It's actually great that you care about your customers and implemented that auto bonus cancellation when balance drop below 0.80. What's definitely not great though is what player suggested as possible scenarios where one could lose substantial winning amounts due to the current set up of the aforementioned auto bonus cancellation. I was thinking what if you keep that option as it is when it comes to balance dropping below 0.80, but remove the option of funds confiscation by your system. This way you will make happy both customers who are not willing to play down their balance to zero and the luckiest ones who manage to win big with their very last spin. Sounds as reasonable compromise to me...

I doesn't matter if it concerns a reputable brand such as 32Red or not, what matters at the end of the day is whether each and every customer gets a fair deal and service. And if you requested a permanent account closure and agreed to follow their procedures /if any/ and they refused to do that, then you are free too fight for your rights, which were obviously infringed by the casino in this situation.
