Hi everyone,

I’m 19 years old and I’m looking for advice regarding a serious situation with Roobet.

I registered on Roobet when I was 17 and recently found transaction records showing that I deposited money before my 18th birthday.

I was able to gamble without completing full KYC verification, which was only requested approximately 18 months after registration.

I continued playing after turning 18 and eventually lost over €100,000. Most of my gambling activity took place while I was physically living in Austria.

I contacted Roobet asking them to investigate and consider reimbursing my losses. They rejected my request, saying I had confirmed I was over 18 when registering. They also referred to a Swiss address on my account, although most of my gambling took place in Austria.

I contacted them again but haven’t received a meaningful response. My account is now closed.

I understand that I declared myself over 18 during registration, but I was actually 17 when I started depositing.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? Is there any chance of recovering losses in these circumstances?

I would really appreciate advice from the AskGamblers team, community members, or an official Roobet representative.

I have transaction records and Roobet’s written response available for private verification.

Thank you for your help.

@davo777davp777 Hi there and welcome to the forum.

OMG! After reading your post, I must say that it leaves you in an unfavourable situation!

A far as the casino is concerned, you declared you were 18 when you registered, so that puts the casino in the clear in the eyes of the law. If you had completed your profile details correctly, the casino should have realised that you were only 17 and should have taken the correct steps to prevent you from depositing and playing.

Giving wrong info during registration is completely on you and you alone - the casino cannot be blamed.

As far as I can see, there's no way of getting your deposits back, but you can try your luck by filing a complaint here using the AGCCS facility, but don't be too hopeful though. Good luck!
