Withdrawing money from BitStarz!

Recommended Posts

What a rigmarole it is to withdraw money from BitStarz. After taking my deposit with ease and requiring no personal documentation they now tell me I have to supply a photo of this that and everything else to make a withdrawal - even to the same credit card the deposit was made from and it's the same amount as well.  Never had this problem with any other casino. Flippin ridiculous.

Hey there,

Hmm, I believe you either never read the terms and conditions which you accepted when joining BitStarz or you are chasing some other goals posting such nonsense here...

The point is that if they want verification for withdrawals they should expect it for deposits.  WTF reads the fine print when they sign up to play any online casino. I couldn't even deposit at SkyCityOnline without providing the usual documents - why don't any casinos who expect documents for withdrawals do that?  That would ensure that anyone wanting to play at any casino would be aware of the verification requirement without having to read the rules about withdrawing money. Anyway I solved the problem by allowing crooked Evolution Roulette take the money. lol  I played 4 tables simultaneously taking zero only. Left it on autobet and went out to do some gardening. Came back not too long after to find they have gobbled it all up and I didn't really care that much. < foul language removed >

WTF reads the fine print before they play? Well a sensible person with experience to be honest. Any person who doesn't can expect to run into problems like you have. If you don't want to read the fine print, don't moan about not reading the fine print later on. If you'd just read it in the first place you wouldn't be where you are now.

In an ideal world we'd all like to verify when we deposit to make withdrawals quicker but fact is, most casinos will get verification done at withdrawal stage. If you expect every casino to verify you when you deposit - you're in for a lot of disappointment.

Hi guys,

Sorry for a slow reply here, having the day off :)

I'm not sure what other casinos you have been playing at, but it's pretty much standard procedure to ask for ID and copy of cards used upon withdrawal. Although I understand it's not the most fun thing to do, it is part of a standard KYC process.

If you are not OK with providing ID and copy of the cards, it's understandable, but that means BitStarz is not the right place for you as we need it as a part of our license obligations. We'd essentially be breaking the law if we allowed you to withdraw without the standard KYC being done.

I can assure you that even though this might be inconvenient, your documents are safe and sound with us, and we do our best to verify with lightning speed so you can have hassle
free withdrawals going forward.

In case you have any questions, just reach out to me.

Thanks Olle - I think the poster was referring to why documents are not asking for upon deposit instead of at withdrawal stage. But one should already know that this is pretty much standard with any casino. Thanks again for your reply,

It's been over 24 hours since I've played at any casino and I feel okay. lol  I did look around for a new place to try but I think Bitstarz helped cure me of any addiction I might have had. They're only as bad as all the others really - keen to take your money without verification and then demanding it when you want to withdraw. It's back to horse and dog racing in the real world for me. :)

I don't realy see what the issue is though. If you are happy to verify when you deposit, what is the difference in supplying those documents when you withdraw?

Good luck with horse racing, grew up with it my father is still a huge fan!

For thousands of British thoroughbreds that are too old, too slow, too injured or not good enough jumpers, the end is brutal: a bullet through the temple or a m.e.t.a.l bolt into the side of the brain. Then their carcasses are l.o.a.d.e.d on to freezer lorries and driven to France, where their flesh is sold as gourmet meat. Most of the animals, which could live on average more than 30 years, are killed before their fifth birthday.

Hi,

Ah darn it, I blame the lack of coffee.

Some casinos may have to ask for this as part of their license requirements, but our license issuer does not require any verification prior to making a deposit. However, if you wish to have everything verified prior to you starting to play, we're more than happy to verify you prior to making a deposit if that makes you more comfortable.

I think many players visiting a casino wish to play right away, and they don't wish to send in documents and then wait for them to get verified, and then play. Perhaps we need to look into a smoother process for doing this so verification can be a very fast process. Currently, it's done manually.

So, with. all that said, it might be a good idea to send in docs prior to depositing and ask for it to be fully verified prior to withdrawing, but regardless of you sending in ID and Proof of Address + Cards, we still need to ask for proof of deposit which can only be provided if you make a deposit. But at least you'll know you're close to being verified once the bulk of the stuff has been sent in : )

What worries me the most here is your addiction remark. I hope you have contacted our support to get your self-exclusion in place, if not, kindly provide me with your username as I don't feel comfortable allowing you to play making a statement about addiction.

You're too late - I excluded myself from BitStarz forever.  You casinos make me laugh with your bullshit care about players with addictions. You only really start to care when players make negative comments. lol I could have been wanting to save myself from addiction by withdrawing the money in my account and what did you people do - expected me to provide documentation first.

Hi there,

Regarding charging something for deposit, it depends on the payment option you use. Also note that what's being charged to make a deposit doesn't cover the fee that is being charged to us by the payment service provider, so it's not like we're making a killing charging deposit fees for certain methods as we too have to pay them on our end.

I think I was quite respectful in my reply to you in regards to your addiction remark, so I think it's a bit unfair to say that my intention wasn't genuine here. Regarding you withdrawing, you having an addiction doesn't give a carte blanche not to have to provide any documents as part of the KYC process just like every other player. If you excluded yourself from BitStarz and still have money in your account. You can send the relevant docs to support and then we can cash you out and close your account for good.

Just some friendly advice. Being asked when withdrawing to provide documents is nothing new and you'll find that in pretty much all casinos online (and not asked prior to playing), so in the future if you wish to gamble (which I wouldn't advise you do consider your claim of addiction), double-check with the customer support how their KYC process work prior to starting playing so you won't be in this situation.

All the best,

Olle

I think Bitstarz is one of the best IMHO - Never had issues, withdrawing in my 5 minutes, just great service in general. Free spins Drop, 2nd Chance Spins etc etc... @OlleBitStarz

@pyst777 - Show me a casino that does not require documents, to say the least Bitstarz actually verify documents within 10 minutes or at least in my experience... I think Olle has been kind and his responses were firm and fair, however the way you you respond with offensive language just shows plain disrespect towards Olle! I am no expert but that's just my opinion.

It's okay, I really don't think you need to explain yourself any more. The OP clearly has a grudge and in my opinon if he doesn't want to provide documents when he withdraws then he may as well quit gambling right now because he's going to be disappointed. ALOT!

Can't please everyone and this is just one of those occasions.

Hi there,

I mean, I think that casinos should do their best not to have a laundry list of complicated terms, written in a way where only a lawyer could understand them.

So with that said, I totally get it if there's some obscure weird rule in the terms that a player could miss. This might just be my opinion, but I don't think a standard
KYC process counts as one of those weird and predatory terms, but instead one of the most common aspects of gambling online, along the lines of bonuses
normally coming with a wagering requirement. But maybe that's just me.

I'm sympathetic to your situation if you feel that the KYC process is alien to you, but I can assure you, you'll come across a KYC process at most casinos you'll
ever play at.

Hello Mr. OlleBitStarz, can you please tell me how much winning amount online casino will give a gambler without any pain for example 100$ to 1k$ weekly or per month limit, can you please suggest us  so we can stay low under the radar to not get kick out without any reason thank you? (sorry for my english if it's bad)

I imagine any good casino will not give you any pain, regardless of the amount...a casino that's happy to pay you 100 quid but suddenly start stalling on larger amounts would probably be an indicator that all is not well financially as a broad brush statement.

Bitstarz will follow KYC/regulations, regardless of how much you win

Hi there,

I mean, the whole "Staying under the radar" sounds a bit concerning to me. You'll always be subject to a standard KYC procedure, and after that, we don't mind
if you cashout 100 dollars or 1 million dollars. But asking for KYC is standard anywhere you go, and we do not intend to make it more complicated than it has
to be :)

Olle
