Has Anyone Closed Their Account On Purpose With Success To Stop Gambling ?

Hello everyone, long time no see.  So I know I have posted here before about wanting to stop gambling I really do. I currently only use Oshi Casino and BitStarz. I love both of them they just don’t provide enough providers for bitcoin users. I’m wanting to close my account but I’m worried I would want to come back.  Have any of you been successful with closing your account and really stopped online gambling ??

As long as you don't Self Exclude you can normally just re-open a lot of them.

Bigger issue here is that if you really want to stop you need to get out of your head the idea 'open later': all or nothing, that wee voice is just the addict calling.

For example, i intend on stopping playing this May - personal circumstances such as new house, new job and a few other things mean that all my spare cash for a time period will be diverted into other things. I'll probably just Gamstop for a year to save any temptation. But i'm aware that after the year, should i try and re-open, i can see some casino's may not allow me - it is what it is.

Yeah I completely agree with the above post. Worrying about going back to them is one of the issues here. If you manage to overcome an addiction you should never want to go back to the thing you were addicted too. Other than considering closing your accounts, have you considered any other kind of help?

Haha, I'm a starving artist. I live off of the expired free spins on games people don't want to play anymore 🤣

Just searching your own terms and conditions to make sure that doesn't contravene them.....

Yep - Found it....just sits under 'payment method must be in your name, as do FS'

Back to eating cat food Olle.

Hi there,

Just throwing in my five cents here.

What would be the reason for you wanting to close your account with us? Would it be due to you wishing to stop gambling altogether of fear of becoming addicted?

Olle

Hi Olle! Sorry for the delay. I feeling it’s because the lack of providers for bitcoin users.

Hi there,

I'm sorry, but that answer doesn't make a lot of sense looking at your original post where you stated:

" I’m wanting to close my account but I’m worried I would want to come back.  Have any of you been successful with closing your account and really stopped online gambling ??"

That doesn't sound like you wanting to quit based on the lack of Bitcoin games, but rather it sounds like you're concerned about your gambling habits. Please don't take it personally
but that's my interpretation.

I'd appreciate it if you could hand me your BitStarz username at your earliest convenience.

Olle

I remember @Feeshmon had some topics where he was talking about taking a break from gambling, which sometimes all of us do. I once wrote on Pokerstars Trivia Chat that Blackjack destroyed me today as I lose 90% of hands and they blocked my account, took me 2weeks to get it back as they thought I'm addicted.

Not gonna argue or anything with your decision pretty sure he could get his account back by just saying "I'm not addicted, it was just misunderstanding", but still nice to see you care about(RG).

You guys take Responsible Gaming serious but on the other hand from all I read so far, he is from the USA?. There is no way that Bitstarz is letting people from the US deposit and play using any payment method in his situation BTC. So how is he able to play? @OlleBitStarz

Hi there,

Sorry for the slow reply, but sometimes I don't get notifications _(

Yes, that would be one of the suspicions as well, but he didn't confirm that for me. BitStarz has been very clear from the start that we do not accept US players.

curious about how many hands you played that day to make it 90% of them were losing (also was it live dealer or computer blackjack) btw when it comes to blackjack it should be like this or very close to it by a one or two percentage points here and there:

Depending on the exact rules, using correct basic strategy the player will win 43.2% of his hands, lose 47.9% and push 8.9%
Factoring out the pushes, the player wins 47.5% of all resolved hands and loses 52.5%

Around 10-15hands.I wish I recorded it so people could laugh at least, 10-15 hands-on an empty table. At one point dealer was just shocked that I keep losing if my balance was higher I would probably lose even more.
