  1. I skipped over this topic a few times as I saw it was created in 2014, the last update is going on for 5 years ago 2018. It seems this is still an active competition, are all the details in the original post still valid?
  2. The online gambling sector has a filthy history of exploiting and scamming players so anything that can reassure the player is a good step forward. As you say most don't understand the provably fair system, you are correct about that. If the player doesn't take a copy of the server seed before they enter their own seed, the casino have the opportunity to change the results when the player is betting. I would say less than 5% of players are aware of the important concepts concerning Provably fair games. Many just trust that its good that the casino has that as an a feature and trust that it is working correctly. My issue is I was promised a provably fair game, which I did not get. The bet verification system is a substantive aspect of those games, and many players do opt to play there because of that system. I don't feel that its acceptable for the Casino to just casually shrug off the fact that my bets are unverifiable, while promoting the Provable Fairness of their site.
  3. The casino uses a bet verification system which they cheekily refer to as "Provably fair", a misleading term as it doesn't in any way prove fairness it simply allows the player to verify that the bet results have not been manipulated by the casino. How the Provably fair system works The players bet results are generated using a publicly available algorithm which needs 2 inputs to generate that chain of results. One input is from the casino, "the server seed", the casino encrypt their server seed using sha256 and present that encrypted seed (hash) to the player upfront. The player then chooses their own "player seed" and gives that to the casino. The casino now has both inputs required and generates the chain of bet results for the players games. Although the casino knows what the players seed is, they can't change their own seed to get a more advantageous set of results, because the player has the hashed version of their seed. The player can change to a new chain of results at any time, and it is at this point that the casino will supply the player the non-encrypted (non-hashed) version of the casino's "server seed". With both seeds the player can generate the set of game results, on the casino's site or via a third party website, and compare them to his bet records to verify they are the same. The point of this system is to encourage players to play at any casino that offers "Provably Fair" games. If the casino cheats by changing the bet outcomes, the player can find out by verifying the bets. My issue is they pitched to me a provably fair game which as it turns out is not provably fair because they are unable to provide me with the non-hashed version of their server seed. Without that there is no way I can verify the casino did not cheat. So the game was not provably fair, at least not for me on that particular seed. *Note: It is not possible to actually unhash a sha256 encrypted seed, as Sha256 is one way encryption. When a player requests the non-encrypted version of the server seed to verify the bet results, the casino simply supply's the original non-hashed version to the player, which I presume they store in a database somewhere. The casino refer to this as unhashing which is not technically correct, it's not really an issue but where money is details matter.
  4. I play one of the provably fair games at an online casino. They advertise a specific range of games as provably fair, one of which I play almost exclusively on that site. They have a "unhash Server Seed" tool which allows players (after they have changed seed) to get the unhashed version of the server seed. That then allows them to verify their bets on site or via a third party bet verifier. However I entered a previous hashed server seed, which I took from my bet archive, into their unhash tool, and I just get an error. I spoke with the one of the devs and basically they can't unhash that server seed. So I am unable to get the unhashed version of that server seed, and therefore I am unable to verify my bets, which means those bets are not provably fair. So basically they advertised a game as being provably fair, and I played that game assuming it to provably fair, but now I find out it is not provably fair. Would it be completely outrageous to ask for a refund?
  5. I did yes thanks for all the work you put in on that. I can see its quite a headache. Next year I'd suggest a competition that puts less stress on the organisers. Happy new year by the way!
  6. my favourite Game is Bustadice, thre are many copys of it now, on stake.com they call it Limbo. But bustadice for me is the best, its designed specifically to facilitate running scripts, which I like and it only accepts bitcoin, which Im good with also. The other thing is there is no KYC bullshit. I have never had withdrawal problems there ever. But i guess for most people their favourite game is the game they won most money on, so its the same for me with bustadice. The first time I played there I knew I could beat the game and the house. The rest is, as they say, History
  7. Casinos always changing payment processing partners, as many of the directors go to prison, so I'm sure if you wait a year or two some withdraw option will become available to you.
  8. Not winning is a kind of winning without a prize. Chance of not winning was 77% a good chance. Congrats to all the winners and not winners winners.
  9. A player contacted me last week, he thinks his KYC verification data has been shared to other casinos in the online sector. He had a disagreement with a casino and they banned him. When he went to sign up at a new casino, as soon as he sent his Personal details they banned him straight away. He was only registering to sign-up to the casino. Reading their Privacy statement I noticed they say they may share player data with existing or potential stakeholders. (which is basically anyone) Does anyone here have experience of this? Edit: I changed "one casino" to "a casino" because "one casino" creates a link to that casino, and that is definitely not the casino I take issue with in my post.
  10. I notice in your profile picture you are performing on your knees, I've never been to Bulgaria so was wondering if that's how Drag artists perform there.
  11. any good, I'd like to try that one, I just need lock up my valuables first,
  12. when I used it I just copy and pasted from the casino's Terms of Service, it took a minute or so for it to process the document, but it worked ok for me. Just bear in mind it's a University research project and they are training the model. So I'd say it will have it's breakdown moments. Or that casino document just blew it's mind lol
  13. I want to Win I have never been banned from any real casinos, except one in Cambodia, but that's a bit of a long story, so I don't think it would count anyway. Forget I mentioned it.
  14. Vote for me and if I win I will do that thing that you asked me about, unless of course the economics no longer make sense at the time, but that never happens, in real life very often... full disclosure it could happen just saying... but I don't think it will.
  15. Sorry I just realized I posted this in the wrong section... sorry, if a moderator would be so kind as to move it to the general section, thank you. "..it's in the Terms of Service, which you agreed to." seems more often to be the last word in any casino dispute with a player. I happened upon a research project hosted at the Law Department of the European University Institute. They have created a bot called CLAUDETTE which you can feed legal documents from online businesses such as; Terms of Service documents, Privacy statements, Agreements, Contracts etc The bot will evaluate their compliance with the EU’s unfair contractual terms law and the personal data protection law (GDPR). Highlighting any clauses that it deems to be unfair. I fed it the Terms of Service and Privacy Statement from one online casino and it returned 19 clauses which were not in compliance with EU policy. I won't post a link to the bot as it is against forum policy, but google is your friend. Anyway I just thought it may be a starting point for someone trying to build a case against unfair treatment by a casino.
  16. Askgamblers missed an opportunity of a lifetime there to create a brand identity that would have catapulted it into world wide recognition. However. its not too late, they have my email address. No tshirt design? and what is it a gambler is to wear while gambling about? I feel the marketing team could up its game a little.
  17. hmm when I type the words one casino it puts in a promotional link for One Casino, which is against the rules I think.
  18. hmm I don't think its in the rules, but I probably should read them first... Well I read the rules and Im pretty sure Ive broken them all so far this week. Sorry
