Why casinos stopped accepting Skrill and Neteller as paying method

It’s like giving casinos another few weapons in their armoury to delay payments :-p There’s been some questionable interpretation of the 4th Directive. Interesting to see how it pans out. And how it sits alongside GDPR. How I’ll miss that exemplary customer service of Skrill. I’m still waiting on a reply from 2014. -

All sounds a bit bureaucratic for me, plus I’m too old to move to London-all those people; I prefer my barn :-p -
Why casinos stopped accepting Skrill and Neteller as paying method

Probably something to do with the fees and the fact that the bulk of frauds seemingly use these methods. Know hats why Trada said they were curtailing their use a while ago. Obviously something in the bankground for most casinos to be adopting this. No loss here as I won’t pay their ridiculous fees they charge these days. Maybe a rep can jump in and say why but their lips have been pursed so who knows... -
Atlantic Spins On-Line Casino - dodgy bonus round videoed.

No point sending it to the UKGC in the first instance as they’ll tell to to take it through the ADR of the casino. Bottom pound on it not found to be rigged ( which is a term people increasingly band about when they don’t like the outcome) but your choice whether to waste time and effort on it. -

Not sure as I usually login first....the UKGC have been busy the last 6 months (national self exclusion database is being beta tested as we speak- quarter 2 this year is planned live date- exciting :-p) Once I get a job there I’ll let you all know :-p -
Thing is with the addiction is that it’s not the cash, or lack of, that is the greatest consequence is many cases. It’s what it permeates through to: lack of interest in others, lack of interest in previous interests and the destruction of relationships with others because you’re too busy doing what you want. Do feel that sometimes it’s looked down upon: an alcoholic or drug addict will often obtain the heavy sighs of ‘that’s a shame, poor them’ but the gambler will elicit ‘their fault’. In the UK the tide is shifting (partly maybe due to the fact that the country’s allegedly a ticking problem gambler tinderbox) with recognition as a mental illness.

Atlantic Spins On-Line Casino - dodgy bonus round videoed.

This isn't anything unusal. For example, in Immortal Romance on some sites the balance goes up on the Wild Desire Feature meaning that when it spun i knew i was getting the four reels. More rubbish programming than being rigged. Some free spins rounds are pre-determined, some not for example. Take Bonanza - when you have the 12 free spins the amount of the full 12 isn't predetermined. Each spins sends out for another RNG. However, for some the 12 IS. Depends on the software. Same for pick features - people will say 'oh wish i'd gone the middle one'. In most cases, like yours, it's pre set what you've won so picking different ones doesn't matter. There are a few, but they are limited, that don't work this way however. -

Must admit it is a bit weird - so to check out the games i need to pass my personal details over even though i may decide i don't like it/want to play. Normally i browse before buying. Only thing i can think is some over zealous new rule about not allowing under 18s to look around. But normally a disclaimer would be sufficient. -

Probably one of the 6 I's of e-marketing/commerce - obtain details first Having said that...not sure if it's 'due to legislation'. Some sites allow browsing but not the sign up. -

Oh to have South Park Reel Chaos back -
Unless you can prove the casino in question has been negligent I'm afraid you probably won't be able to go further with it - sorry to be harsh, but you were the one who left the phone in the car etc so hard to see how the casino can be at fault. If the casino was hacked then that may be a different story. There'll be readers here, and i'll be honest, who may think that this is case of someone who's tilted, played it back themselves and is now trying to get their cash back. 11k is a lot of cash but it's not worth getting dragged into possible actions against yourself by being a bit liberal with the chains of events - the casino will look at play records, even your favourite games to see any similarities etc so don't go down that route :-) Regardless, good luck Police Scotland may be a busy looking for their new Chief Constable after Gormley chucked it :-)

Be good if someone who knows more about fraudulent transactions/legal standings if proven to be fraudulent , could chip in... Good luck - if if was a few other casino brands other than the very prescription caddell/white hat I’d say you could appeal to their more human side! Let us know what happens. On a side note-did someone or could someone have known that you had this cash sitting? And... play with places that don’t have 24 to 48 hr pending periods and/or no lock function

Spinstation closed account and wont refund deposits
pinnit2015 replied to aaebingo's topic in Casinos General
If they roll out the central database in the UK then one SE will apply to all possibly with a UK licence Course you could still play at a rogue with no licence so that’ll always exist. -

Won’t go into it in detail but SE continues to remain an issue. I can see the casinos view in terms of free rolling players etc Anyway, submit a complain here and see how it goes Every matrix adopted the view of ‘no refunds’ years ago but backed down. Check the 888 ruling as well- poor SE practices. They have a UK licence so I believe it applies -

Valdes will confirm but I thought it was part of their licensing conditions that these deposits should be returned. -
There is narrative of something similar a few years ago and William Hill did refund the player but there may have been mitigating circumstances to it. Or simply a gesture. Casinos naturally are going to very sceptical about things like this and for good reason. Supplying a police report won’t create a legal obligation to refund though and in locking the account and having no money taken or withdrawn would perhaps suggest the casino have discharged their responsibility.

Sadly not sure if you have any recourse against the casino. The only point would be if the casino had failed to adopt appropriate security measures (ie failed PCI DSS/poor data protection controls). From what you’ve typed this isn’t the case here so only recourse would be if you’re able to find out who did it and launch a civil case etc for losses. Pretty sure they’ll be something in their terms and conditions. Wonder why they played the cash if they couldn’t withdraw to it? If the casino had allowed a withdrawal to their bank then mayb you could go with something but even then their view may be that it up to you to secure accounts and devices.

The speed for me is, or was, their only selling point. Withdrawals back to cards are now being done by some within 2 hours, which is in effect quicker than Skrill! (by the time you put in the request and they action it) Though I wouldn't promote it you have the chargeback protection of debit cards (and before anyone gets any ideas you can kiss your casino life bye bye if you use it) and the various protections of even credit cards (again, not one for promoting that). Or...if you want a mortgage I don't think the bank wants to see hundreds of casino deposits (i use a separate debit card purely for casinos - be interested to see how open banking may effect things) Don't know the reason but a casino rep told me that something like 80% of frauds in their casino were linked to these deposit methods and that was the primary driver - in other words, both have been too lax. Don't know how true etc that is.

The war on e wallets, particularly Skrill and Netteller, began with bonus bans. Now it's onto full bans - Betit (Thrills anyway) are the next to completely ban them (Highroller are part of Betit as well as other that escape my mind) Personally I've never been a fan of either - no financial protection, the fees and another company that may cause issues in getting cash into your hand don;t really give it a great selling point to me. But others may find it an 'inconvenience'.

Rizk? Casumo? Some don’t allow reversal - novibet and sky vegas
-
Sky Vegas have verified me without me having to send in anything so possibly you are deemed to be verified by some. They should b KYCing all players who meet the threshold etc per the Money laundering regulations and licence. Either way I’d ask them as it’s Sod’s law you hit a 100k win and then have to find your passport :-)

That’s a bit odd... Royal Panda see most of my deposits and only yesterday I woke up to an email saying complimentary 30 quid in my account and they’ve been pretty pro active in terms of this (unlike Leo who you have to ask) Thus far I’ve seen no adverse effects of any takeover - if anything better; faster withdrawals and more games. But as still on two licences it’s likely it’s not rippled through. Only really two options: continue playing or, if you’re not happy, vote with your feet and go elsewhere.
