Which sequels are better than their predecessors?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I've been thinking lately of games I'd like to see have a sequel but then that acually got me thinking that I couldn't come up with a very long list of games where the sequel has actually been better than the first one!

Shall we make a list? I'll kick it off with one that I think -

Jack Hammer 2 is better than Jack Hammer 1. Still love JH2 actually, think I always will but the wins on JH1 are just poor.

Your go...

Naaah...there is one more, besides Jack Hammer 2...it's Domnitors Deluxe! The free spins play in Domnitors is absolutely rubbish, then they quickly resolved that with a Deluxe version...nonetheless, both games are still rubbish! Hahaha. ?

Danger high voltage 2 - well an iteration of it, is out this year - It will be rubbish.

I prefer TS2 to the original but that’s about it.

What they should do it take the weaknessnes from the original; get rid. What happens though, in order to not be accused of being unoriginal, is change the maths, add a new mechanic and it invariably never works.

Maybe they should ask Scorsese as to how he made the Godfather 2

Ahh now I prefer TS to TS2 although I do like them both TS has been much kinder to me than it's sequel.

A game I always hoped for a sequel to was Avalon as the first one is a classic but MG majorly let me down with it's sequel.

When it comes to newer games rather than the oler generation I actually can't even think of just one.

@Afi4wins I thought you might have said Captains Treasure - I prefer the first one but I know you like the second.

Why I didn't mention Captain Treasure and the Pro version is simply because the 2 games are NOT similar at all, just as for TS/TS2 and Avalon/Avalon2...yes, they are sequels in name, but each is on a different gameplay format. so I wouldn't call such games are sequels of the original...just another version.

But then again, perhaps your intention of this topic wasn't to be THAT specific, so yes, they are all sequels in general, hehehe. 8)

From an RTG perspective Bubble Bubble 2 is much better than Bubble bubble from payment perspective and multipliers in the game.

Also Ancient Egypt classic is better than the normal Ancient Egypt, because with the first 1 you get 3 options , 2 coin wins and free spins, so your need to choose correctly whenever in bonus mode, because free spins in much better than a coin win. With Ancient Egypt classic you always get free spins.

Although the free spins pays bad in Classic, its more or less the same and the coin win is very low as well, unless you lucky and get a x50 coin win.
