Losing is inevitable

Hi

Most of you probably already knew and made your peace with this.

But after over 5 years of gambling, I have just realized that: Losing is inevitable.

All these years I've been trying to figure out a way to earn a steady profit without losing, but in my search for the perfect slot-routine I have always lost. I have won a lot, but when I thought I had found a bulletproof routine, I wound up losing.

This past month I have played with low stakes, and increased my startin balanceg slow and steady. The mistake I made each time, is that I didn't withdraw any money. I just kept raising the stakes. Now that I realize that losing is inevitable, I think I should play until I have a reasonable profit, withdraw and then start over. This way, when I do lose, the loss won't be so big.

I think this lesson will really profit my gambling future.

I'm not looking for any answers, just wanted to share my experience :)

Maybe some of you can agree or disagree. Maybe you have experienced the same epiphany as I have. Let me know

Okay...okay...I'm the first to admit...that you are not alone!  ^_^

In our quest to find the best possible way to play slots to win, we probably have tried various ways and methods, various 'magical system's and whatnots, only to find out in the end that nothing can really work.  :(

In my case, I found one way to make my money, but that only lasted for about 2-3 years...then Playtech found out...and it's now all just history!

I've even tried using a 'revolutionary system' that guaranteed over 90% success rate...yet my first attempt using it failed straight off!   Don't ever be conned into such 'fail-safe' or 'revolutionary system' that guarantees you success. You will lose your money and that system would not refund your loss either. A big blardy SCAM!!!  :p

Count me in the club... :)

After well over a decade of gambling video slots online I'm still learning from my own mistakes and you what they call someone who's learning from own mistakes right. :D

The good news though is that I managed to put most of my gambling sessions into total control over the last couple of years and 2016 especially. The result is staggering as I am managing to put my gambling finances over absolute control /for the first time ever!/ as well as being ahead /oh, yes!/ for most of the time - two things which have always been a problem.

In short, losing is inevitable, yes, but there is a small chance of success after all. Tiny, tiny chance but it exists sorenjo mate and you just need to find your own way to find it. :good:

I still remember watching a friend playing online slots a summer day in a quiet apartment  at Crete. I told stop it man and if you dont want to stop it do it better. so I took controll (paying the smart guy) and went for secret of the stones or as we then called him netent's old guy. I told that the perfect strategy was 3 bets at each coin and then going up. so 3x0.25 3x0.50 and 3x1.25. at second 1.25 spin scatter win appears the result 340 euro win. I was thrilled! beginners luck got me my vacation for free.

So a month later I signed up at almost every casino there was. I won I lost mostly won but i consider my self lucky. I dont win like the huge wins I see on screenshots here but I dont bet as much. Win lose everything is in this game. the adrenaline when while you wait for the roll is the reason we do it I think and not the money we win because we will eventually gamble some amount back.

Its not a job... It not professional poker! You cant read your opponent. you play against odds gambled money at the past moments and old lady luck! take it for fun and you might get more. or less!

I understand you mate and you're not alone here. You know after I realized it before there was always a question that lingering on my mind.

"Why does we need to lose everything and after that find that they're valuable for us."

I think this question have many interpretations for different views but I hope that we learn a lesson from our experience.

I have been gambling for about 5 years and I am still learning. After my great win recently I have learned to restrain myself, so I haven't lost a great deal of my winnings. I am just enjoying it all, but that took me over 5 years to learn :o

Hopefully I have learned it. Only time will tell :)

The longer you play, the more inevitable it is that you will go broke. If you reach a balance that you would be happy to have in your bank, then withdraw it! I've been a bit silly recently after hitting some monster wins back around August/September time, which made me less happy with smaller withdrawals for a while. After missing out on several reasonably sized wins chasing something bigger, I've got my head screwed back on again now and am withdrawing 75% and just leaving a quarter to keep playing with when my balance reaches something decent.

Sadly, there has still been a couple of times I have regretted not making the decision to hit the cashout button, but this is the trouble with gambling afterall!

Since I started online gambling I realized its a big gamble.

It seems logical and obvious that your withdrawal money coming from those who lost their money.

Losing is part of the gamblers life. Even professional gamblers has their ups and downs in their gambling life. Even in poker you can still lose even you have the best skill in the planet.

Totally agree, and would like to add that is is indeed Poker where the biggest ever gambling losses have been encountered. ;)

Poker can be so frustrating, sometimes I end up calling an all in just out of sheer frustration thinking I'm being bluffed constantly... and of course the player will hit some outrageous two-outer on the river and stack me. However, sticking with the title - at least losing is NOT inevitable in poker, as there are plenty of players (so I hear....) who manage to win consistently especially in cash games.

Well, but loosing is part of gambling just as well as winning.

It would be no fun if you could only win.

Really!! You really think it would be no fun if you only won and never lost  :p  :p

The only way that anyone can get bored by constantly winning...is by playing with FUN MONEY!  ^_^

If I'm winning all the time, I won't have the time to be bored...I'll be too busy playing and playing...and shopping!!!
