Hi and welcome to the forum, a deep post this evening - I like it! I guess your dad was right, the house does always win in the end. Gambling can be fun but if there's ever time it no longer becomes fun that should be your que to stop. Unfortuantely, by this point some people can't stop and yes absolutely it can ruin lives, split up marriages. I don't think this industry will ever be "for everyone" and I think gambling will always be lets say... "frowned upon" and by that I mean - I can’t remember the last time I opened Facebook and Instagram and seen someone post photos of them going to a casino but every day I see pictures of people going out drinking. Why? Because gambling has always had this big cloud that surrounds it for some reason. Play within your means and there's no reason to hate it at all. I'm guilty of it myself. How many of my friends and family do I tell - "oh I had a mega good gambing session last night on slots" - NONE! How many would I say "Had a mega good night last night got so drunk!" - probably loads. Perception being the issue here. Just my opinon on this of course - neither right or wrong.

Rewind...... Rewind to 8 years ago-ish and everyone always used to warn me about playing at casinos with a Curacao license. I never really understood what all the fuss was about because, to the best of my knowledge I've never experienced any issues with their licencees. Which begs the question, are Curacao the underdogs?
