Cricket World Cup 2023, Bet Predictions

Recommended Posts

The cricket World Cup starts tomorrow in India and 48 matches will be played by 10 teams in the next 45 days. This event is going to be one of the toughest events  for all teams as almost all of them had a great run in build up to the World cup. India, Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa have a great chance of not just making it to the Semi Finals but also lifting up the trophy.

This topic will feature winner predictions from me and if anyone wants to bet you can take your chances. But no moneyback in case of loss!

Match 1- England vs New Zealand.

Both teams are strong and going by recent record I pick England as winners. Team which bats first will make more than 275. Target will be chased in under 45 overs if it's under 275.

Team that wins the toss might choose to bowl.

Do you place  any bets on Cricket? It's a sport I've never been into.

Yes, sometimes.

I understand you not liking it. Its too time consuming and too many rules to follow. But T-20 version is good for people who cannot invest too much time.

Everything in the first two columns will happen. From the third column first option will happen. From fourth column 2nd option will happen.

in first column, pakistan didn't have the highest opening partnership, pakistan had only 15 runs, and netherlands had 28. so that 1st bet boost is a loss.

then the 2nd column bet boost, both ul-Haq and Azam scored less than 30 runs each so that bet boost is a loss.

and the 3rd column, Merwe had taken 0 wickets so that 3rd bet boost is a loss.

and 4th bet boost is a loss cause Zaman and Azam had 0 sixes.

so bet boosts can be a trap...

It has been an upset today in the first half. Nobody expected this kind of performance today from Netherlands. This is like Manchester City underperforming against some club from Division 3. If Netherlands wins the match its going to be one of the biggest upsets in the history of WC, ever. People who would have bet on Netherlands before the match started are going to be printing money.

Netherlands needs 252 runs from 41.3 overs currently they are on 35 runs/1

Match 3: Afghanistan vs Bangladesh

Its a battle of two equal teams with both teams capable of defeating strong teams. Since it's a Day game team batting first has a strong chance of winning coz pitch will be helpful for spinners as surface gets hard under the sun.

My pick Bangladesh for win.

Match 4: South Africa vs Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka is aware of the conditions and can take advantage as its the Indian subcontinent. Sri Lanka has a slight edge over South Africa but the former has weaker batting than the latter.

I pick South Africa as winners but if Sri Lanka bats second they might "just" sneak in a win.

It would have been Eng 1.45 to win and New Zealand 2.5. Most casinos favoured England to win depending on their current form but England just imploded.

pretty empty stadium for that match.

wonder how it will be when India plays Australia on Sunday.

Thats the problem of neutral matches. Plus it was on a working day, high temperature, they said that stadium started filling in the evening as women were given passes and refreshments.

So far, my 3/4 predictions have been right.

I myself didn't bet on any of them as I don't have a good sports offer.

if you had bet 1000 INR on each of them

you would have gone -1000, +50, +666, +444... = +160

if you were betting to win 1000INR on each match then it would have gone

-2222, +1000, +1000, +1000 = +778
