I hate that feeling bro - Not just with Napoleon, but many games where a scatter messes up a extremely good combination. I remember back in the day on Next Gen games, when 5 wilds on a payline would pay x5000 and scatter always ruin the dammmnnn combo.

Don’t know if it’s poor game design because it’s more likely to annoy a lot of people rather than have them thinking ‘I was so close I’ll go another 100 deposit!’

Thats the most annoying for me.. Especially Garga, during your initial win, you fill up 4 of those meters and then all special features play, but not enough to fill up the 5th meter for Garga... All 3 Demolitions or 3/4 Incisions after each with the same symbols, extremely annoying creating no wins at all. Or just before the 5th meter fills up and then NO GARGA...

At that moment the first 4 meters filled up, you thinking Garga is guaranteed, make no mistake, then game knows how to get out of Garga.

Aaaah...but Napoleon isn't the only rascal doing that sort of 'teasers'...I have played some other games that would land 1 and 2 reels full of Wild symbols, on reels 4 and 5...but creates no wins at all! Are all that by coincidence? Nope...I would most probably say 'by design'!

The sceptic would think that they know how problem gamblers minds works : most normal punters see a spike in activity in the brain when they win. PGs have the same, but not when they win, but at near misses...

Surely the casino industry wouldn’t exploit PGs in such a cynical and unethical manner.

Don't know where you're based but 'compensated games' are not permitted in the online world in the UK, per the remote gambling standards.
