Stop Button on the online games ! What for ?

For which reason is on the slot machines and online games the stop button installed ? Do I maybe have a better chance to stop the bonus feature with my skills or does it not really matter what I do with this button ? 

 

Does somebody know how it works ?

Well this is a good question and one that often causes a conflict of opinion here at the forum. It's something we've actually discussed in great detail over the years and it seems we all think this 'STOP' button is there for different reasons.

 

Is the outcome of the spin already determined? Or does the STOP button affect the outcome?

 

I very rarely use this button now since I'm always in auto-spin however I used to use this button the most when playing Immortal Romance. For me I thought I got free spins more often when I used it - who know whether this is just me thinking it did or it actually did!

 

What do you think the STOP button is there for?

Unfortunately, no matter my effort, I couldn’t find topic dedicated to the Auto Play Mode vs Manual Spin Button and I am sure if such topic still exist admins will either provide you with best possible answer or link to the interesting topic we had.

MANUAL SPIN BUTTON exist for these players who want to play the way slots play in land based casinos and I think its very important to offer that option to all players because we switched from land to online .

 

These algorithms for slot machines are a predetermined and it cant affect your game play.

i like stop button on some games which doesn't have quick spin option in menu.. i use this button sometimes as quick spin button; but  i also belive that no matter if you pressed it or not - the result will be the same

I have already discuted this here in the forum, and I know I sound supersititious, but in some specifical slots I like to use stop button when there are 2 scatters on first reels intending stop all resting reels at the same time in order to get my last scatter; I think it has worked well for me on some WMS slots and from some another providers, but I may be wrong. However, I still like to use stop button when I need the last scatter .

Mate, Casino slots are determined by their algorithm function. Whether you like it or not or stop it or not the program will always be the same.

Let's not complicate things, in layman's term we can't control the slot in our wishful thinking and using the stop button but let me clarify that the "time" can affect the algorithm of the slot by the way that was program.

What i mean maybe the programmer configure it to win in this exact time for example 12:01:07 am that can be possible cause we don't know how the programmer programmed it. This is just one factor, there are so many possibilities that a program wants it to programmed like how many credits was input and how many was output etc... 

There's no shame in not knowing mate, for years i basically learned something about how the slots works but still they're hidden in function. If you will ask me on what's the purpose of that stopping button i will tell you in the best of my knowledge that it can be accurately to quickly foresee the slot result or maybe to faster the slot result.

I still believe that STOP button is a psychological moment of gambling - it's purpose is to give an impression to the gamblers that they can actually have some influence on the spin outcome. But, as far as I know, each spin is already predicted by RNG as soon as the Spin button is pressed..

In my humble opinion, the so called "Stop" feature has been designed and implemented by the serious gaming software companies with the sole purpose to .... help gamblers scratching their tongues.

"Physchological" - That's exactly the word I was looking for when I posted but it just didn't come to me! I used to use the Stop button thinking it made free spins come in when in fact it didn't! It just makes you think it

Interesting hypothesis FruityJelena. Maybe that's right cause in a regular casino they always use "reverse psychology" to trick their customer to play again and again to their casino. It's like they used some kind of conducive environment inside for example using some air to make them more feel good "euphoric" to eagerly play. This is just a "hypothesis"

 or an intelligent guess who knows? Hehe
