NetEnt launching new MAX slot line

Recommended Posts

Sooooo.... Not sure how many of you already know about this but thought it be cool to share it here since NetEnt often comes into conversation here,

They're launching a new MAX slot line! So they'll now launch one game but in two versons the normal version and a MAX version for anyone who wants to play for bigger wins. And, since I know most of you don't like the paytables NetEnt offer I thought this may be of interest to you.

The first game launched in MAX will be BerryBurst next month! Quite interesting to see how it will work I think?

I've wrote more about it HERE for anyone who is interested. What's your thought on this guys?

Don't think anyones had all the bars on Starburst, so that chances of the above happening i imagine will be low

It won't make me rush to play them unfortunately. The problem is their low paying guff is now engrained onto the minds of gamblers and will require a massive shift of consciousness. The other problem is that they can tag this as MAX etc but many people, having played their rubbish (Finn/Asgardian Stones and the rest), will simply not believe it. Happy to be corrected though.

I'm not sure of the need for it to be honest - they developed probably one of, if not THE, best game in DOA. They came really close with Jungle Spirit (a few tweaks and it was there) and still have really good games in Wild Rockets and Secret of the Stones.

Personally, they'd have been better taking the maths/mechanics of the above and applying it to their new releases.

Maybe it will work but i'm sceptical. Primarily for the reason that it's being developed by a company who appear to have lost their tether in terms of understanding what players like - I'd a look at their annual report and their management commentary shows a company who do not know who they are anymore (a comment by the CEO read 'Jumanji' has been well received. Really, by whom? A 3 year old goat?)

To be fair, they are trying something but for people who are used to high payouts in BTG's/Novomatics/Merkur/PNG, they have some miles to go.

And to try such a new model on a game that could have been fathered by Starburst isn't the best idea IMO.

Time will tell (or rather the second quarters figures will  :p )

And the fact that Leo Vegas have seemingly deemed them surplus to requirement isn't encouraging (what's the deal with that? Apparenetly they're not making a comeback on that site  :o )

I doubt this will be of interest to players.

How about they actually make some of their existing games available in Max, take CFTBL for example. Because currently all their previous releases who has the "Max" potential does not pay a thing these days, unless you bet below $0.60?

So not interested and to start of with BerryBurst - Come on get real. Release something to look at for the trial at least.

Also every week I watch the Casino grounds videos of the biggest wins for that specific win, however 1% of the time will those video feature a Netent slot with a really huge win of x500 +.

In those videos, you will find Play N Go, BTG and even ELK Studios appear more often these days. Listen to that ELK, who produced really bad none winning games in the beginning.

Agree, games providers are trying to invent something new to draw our attention but knowing what they are going for made me kinda skeptic about their 'inventions'.

What would be an interesting new thing is 'slots collaboration', a similar concept like Yggdrasil's Jungle Books but wider. Imagine you are playing Jack and the beanstalk and Gonzo decided to take a visit added up to 5x multiplier in the next 5 spins etc. Aaah what a dream...what a dream I have.

And I am definitely one more player who has lost 99.98% of my playing interest in NetEnt games! Call them whatever they want...MAX slots...HOT slots...whatever...but as far as I am concerned, those terms are meant for NetEnt only, NOT FOR CUSTOMERS/PLAYERS.  <_<

Other game providers have certainly caught up and push NetEnt way back behind them, and I wouldn't be surprised if NetEnt keeps falling further back in the race. The new CEO hasn't achieved anything better either...  :p

However, it would be interesting to see for real if those MAX slots would indeed bring maximum wins back to players...but I doubt it.

Exactly....the fact that they feel the need to make a second type of game that basically 'may pay well' kinda says it all!

I don't see many other providers releasing games with the tag 'here's the rubbish version and there's also a not so rubbish version'.

All software providers exist to make profit and, maybe other providers have been cuter with it, but Netents releases over the last few hears have been so obvious in their money grabbing it's eye watering.

Listen; they're still a massive provider, market share is still sub 30% etc etc but that ain't for lasting. But if they think this a Megaways concept that's going to stop the tide of their decline, i think they're wrong.

Nokia were once market leaders - look how it went for them - time at the top doesn't last long if you don't move with the times  B)

I can't see myself playing the MAX versions unless like already mentioned above they were to launch these on some of their older games. I'm still a fan of NetEnt, contrary to the rest of the forum and I still love my old classic games, they're pretty much the games I always turn to when in need.

But I guess we'll see if NetEnt have anything to pull out of the bag with this one over time then...

5 Wild Reels...woooo...that looks interesting indeed...but max single win is still only 2000x total bet!  :p

... Which is now clearly indicating IMHO that NetEnt is trying (at least) to deliver a slot (released in the recent 2 years) which is in fact capable to produce some serious wins, wasn't even dreaming of one having a x2000 potential. :p

Call me incorrigible optimist, but I got that odd feeling this game is about to become an often guest in our winner screenshots threads as soon as it got released. Anyone fancy betting with Guru?... :D

My guess is that it'll be as popular as Starburst itself! Those 5 Wild Reels are definitely way better than just 3 Wild Reels of Stars.  ;)

Even way better than just winning x500 your bet for full screen of bars.

Now does that mean everytime a wild lands, then its a another re-spin?

I mean on Berryburst, if you get full screen wild, will you win the x2000 and then another re-spin with wild in place, which means x4000?

Another free Respin after getting 5 Wild Reels?

Naaaah! If it is indeed possible, it would certainly have been shown in that promo video! Those 2 extra Wild Reels came after the 3 Wild Reels. Don't think 5 Wild Reels would ever come in one go! I can count on that to be true!  :p

So, what's the minimum coin value on the MAX version then because I still can't work that one out?

My guess that would still be 0.01 coin value, at $0.10 bet per spin for the 10 paylines, which is most preferable.  :D

I guess the Coin Value ill not be affected in the different versions. I think the Max version is going to be highly volatile, while the normal versions are small to medium payouts...

I’ll answer that...

No, it won’t :-p

If they start rolling in on screenshots and forms I’ll reassess ;-)

Oh, NetEnt again. They did an impressive progress but I still don’t trust them. The main issue is that slots are extremely hard to beat. Sure, I know that slots have high house edge but when I gamble with Playtech or Microgaming titles, it seems easier to get prizes starting from a few coins. With NetEnt, it’s almost impossible to progress after you got a single successful payline. Like the company reduces the chance of winning extremely. Don’t like it.
