"Caught Out In The Rain"

I'm under your spell
Ain't nobody's business
I'm already there
And it ain't nobody's business

Every time he walks out the door
I wonder if he's ever coming back
But I can't help but love the taste of danger baby
And the howl and the wind and the rough of his hands

I got caught out in the rain
If I die I don't care I'm in love
I'm in love, I'm in love with this man
I got caught out, caught out, caught out
In the rain

I heard him crying in his sleep last night
No man wants to be told that he's been crying
When he wakes up I tell him it's gonna be alright
But I know that he knows that I'm just lying
I heard he shot a man down in the street
And it tore his soul apart
Last night when he was making love to me
There was a, another woman in his heart

I got caught out in the rain
If I die I don't care I'm in love
I'm in love, I'm in love with this man
I got caught out, caught out, caught out
In the rain, in the rain

I got caught out in the rain
If I die I don't care, I don't care
I'm in love, I'm in love
I got caught out, caught out, caught out
In the rain, in the rain

In his name
In his pain

Ain't nobody's business
Ain't nobody, ain't nobody, ain't nobody's business

I won't kiss and tell
Like a spell

Konstantin Simonov

to Valentina Serova

Wait for me, and I'll come back!
Wait with all you've got!
Wait, when dreary yellow rains
Tell you, you should not.
Wait when snow is falling fast,
Wait when summer's hot,
Wait when yesterdays are past,
Others are forgot.
Wait, when from that far-off place,
Letters don't arrive.
Wait, when those with whom you wait
Doubt if I'm alive.

Wait for me, and I'll come back!
Wait in patience yet
When they tell you off by heart
That you should forget.
Even when my dearest ones
Say that I am lost,
Even when my friends give up,
Sit and count the cost,
Drink a glass of bitter wine
To the fallen friend -
Wait! And do not drink with them!
Wait until the end!

Wait for me and I'll come back,
Dodging every fate!
"What a bit of luck!" they'll say,
Those that would not  wait.
They will never understand
How amidst the strife,
By your waiting for me, dear,
You had saved my life.
Only you and I will know
How you got me through.
Simply - you knew how to wait -
No one else but you.

1941

Are those from a song or a poem darling?

All about life...and love. :D

Wait for Me (poem)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wait for Me (Жди меня), written by the Russian poet and playwright turned war correspondent Konstantin Simonov, is one of the best known Russian World War II poems. It was written by Simonov in 1941 after he left his love Valentina Serova behind to take on his new duties of war correspondent on the battlefront.

Simonov and Serova were married in 1943. Their relationship was a troubled one. During the war it was widely rumored that Serova was a mistress of Gen. K.K. Rokossovski. While it's true that Serova, working as a hospital volunteer, met Rokossovski several times while he was recovering from a wound from a shell fragment in early 1942, there is no evidence that they were lovers.[1] Rokossovski already had a mistress at this time, Dr. Lt. Galina Talanova, with whom he had a daughter in 1945.[2]

The poem was notably referenced in "Red Star: The Soviet Union (1941–1943)", the eleventh episode of the ITV documentary series The World at War.[3]

"Wait for Me" is given in its entirety at the List of Russian language poets.

It's beautiful, don't you agree ..

Use your imagination, I wish more people are that way.

Well, when he was crazy in love with her, she was married darling, later her husband died and his dreams ' kind of ' came true but then he went into the war and wrote this poem to his never endless love!

You are welcome!

Crazy in love with a married woman? Hmmmm...true love knows no bound, as they say!

"You may be married, but I don't care, for you I'm here to stay!" Simonov say. Hehehe. :D
