I get better base game hits than my actual free spins.

I think the frustrating part is that building the multis is not the problem. As you can build decent multipliers using 1 spin, but then the next 6 spins nothing happens. All completely dead!

Ok, I see those wins were actually base game hits, not from the free spins, so I guess all is good

Got another 12,500 spins under my belt today, with 42 features coming in (1 in 300). I've stopped getting excited about these free spins by now, they're pretty much all identical. Maybe the 150th one will produce something special, but that's a lot of spins away!

The game altogether performed very well for me today, though,  all those 100-150x's really add up and helped me achieve 108% RTP but it's really hard to see any huge multiplier win coming, unless the base game has one in store, or the retrigger finally appears (didn't have one yet).
