Rewards for removing negative reviews?

Recommended Posts

I have today received a private message from VIP stakes manager Mark offering me "freespins" to remove a negative comment I left on there welcome bonus. The casino have used AG private messaging system to offer me this.. I contacted AG live help who said that they wouldnt get invovled as it is up to the "player" whether they wish to accept such an offer..

Now my problem with this is that I believe this undermines the whole ethos of what we are trying to achieve here at AG considering as "players" we have to click a box accepting that states

"I declare that my review is based on my own experience and represents my genuine opinion of this casino. I'm not a casino employee and have not been offered any incentive or payment by the casino to write this review. I understand that AskGamblers has zero-tolerance policy on fake reviews"

Surely this kind of action is just as bad a "fake reviews" as the information provided on the site would only be positive. I believe AG should be more willing to tackle this kind of tactics..

Has anyone experienced anything similiar?

Hi Antonio, First, in answer to your question - No I haven't experienced anything similar but I do believe live chat has given you the only advice we can really.

We can't control how casinos respond to the complaints left on our site and I'm not sure if there is anything in place regarding this as our other admin Valdes deals with reviews.

However it was me I wouldn't accept the offer of free spins if the review you left is truthful then you shouldn't delete it.

I think it's not the way you think mate. First, we have different opinions about casinos. In reality if you're true to what you said you will stand for it no matter what right? Your feedback is important for them so if they can adjust their casino or if they need to improve their service they must do it so. If you will read all of the casino reviews from every section you will see that they have negative and positive feed backs you can't say that they're bias and please consider the fact that we're subjective to our feelings and so the reaction of every casino representative.

Maybe in my opinion they just want you to make feel good about the welcome bonus that you said and they think that free spin bonus will help. I don't think it as a bribe mate because your review is related to what they're offering for you.

Again, the feedback that you gave was important that was the reason why they respond to what you said. If you're observant you will see that some of the casinos that have reviews don't have a representative to see the feedbacks of players even if it's bad of good. That form of response from the casino was in my opinion worthy.  ;)

Don't get me wrong mate, I already encounter the same scenario where the casino that I made review private message me but they didn't bribe me instead they ask my suggestion about the negative feedback that I wrote and that's great for they think of their players suggestions.  ^_^

Hi there Antonio and welcome to AskGamblers.

Thanks for sharing with us, I'll make sure to check that with the relevant casino rep asap and explain such actions are in a direct violation of the AskGamblers Posting Guidelines and our overall conception and beliefs how player's feedback is supposed to work in general.

However, I hope you realize there is no way our team could be held responsible for the actions of a representative of an online casino, we have zero control over that process and all we could do is to take the according measures once we become in aware of the relevant issue when a player reports it.

Hope the above answers your concerns.

Let us know in case you need further assistance.

The review stayed.. I would never have considered removing it.. I use the review section as a guage of whether to trust a casino or not.. Considering I use this tool for that purpose for me to remove a negative comment would me be selling the other users of the site short..

On another note the casino manager got back in contact with me to advise the freespins where not a bribe but compensation for my time.. Although I must note this compensation was not available should I not chose to remove the comment.(i think we can all commend there word play).  B)  B)

Haha, good for you dear. I understand no casino wants to read bad reviews about themselves but casinos can reply to their reviews and this should have been the right avenue for this. Well in IMO anyway

Ofcourse no casino wants bad reviews, it's a bad publicity besides you can't satisfy everybody. There's always someone who will write bad review regarding their bad experience with them. I must say though, some of the bad reviews were unfair simply because they didn't read the terms which is very important to read before signing up.

As I said mate, I hope that we sometimes never underestimate the scenario faster. Even if it's right or wrong still our decisions/actions needs time and make realization. ;)
