February Contest - Win a Share of $250!

Recommended Posts

Going forward - I am really considering ending these contests.

I am now reminding all members to read the forum rules before posting. We are a friendly forum. I will not tolerate abuse against each other or being told what I should and shouldn’t do.

If I decide to continue these contests, we will have very strict rules from now on.

Afi - your screenshot is defaulted to GMT already. You playing before GMT is no different to Blackjax playing before. It’s hardly fair that I accept yours where your desktop defaults and not accept Blackjax. I will be reviewing both screenshots later. If they are both after 00:01 GMT I will accept.

@cocopop3011  And what about your earlier decision that the time zone does not matter, as long as each screenshot is taken within the contest validity period.

If I were to wait for 00:01 GMT to start collecting my screenshots, I would lose 8 hours of contest time at the start and again lose 8 hours at the end period because my date would show the next day's date, which would disqualify it for the contest!

But Afi - blackjack was already at 13th February in India - just like you were in Malaysia. Bad luck for Blackjax that the provider states the time in GMT. But your situations were exactly the same. If he was playing from desktop and could record the time then that too would show the same date as yours.

If I allow you to play from the 13th February even though it’s not in GMT then I have to allow all other members the same privilege.

I believe it was 3am in India 13th Feb?

Yes so I allow you to play 8 hours before. I don’t know how many hours ahead India is - but obviously Blackjax will be able to play during those hours too.

I think you are missing an important point here @cocopop3011

I play at my local Asian casino because it shows the date and time, as required by the contest rules, regardless of my actual time zone.

Blackjax would also get the same local date and time shown if he was playing at his local India's casino, but he chose an European casino using UTC time instead. Then he should have waited for the casino's time to go past 00:00 before playing there.

Furthermore, if he had played on his laptop, his local date and time would show as well.

Playngo is the only provider that shows bet history in UTC. No matter what country you play from they always show history in UTC. All others like Netent, Thunderkick, Booming games, pragmatic play and many more show bet history in Local time.

@Fiekie247 Can you confirm if you have any recent bet on any PlaynGo?

For me, the rule is very simple...if the date on the screenshot is not within the contest validity period, then that screenshot cannot be counted and should be disqualified.

Whilst this is true. I can’t allow you to play 8 hours before my local time and not allow other players to do the same. It’s a tricky one! Just give me a moment while I chat with our Guru.

@cocopop3011

Consider this scenario as well...the local date is 20th Feb, but the casino's date is still 19th Feb, and Blackjax post some more screenshots from that casino and gets them counted into the contest. Would that be fair?

A player can play at any time zone and submit screenshots, but each screenshot MUST show a valid date and time, regardless of the time zone.

That is the rule!

I will play for the contest soon and will try my Hammer Fall and will advise soonest.

However What i Noticed, even though it says UCT time, its still the exact same time as my GMT+2. So if the game says 10:10 UCT, it was actually the exact same time 10:10 GMT+2 as well.

That is with videoslots and Mr vegas.

I am going to try another random casino, and I tested the theory on Nine Casino and can confirm

Its Currently 17:41 pm here in South Africa and I placed my bet now on Play'n Go and reported it as 15:41 pm, which is 2 hours behind.

image.thumb.png.ce1f36a2589f0ad5b8c2b188b42dcbe3.png

So in essence had it been 00:01 GMT +2 ( 14 February) here by me, then Play 'n Go reported my Game entry as 22:01 UCT (13 February)

So @Blackjax theory is right about Play N Go slots.

Yes, unfortunately we are experiencing some delays. But as promised, I will keep chasing and keep you all in the loop as soon as I know. It may mean a suspension of the March contest.

Do we need to only post the link of the game in question (Ie. Thai Paradise), the screenshot of the big win and the game history of that win? Do we need to make a review about that game? Thanks!

Yes all that you have mentioned but you don’t need to post a review. Bet history is only needed if your screenshot does not already show the time and date.
