Pretty sure this is how most casino determine if they should offer UK: Tax: 2% or 20% plus, ok, check Regulatory Compliance: will add X amount onto our operating costs, ok, check. Risk of fines by regulatory body; increasing, ok, check Tax on bonus's offered: Might make it hard to break into market, ok, check Murmurings of max stakes: Might drive away high rollers (70% of a casino's revenue?), ok, check Competitors: why have some left the market and we're looking to go in? Ok, check And that's even before we get to the issue of people wanting their money back on the basis that they lost, errr, gambling (bit of a broad brush statement as there are some genuine cases) You don't need a PHD in Business Sciences to come to a half baked conclusion of the benefits of setting up in the UK on the basis of that. In fact, a decision could be made before the morning tea break of senior executives. It's almost, dare i say it, that there's a nefarious agenda in the background against casino's by certain political groups. Surely not...*spots the liberal Guardian newspaper on the tea break desk*

2016, I think, the UKGC have deemed BC to be a cash equivalent and therefore, for what i can see, there's nothing that precludes a casino from offering it to residents to the UK. In fact, i think the L&L group may have done so but, IIRC, withdrew it....In fact, the 5th EU ML Directive addresses BC, albeit, categorising it as high risk. Problem is that the UK's response to it has been, shall we say, lukewarm at best. Very little guidance from them on the back of it. From a compliance point of view, the chances of them issuing a blueprint to casinos to both accept BC and still maintain their licence conditions is as likely as Labour winning the next general election. Unlike MGA? Now, if i was Bitstarz, seeing how 6 million quid fines are handed down to casino's who deal in FIAT, my next thought would be 'they'll have a field day with us if we offer BC' - the amount of work that would be required to ensure compliance would be quite considerable (as part of the BC risk assessment there are so many other variables to take into consideration - eg. do they use mixers?) There's a fundamental disconnect ATM between where companies are going in the future and things like AML legislation - on the one hand companies are taking advantage of DLT for efficiencies/security, whilst on the other hand some regulatory markets are saying 'oh....the currency of terrorists and Money Launderers'. Playing Devil's Advocate tho...you have a MGA licence? If you have to comply with AML legislation and it satisfies the MGA, then surely it should be fine for offering to the UK? - after all the UKGC's views of AML are based on EU Law . Does anyone know if any UKGC casino's offer BC?

My experience is that they're more inconsistent now - though i do see some people claim they still get paid in that timeframe, my experience isn't like that. Eg. Request a w/d at 1am, it's not being done for me until 8/9 (no biggie cos I'm sleeping) The wagering for those FS is a bit mad. Suppose it depends what you like - I'd rather have a 50/100% depo bonus once a week than the chance to win 5FS.

Must admit, it takes some balls roll at 100 in Superflip. The problem the OP's story highlights is that for a gambling addict, no amount of money is ever enough. In fact, by the end of it, it's not about the money when you're rolling on amounts like that; the winnings are just to extend your play time, not to buy a house/retire a few years early etc.- 27 replies

Yeah, I think once you go up to 100e a spin then anything lower would be extremely hard to maintain. The boredom of 'only' getting 2500 quid from a quid would see it escalate. In an ideal world that's what i'd do if it happened to me but, whether i'd the discipline would be another thing - it would be good if you could manage that - money safe in the bank and still getting ur gambling fix knowing it's not going to skin you.- 27 replies

I think Stakers had the PNG on 89% or something mad. Other's will follow and soon we'll be looking at Land Based Casino's levels of RTP Funny how the UKGC is loving responsible gambling initiatives but wouldn't be bothered if they dropped the RTP's to the mid 80's. Lose faster - more deposits - chasing and the cycle continues.

You'll need to source their annual accounts which can be tricky in some jurisdictions. Plus, it won't really tell you much - it'll tell you what they've paid out but, unless you have something to benchmark it against, it's pretty irrelevant. If you're looking to see if their payouts are fair, look to see for example the ecogra audit. If you're looking to see 'if they pay winnings' then the above will be of no use.- 27 replies

It's a long way to the top and a quick fall downwards. Hardly poor by any stretch of the imagination but since i joined: - Payout times have gone from minutes to sometimes 6/7 hours - Rewards have been at least halved - Customer support is patchy now, tho still above average The above RTP is the icing on the cake though - those drops will have a HUGE impact on your playtime Whether they're doing it out of greed or simply to survive is kinda irrelevant - Casumo/Redbet etc aren't doing this. Not that it will matter to average Joe who don;t even know what RTP is. Seen enough in my time to pick out the tell tale signs and VS are coming down with them unfortunately.

Mr Green Suspends Me After I Deposit £15,000
pinnit2015 replied to discoramia's topic in Ask Gamblers
What? A contract being put in place to guarantee? Just getting more bizarre! Sod that, I’d be just looking for the cash back; opportunity costs and all that -
1. Trustly 2. Visa at those places that have enabled fast withdrawals back to debit card (Sky Vegas/Trada) 3. Paypal - not a fan of e wallets but PP is the best IMO - no extortionate fees compared to Skrill etc.
-
Alas, it is no longer just the 3/4 countries that VS are dropping to the lower RTP's, it's all of them. Red Tiger/PNG/Pragmatic will now operate with the lower settings on VS across ALL Markets So, whilst you may have had the higher RTP in those countries unaffected, tough - join the reduced play time club.

I've put this through google translate. True, it required to processing power of Silicon Valley, to decode, but what i believe the poster is saying is: Stay away from this group of dodgy money grabbers. Or, something to that effect. -
This might be the best you can hope for *Last Christmas I gave you my deposit, but in 234 spins, you took it away*

Good point. The big boys have been exploring it - for example, American Airlines, but they've more been exploring the use of Blockchain in their op's, rather than the coin... Whether BC can shake the link with the dark web/illegal operations remains to be seen....

Mr Green Suspends Me After I Deposit £15,000
pinnit2015 replied to discoramia's topic in Ask Gamblers
There's definitely been a sea change across the brand - from other sources it seems the Group aren't that willing to discuss issues anymore...seen the term GDPR banded around. Tis odd for sure...most i've taken out of there was 5k and it was paid within seconds so not sure why the 15k has raised the alarm bells for them, or given they're now part of Will Hill Group, why it's such a large amount to cause ripples? Hopefully the OP will get sorted - taking them at their word, and presuming their not a money launderer, the only thing they've possibly got wrong is running with the presumption that the cash out facility will always be available. -
Useful for the MG conversions that were, inexplicably, made without the function.

Video about online gambling sites operating illegally and more
pinnit2015 replied to Flatzem's topic in Casinos General
It's all fair and good highlighting the ropey casinos but what about the Australian government's role in increasing this? Did no one sit and think 'hey, i wonder where people will go if we ban it, rather than be bothered to build a reputable licensing jurisdiction?' In fact, the Australian govt's approach it it has been shocking, even the sites they set up to scaremonger people from playing was extremely OTT. You'd have to be pretty naive to think that a government makes something such purely out of an interest to protect folk - if you can't tax it, ban it. To be honest the video confused me a tad - whilst any story such as the one from the individual is terrible, the undertone is more anti gambling (the heavy use of the presenter of using the word illegal with such glee) than (more deserving) 'look at some of the deplorable casino's who continue to exist' Best not confuse illegal and immoral though because they're two completely different things. If you want to protect your citizens then establish a robust regulatory framework, ensuring that only the best quality operators can offer their services and enforce it with venom. If they don't meet the standards, then they're out. The above aside, a wicked affliction to have.- 11 replies

Yeah, it's fine to use a bank for all your gambling transactions. If you never want a mortgage from them. It's all a bit lip service anyhow - RG controls/banking controls are fine to a point but an addicts going to gamble. Only way they can be useful is if you have the pang one minute of gambling, it stops it and the notion passes. But if you've not taken that step to stopping it really isn't going to make a jot of difference.
