[Edited:] Speculations about online casinos?

PS even for the non financial minded - have a read of Netent's annual accounts-you will find them interesting as they talk about the slots, expanding into other areas and even reference the specific slots -

Most of the progressive jackpots are a 'pooled' exercise between casinos - Playtech will transfer the money to the casino and then the casino to the player, so if you really wanted to verify the jackpots you could examine their financial statements You could argue that whatever form of advertising, you can't confirm? Eg. does the dyson vacuum cleaner really have that many testimonials and suck up that much dirt? Personally speaking - i think having the regulation of the UKGC and the ASB is more than enough here. If you doubt the validity of such claims....REPORT! I've yet to hear of any fictitious jackpot wins here in the UK - only those who don't get paid Between that and casinos displaying their audited certifications i think anything else on them would be overkill - the only exception to that is that I think what we lack here is a casino Ombudsmans like the Financial Conduct Authority EG - in the UK we had Tesco selling horsemeat as beef! - these things happen and the problem is that the regulator normally only comes AFTER the event. So it's not just casinos that we're talking about here.... Where their is money there's greed - regulation, whistleblowing and deterrents are all you can hope for. Unfortunately some casino's operate with limited impunity and the financial sanctions, other than losing customers, isn't that great - Give you that one -

Most business exist with the purpose of taking money from you. Even the government in the context of a socialist utopia. As for acting 'legally' - it's a bit more complicated than that. If you're referring to 'fake wins' then there are bodies, certainly in the UK, that will police that (for want for a better word). Don't really see where you're going with most of what you've said but I am sceptical of some of the adverting - down to my last 10 pounds, won a jackpot with a 30p spin? Really? Some affiliates must take some of the blame as well - take Casumo; good casino but poor affiliate management allowed advertisements that were simply wrong (4 wild reels in Starburst?-Only 3 are possible) and they got fined by the ASB recently. I'm very much anti-Government interference - most already have their fingers in pies. Take here in Scotland for example - minimum alcohol pricing done in the name of 'protecting vulnerable people' Rubbish. Australia is doing what it's doing in terms on online gambling, not for social protection, but because of lost revenues. Addiction to gambling can't be pinned down to adverts for example - may be because of external pressures, social deprivation etc etc. But yeah - some of the casinos, but more so affiliates, are a bit loose with the advertising standards. -
You tend to find that casinos with good reps are...err, good. CasinoMax has Karolina as theirs (from the old Club World Casinos, before they imploded) so unless you flout any rules, you'll be fine with those guys.

For those of us who can use Sky Vegas - withdrawals to BANK CARD, within 2 hours (last one was 10 minutes) - plus, without the fee's of e wallets, the risk that they go belly up (Barclays only atm) and the possibility they block accounts 'subject to review' If other sites follow suit, that may give some of the Netellers/Skrill users a cheaper and faster way of getting money into their hands Plus, you're not going to be bonus banned.

True - some people got to learn the hard way

Virtual casino group? If so, rogue. Seriously, waiting all that time to be paid? You're nuts to play there
-
I think so....To my knowledge those who offer it to aussies are at their own risk but as the payment providers pull out, Bitcoin ones are the only option if they do so. Casinomax accept aussies - you wouldn't go far wrong with them.

And also search for someone who won after spending a fortune in 10 years at the casino rather than the predictable 'only a member for a day' 'down to their last euro'. Of course casino's don't sensationalise this as they'd get in trouble with the advertising standards board? Oh wait.... -
The IGA Bill - Big Government don't like losing out on taxes - Big Government clamp down on online casinos. Have you seen the government gaming site in Aussie regarding this? They're treating online casino players as if they're mass murderers. I know GIG run casinos pulled out last year - Betspin/Guts etc. Then casino, 32 red etc. Neteller/Paysafe/Skrill will be stopping deposits/withdrawals in a few days I've heard that Videoslots are going to offer Bitcoin so that may be the only option in the future.

Have a read of Addiction by Design by Nat Schull - primarily machine slots in Vegas but same ethos. Same for Bonanza - last 2 quid you get 3/4 GOL's. Quaint. -
funked? Missed the D...bit like Bonanza Boom Boom

As an auditor by trade, an often overlooked trait is not just BEING independent but the perception of it. Threats to it aren't just limited to 'the oversight body is funked by the people they're policing' but can be more subtle - e.g. dealing with the same people gives rise to familiarity which will in turn lead to independence issues. Same for AG - as i'm sure Valdes will acknowledge! - you need to draw clear walls between being an affiliate and offering the complaints service. Nothing wrong with having the 2 - you just need to draw a clear segregation between the 2

Mega slot wins - oh yes, it's possible!

twas the wild symbol one... retriggered x2 (2 full columns) - sadly it would have been more but it never gave the skulls on first reel but 'just' 9's giving roughly 50-90 quid for last 3/4- 3526 replies

Netent's servers have probably gone into Defcon1 given that they are too used to 300 x and below. Congrats, however... you can post another 15 of these and the only time i'll play it is with free spins as i've not had a 200 x on it

I struggle to see the financial benefits to be honest - Leo's already got a good share (despite having a mixed bag of financials over the last year) of the market so not sure what the synergies are....hopefully they're gonna develop RP, not wind down etc. I'm surprised because RP had really carved out a great set up but maybe they feel nows the time to cash out (and not reversible )

Instant Play vs Download: Help Needed Please
pinnit2015 replied to cocopop3011's topic in Casinos General
The only difference i notice is on the video poker - used to be the case that there were more downloadable games than browser but over time that faded. As for the speed - we have a 140 connection where we stay so i don't/didn't notice any difference. I still prefer the downloaded VP. Sadly it was all going to move away - some casinos are reporting that 60% of their revenues come from mobile versions so it wouldn't have made any sense to plow cash into what is essentially a desktop model. Not played at 32 Red for a while so i'll not be surprised when i do and Viper's gone Alas.- 8 replies

The latter has agreed the purchase of the former. 100m Euro's. RP's always been one of the most trustworthy and fair so maybe now LV can throw some other providers their way because that was the only thing i found wanting at RP. Hopefully it doesn't follow the route of good company takes over good company. And ruins them (or as Aspire Global did with casino luck etc, make it a different company. For the worse) And maybe RP can show LV what a loyalty programme actually looks like. Can't see withdrawal speeds etc being affected - RP's are normally within 12 hours max anyhow.

Bonanza's a beast. I hit 6 bonus rounds in Sky Vegas the morning in about 150 spins. But last week i must have went 1300 without one. Still rather that that spend money going 'woo hoo' at 60 quid Net Ent wins.- 9648 replies

Monday Fiery Sevens - WildTornado Casino
pinnit2015 replied to AlexBorosh's topic in Casino Bonuses and Promotions
Restricted games....less than 100% contributions...bonus bans for using too often. Interested to see some stats of how many people cash out from a bonus - my impression is not many, which makes it even stranger why casinos insist on imposing more and more conditions. If they simply don't want to offer them, don't. No Bonus casino is an example of one that's marketed itself on not offering any. For me it's too much hassle taking one. Only good ones are the non sticky ones. Because it's money you'd have had to deposit anyhow. Apart from that, mehhhhhh- 5 replies
