In the vein of this thread, to anyone reading, you're now able to block gambling transactions if you bank with Natwest/Barclays/Halifax

Mr Green Suspends Me After I Deposit £15,000
pinnit2015 replied to discoramia's topic in Ask Gamblers
One reason, and not saying this is the case, is that they’ve submitted a suspicious activity report to the NCA for example. Under that, they can’t be seen to be tipping off and could possibly be a reason for why they’re acting like that. I doubt it but it does happen. -
Curacao, unless Sharons offering dodgy South American business licences as a side hobby. We will soon have 10 second enforced breaks between spins. Possibly even 24 hours. Even the UKGC might force us to chop our hands off to make it more difficult to spin.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it if done rightly: Netent appear to have converted them decently enough. MGs games are now an error ridden, clunky, slow mess. IR doesn’t even look like the original... SG messed up theirs as well; Rhino for example is not as bad as MGs but not far behind. So... not sure if it’s HTML5 or just lazy or cheap conversions.

Ah, Playboy. Used to have hours of fun with that when a teenager. Didnt know there was a slot called it as well -
Well yeah there is an argument to say that if casinos don’t want to abide by some of the RG obligations and others, then good riddance. To be honest, the taxes are probably the biggest factor: you pay 2% in cocopop licence land, 20 odd here. Its been the Wild West for a bit so any seachange is going to see some going. Biggest concern is however regulatory creep.

Presumably Ecogra/IBAS... what’s the status on the complaint here? Looks like they’re not for budging. Can you ask them why exactly the account was closed/suspended? -
Yeah, pretty much; though we still have the Casumo model? There have been a few casinos that I think have tried to apply bonus terms, even if in real funds, to a balance using some weirdly worded terms like ‘in play’
-
The only thing going for them is that they have the most Mega Moolah wins... I think. Dont know how they’re going to cope with HTML5 making most of their games unbearable but I suppose if you don’t remember the good old days.... One of the rare places iv never had an account at
-
Might just be the case that the company just utilises their platform, leaving cash out times at the discretion of each different casino? I could have a casino using their platform and tell punters I pay in 2 minutes and you tell yours two days, for example. Might depend on the specifics of the agreement and what’s actually ‘bought’ as part of it?

And players, seemingly, a bit less liberal with their stories

Man, CR really are fully of horse S. Middle of eating dinner? must be some degenerate gambler if she holds a fork with one hand and spins with the other. Plus, save some money for your daughters future? Prob best if you weren't spinning whilst eating turkey dinosaurs. If I'm hitting 58k I'm loading up on smokes and vodka for a Rollings Stones blow out, not complimenting them on the aesthetics of their site. -
Ah, Casino rewards...good to see they've moved on from their bogus 'cancer' advert. Progress, of some sorts.

Whilst we're on the topic on unfair conditions...someone brought the following to my attention. Unfortunately, it's back to 2017 and not sure what's happened since In addition to our general concern that significant conditions are not adequately communicated to consumers, we are also concerned about the fairness and transparency of specific terms which purport to set out restrictions on particular types of gameplay. Some of the more specific examples of such terms seek to prevent consumers from placing wagers above a certain maximum bet size. However, more nebulous and uncertain terms talk more broadly about consumers not engaging in ‘low risk betting strategies’ or otherwise behaving in a manner which the operator considers to amount to an ‘abuse’ of the promotional terms. In circumstances where there is nothing to stop consumers inadvertently engaging in such behaviours, and operators may exercise their discretion with serious consequences for the consumer (including forfeiting winnings and unspent deposit funds) the CMA considers such terms are not fair or transparent. Casino's know their dubious terms will be unlikely to be tested in a court of law, Hopefully though the licence reviews will cut a lot of their BS out.

So much change going on at the moment, with responsible gambling and increased emphasis on AML. When i first started playing online it was pretty simple - you deposited, played, won/lost, bonus terms were simply. Now? A lot different.

There's certainly nothing regulation wise that says they can/should/will, ask for selfies etc - it's a casino policy decision in many cases. Some places may do it for all customers. Some may only do it if they have suspicions as to whether the person is who they say they are (apparently) - why you may not see others complain about it, as it's not typically what they do. To be honest, if you only played with Will Hill/Sky Vegas etc you probably, in fairness, wouldn't know about it as you simply don't get these requests - verification is all done in the background (as it should be IMO) KYC comes from banking regulations and anti money laundering initiatives.
-
General rule here in the UK UK Casino's - VERY rarely, and certainly not in my case even when i won 5 figure sums a few times, go through this rig ma role All others - usually decent, standard KYC but not as automated as their UK counterparts PS - pretty sure a seasoned gambler will have heard of KYC? It's kinda international.

Just seen... after withdrawal request. Funny that
-
Only in rare circumstances have I closed accounts and getting one of these requests means closures. Whos the casino? Did they ask you after a withdrawal request? Homemade sign... lord, give me strength

Also,to add, it wasn’t scared of paying you on bigger bets as well. Not like some providers now who appear to transfer you to a different server when you up, it would give very decent wins as you went up. Probably will, for memories, still be in my top 5 games of all time though. Though not sure if that’s a bigger reflection of the types of games that are made now : super HV beasts. -

Sadly, the old MG are now done - wonder where the developers who made TS/TS2 and the 9 liners have moved to? They're basically now just managing the content of other developers now
