  1. I like a lot of Playtech games However, what bothers me about Playtech is that most operators who are powered by them either have long pending withdrawal times, or have predatory progressive terms that enforce players to receive weekly installments in case they win a huge jackpot. I like to be 100% sure nothing can go wrong when playing online, and right now not many Playtech casinos offer me that guarantee. Next year our newly liberalized gambling market will have the State's casino using Playtech though as their software supplier. So I'm definitely looking forward to that. But for now it's Microgaming, NetEnt, WMS and every now and then Playtech for me most of the time.
  2. I'm sure I'm not the only one who done this while playing online poker lol. Bad beats are part of the game, but after many, many hours at of playing at the peak of your concentration - it can really hurt to go out in a tournament and miss the chance to win some big money because of a 1-outer or runner runner full-house at the final stages of a tournament. Both have odds of less than 1% of happening lol That's why I prefer to play slots these days, less thinking - just spinning and pray to god for some luck
  3. True that Valdes! You never know when it's going to be your lucky day. All we have is the avg. RTP to make a calculated guess from, but these figures are based on millions and millions of spins. With any bonus you have to be lucky that you have a couple of decent big hits during those 2,000+ spins you play spins you play.
  4. It all depends on the budget I have usually during a gaming session. My biggest hit on this game came from a 0.30 euro bet btw lol 4 reels wild on the Wild Desire feature ended up in me winning more than 600 euros (2000x bet size). I've had several of free spins with 3 euro bets that were absolutely rubbish not even awarding me more than 10x bet size. I would love to have a huge Wild Desire hit with the max bet, that would be awesome
  5. I'm no bonus hunter, since taking a bonus usually means some restrictions being enforced to your game play. However, taking advantage from a deposit bonus can extend your game time and give some additional bankroll to maybe try bigger bets. The art is to be able to separate good deposit bonuses from the bad. Like cocopop mentioned in het reply above me it's important to know if you can extract any value from the offered deposit bonuses. The higher the wagering requirements, the lower your odds usually are to be able to cash out with some profit. There is something like a Bonus EV-calculator which gives you the expected value based on the bonus percentage, wagering requirements and the avg. RTP of a specific slot. Experienced bonus users tend to make use of such calculations before they take on a bonus. I usually only use deposit bonuses if they offer a bonus percentage of 100% or above and wagering requirements of 35x or less and very rarely 40x. Anything higher is usually not worth the effort for me. Then you also have no-deposit bonuses which don't have any risks involved. You will usually come across very high wagering requirements, since they are free and some casinos just don't want you to be able to cash out from them lol. I usually don't use these except if it's a reliable casino that has a decent offer with WR of 50 or less. Over the past 12 months I been able to convert small no-deposit bonuses and free spins offers to 850 euros, 650 euros, 100 euros and 25 euros. I cashed most of these out and messed it up at some other casinos lol. So think about it...chances are slim, but you have nothing to lose eventually.
  6. Lol haha lovely thread this is! As man who broke hit laptop screen at least 3 times (3 years ago for the last time), I can fairly say that sometimes emotions get the best out of you. You just have to stay calm and accept what happened, whether it's a failed bonus round or so many dead spins in succession. Keep your cool lol The laptop screens I broke weren't slots related though. They were all because of some ridicolous bad beats in online poker, which can even make the sane go insane for a brief second.
  7. You're welcome guys I hate to see players having a rough time to get paid by dodgy casinos. The right information is key, I think your thread dedicated to this is great Valdes! I'm glad if we can help players to make a much better decision on where to play, and where not to play.
  8. Incredible hit Valdes I always feel so silly when playing this game on 0.30 bets. It makes me instantly regret it when I have a decent hit lol I usually go broke on this game betting too high, and seeing lame Wild Desire features with only one reel turning wild. How did you manage to have 1400x hit? Must been 5 wilds with lots of Sarahs during the Amber future I guess.
  9. Wow Afi? How could you not play this game lol I think there is no Microgaming casino where Immortal Romance isn't one of most popular games around.

  11. I always follow the following steps when I choose a specific online casino: 1) Reliability - I cannot stress enough how important this is. Do your research before selecting an online casino. There are several great forums including AskGamblers to see how a casino is rated and if they have any complaints. Sometimes you won't find any negativity on the internet at all, most often that's a good thing if a provider is a reliable and has a good reputation. Be careful with new casinos though, since they might not display any negativity online because of their new status. 2) Games - The second thing I check is which games do they have? If they have games from Microgaming or NetEnt, then they usually are a reliable operation from my experience. Those are the best two software providers hands down. A trend in the online casino industry is that more and more casinos offer a multi-software platform these days with even more games. I usually go for them to play only the best of the best. I also check if they offer live casino games such a roulette, blackjack and baccarat. I like to play table games against real dealers, since the software version is quite boring and doesn't appeal to me. The presence of online poker and sportsbetting at an online casino is always a plus IMO. 3) Cash out speed - I like to be able to cash out, just as easily as I can deposit. Of course that's not possible due to security verifications. However, some online casinos do come pretty close to that just like Redbet (less than 15 min via eWallets), Guts (less than 2 hours most often via eWallets), Mr Green & Unibet (within 24 hours). Some online casinos enforce "pending time" where they hold your fund for a few days before releasing the. If an online casino wants my business they better offer either a no deposit bonus, or a withdrawal time of less than 48 hours max. That's the reason why providers like 888 and Europa Casino don't get to profit from my choices. They take way too long to process - 4 days? Are you guys kiddin me! 4) Bonuses - Last but not least I think bonuses can be very beneficial as well. Don't let yourself be fooled by high bonus percentages though if the wagering requirements are very high. I don't use bonuses too often, but I like if the wagering requirements are low (30x or lower), and that the casino rewards loyal players in form of freebies or free spins. Some online casinos do this better than others. 5) Terms & Conditions (transparency) - There is almost no industry where terms & conditions are a must-read like in the online casino industry. When playing at an online casino, you have to obey the rules. No multi-accounting or filing false information, these can lead to confiscation of funds. But some (dodgy) online casinos have made it an art to confuse players as much as possible by enforcing ridicolous terms & conditions to fleece people from their funds after a misstep. Terms & Conditions are especially important if you use a bonus, because using a bonus always has set rules. The most reliable online casinos have full transparency and clearly state what you CAN DO, and what you CANNOT DO. That's why it's always smart to only play at casinos that have a proven reputation or at least decent scores. The above mentioned steps are the guidelines I basically follow when choosing an online casino. I'm happy to say that I never had a problem cashing out somewhere, and always receiving my winnings on time.
  12. Thanks Valdes I had one bigger of approx. 500-550 bet size during the base game as well. But I deleted the screenshot some time ago since I failed to cash out lol I'll try not to do that from now and on share some more screenshots, and most important cash out in time!
  13. Haha loving your answers so far guys I voted Amber for both as well just like you cocopop. However, my votes even raise my own eyebrowes because I choose the Sarah feature like 80% of the time when possible. My best hit has been on the Amber feature though, hitting like 500x bet size by having several wilds and 5oak Sarah symbols. Also keep in mind that the Amber feature is the only one that can be re-triggered for another 10 free spins. Even though I had some decent wins of 100 and 200x bet size on the Sarah feature, I just find it very, very and very annoying these days. Sometimes it's just like I have to suffer for 25 spins. Especially when reels 1 and 2 don't match, if the wild vine appears on reels 3 then you know it's garbage. Yet it extends like 4 four times (once on reel 3 and 3 times to reel 5 most of the time). If the above happens several times, then I find it extremely annoying. Sometimes I just choose the Amber feature to just get it over with. But it always remains a tough dilemma since it sometimes takes me more than 600 spins to even trigger the free spins. The Sarah music is top notch as well though, but I like the Amber music a tiny bit more.

  18. Hi Valdes, @ special contest. I was simply asking because I hoped it wasn't cancelled due to my delayed response, but everything was clear to me once IcyMod responded. I tried reading this thread back, but I was left with a couple of questions - that's all basically @ available games. I know I mentioned the missing games more than once, but it's in no way meant to criticize this forum. Please interpret my comments as constructive feedback from the point of view to improve the forum where possible. I think you guys are doing a great job here at AskGamblers.com. Not too many gambling forums offer so much valuable information, no deposit bonuses, contests to compete in etc. I'm happy to be a member here.
  19. @ IcyMod: I thought you were on your way to 100+ plus this month IcyMod. But yeah the more reviews we write, the less there are available to write about. We have to dig deep into our memories to remember slots that we haven't played for a long time or only during brief sessions. So I can definitely imagine that 100 reviews is a lot. But I'll try it anyway. @ LordCronal: Reel Rush is also a slot I can't stand lol, never had a decent win on this...all it does it swallow my bankroll. I'm glad I don't play it anymore, because my laptop been in serious danger at times lol
  20. I've played Avalon II at Unibet last week and I must say I was kind of dissapointed by the results only. I probably lost close to 200 euros on 0.90 cent bets. The graphics of the slot look incredible though, but I didn't manage to trigger any bonus round even once. Looks like it's really hard to trigger. Same goes for receiving 5oak in base game with the higher paying symbols. The wilds appear very rarely as well. It has been a bankroll swallower so far for me, but I guess I have to give it another chance or maybe not. I'm still undecided
  21. Yes, on 1 January 2015 the Dutch market will be liberalized. Recently casino.com has been fined 150K. Parties who stop focusing on Netherlands when online gambling is still kinda illegal here (laws havent been changed in 50 years or so), have a better shot at receiving a license. But since Playtech has a huge deal with Holland Casino, they simply are on pole position since it's state owned.
  22. Absolutely Icymod Lots of very popular slots missing, including the slot I have a personal vendetta with: DOA Would love to see them added anytime soon.
  23. Ooh damn! I really feel like I missed out on something - a contest in a contest sounded very good. I hope it isn't because of my late response to the question. If that's the case I really apologize guys. I'm looking forward to what you have in mind though -hmmmmm wonders-
  24. Oh boy, what a nice thread this is haha For me gambling started as a kid really. I always used play some type of game for marbles or play with football cards to win them of my opponents and sell them and make money when I was only 8-9 years old. This quickly turned into playing games for real money (coins) against friends when I was 10-11 years old. We then moved on to playing cards for money around age 14-15. I think I started playing slots around age 16, which was too young but they never questioned. I guess I looked older than I actually was. Then from age 18 I started visiting land based casinos playing roulette, baccarat, blackjack etc. Ever since I've added poker also to my portfolio. It took a few years though before I started seeing my ways into online gambling but it has been more than 5-6 years now I believe. I've never been scammed by any online casino, simply because of the presence of great forums on the net including AskGamblers. I guess I could say I'm a born gambler in many ways
  25. It been a while since I've played at any Playtech casino, since a lot of them have predatory progressive terms I think Playtech moved out the Netherlands and Finland because they don't want to jeopardize their position in these two markets. Online gambling will be legal and Holland Casino (the only allowed legal land-based casino here) already confirmed that they have contracted Playtech to be their main provider for a newly online platform. Which in my opinion isn't the best choice if we purely look at the way how the online casino market is moving. Most online casinos these days have a multi-software platform with the best games from several providers. I think that's the way to go in 2014 and the upcoming years
