kahnawake area? I didn't understand in which way they are exception?

This is what the Kahnawake Gaming Commission itself describes its own activities:

Kahnawake was one of the first jurisdictions in the world to recognize the opportunities afforded by the interactive gaming industry. Since then, the Commission has been continuously licensing and regulating a wide range of interactive gaming sites.

On July 8, 1999 the Commission enacted its Regulations concerning Interactive Gaming. As a result it has effectively and successfully regulated interactive gaming longer than almost any other jurisdiction in the world.

Online gaming operators that are licensed by the Commission must be hosted at Mohawk Internet Technologies, a data center located within the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake and managed by Continent 8 Technologies.

So, they have their own license? For Canadian operators or whoever wants to accept Canadians?

I don't understand the best

The answer of your question is hidden within their website. That's why I put this link below the above post:

Okaaaaaaaaay, but too much for reading :p

And you have to torture me, forcing me to read this, what you could already chew for me, meanwhile :D

Like I used to say all the time, your innocent candor is so disarming. :)

But not this time. I guess you should have to read some after all. :p

Hard choice... Microgaming was my favorite until they ceased accepting US players.  Haven't played at Net Ent yet but I heard it's decent.

Well, if you were a Microgaming fan before and providing the fact that NetEnt is probably 10 times better in terms of innovations and creativity built in their video slots, I guess you will love them from the very first sight. :D
