fb_10153855863810962
I would like to know what you think about online casino bonuses. Do you prefer to play with bonuses or not ? And why ? Do you have mathematically explanation behind your choice ? Do you have a strategy to complete your wagering requirements ? Personnally, I think 100% bonus with 25X to 30X the wagering requirement is fair enough and should be taken. I avoid bonuses under 100% and/or bonuses with high wagering requirements like 40X deposit + bonus. GOOD LUCK GAMBLERS !!! The wager and the starting bankroll are perfect and with a little luck and the right games you can make a descent withdrawal. blondie and partyhummel

blondie
Few months back I was playing with bonuses quite rarely, but now I am playing mostly with bonuses. I almost never take bonuses with over 40x wager, I am absolutely fine with 40x or a bit more bonus wager, but when I have 40x deposit+ bonus it's like a mission impossible for me, so I try to avoid them. partyhummel, cocopop3011 and KIMIKAZI

Do you like to play with a bon So far, I usually play with bonuses and had good withdrawals. The problem I had so far is that I build nice bankrolls with big wins, but with WR, I lost half of it. I like to play with the casino money, but I'm still wondering what is the best option mathematically ? No mathematicians out there ? partyhummel
hajnrih
Well it's not just math in my experience the games behave differently when playing with a bonus and it seems much easier to win. Besides if you play without a bonus you have to make bigger deposits to have enough bankroll to try more games in case you don't win from the start. That way if you lose you lose a lot more than playing with bonuses. partyhummel and blondie
cocopop3011
Bonus vs No bonus is a tough one and it will always come down to personal preference. Going back two years you'd never see me depositing without a bonus, I'd go from new casino to new casino just so that I always had a bonus to play with. But how the tables have turned now! I also agree with blondie - a wagering with 40x bonus and deposit may as well be suicide! partyhummel
helenakp
Lately i play in only 2 casinos and dont take any bonuses. Most of all my deposits goes to Videoslots casino,so every Monday i get some money from the Monthly race which is on weekly period i guess they should call it weekly race and of course every Friday i get cash back as well, this month i have taken around 130 euros from cashback,so not too shabby and not to mention the free spins and the tournaments with free spins and tickets,so far very satisfied with them For the time being i dont need any bonuses, well if i think twice ,for only 20-30 euros the bonus i will get from any casino i have to wager it 1000 or more euros and we all know that most of that bonuses are mission impossible to be accomplished, well thats my opinion of course so not every player would agree with it blondie and partyhummel
fb_10153855863810962
OK, I made my own research and made some math. Let's say I have 100% bonus with 30X WR on the bonus only. I make a deposit of 100$ and can play with 200$ but I'll have to wager 3 000$. Then I play slots with an average RTP of 96 %. That means that theorically, when I bet 100$, I get 96$ back on average and that the casino keeps 4$. Now, I have to bet 30X 100$, mathematically speaking, the casino will get a return of 30 X 4$ = 120 $. That means that for every 100$ of bonus the casino gives you, it gets 120$ back. It's still a negative expectation. To have even chances, the WR needs to be no more than 25X if you play 96% RTP on average. If you get a 30X bonus, your average RTP needs to be over 97% on average. My conclusion, mathematically, it is better to play without a bonus unless the WR has a positive expectation vs the average RTP of the slots you play. Any comment ? partyhummel and TimmyN32
helenakp
Yes but sometimes when you are low on credits, your e-wallet is kind of empty and you are stacked with couple of euros, lets say 20-30 you are kind of forced to use some bonus, thinking i might do something with 40-60 euros then only my deposit of 20 or 30 euros, the chances are bigger ....on the other hand for only 20 or 30 euros bonus given you have to wager a lot of money... Dont know what to tell ,sometimes big role if i decide to take the bonus or not is in what kind of mode i am.I have been taking bonuses with huge roll overs but somehow i still maneged to play throw them and make some cashout...again still depends if its your lucky period or if your Lady Luck is near you or not. Didn't you notice that there are periods when no matter what slot you play it seems like you are winning on all of them and sometimes you lose on all of them, still Lady Luck is involved
fb_10153855863810962
Didn't you notice that there are periods when no matter what slot you play it seems like you are winning on all of them and sometimes you lose on all of them, still Lady Luck is involved Poker players like me call it variance. But sometimes it's true that everything I touch (poker, blackjack, slots) is on a winning streak and other times bad luck is sticking. Now, the question here is when am I on a winning streak and when I'll be on a losing one ? That's why I like to have more chances on my sides with some maths. But on the long term, we all know that the casino is the real big winner
ValDes
Hi Eric and welcome to the AskGamblers Forum. Using a bonus or not? One of the 'eternal' questions in front of any online gambler... Saw you math model from above, but you forgot a key 'ingredient' here. It's called Random Number Generator /RNG/ and it could dramatically change the way and time frame for the TRTP to come to its predefined stats. I mean, the TRTP could be set to 97%, but then the game could pay like 9700% RTP for the first 100 or 1000 spins and 0.0001% for the next 10000 spins for example. Highly unlike scenario indeed, but still a possible one and that is why some of our members already advised that eventually, it all depends on the mood of Lady Luck. By the way, if playing table games I don't like do it with bonus because contribution of that games are usually so low, between 1% to 10%, additionally they are rules limiting amount on bets and that's not good while you're at the tables. Any comment ? exactly right. bonus rules usually only extend playtime. not your chances of staying in the black numbers. wr enforcement is a haircut for your bankroll usually. I prefer bonus avoiding. only if its no rules bonus like froim some rtg i love to take it and bet huge stakes. fb_10153855863810962
cocopop3011
So it seems when it comes to bonuses we all play completely different and for different reasons! If I do take a bonus I never really look too much into it. I just play as I usually would and that's it. I'm either lucky and get through the wagering or I don't, that's it for me really partyhummel
fb_962406304718
Yeesh, I'm new to this site but that's been my number one question... Still debating with myself. It does seem easier to win big with RTG games, on a bonus, betting big. However I love the betsoft games for some reason, even tho they seem wishy washy and I don't want to play bonuses on those. fb_10153855863810962

Hey Wallace and welcome to AskGamblers. Actually, the whole bonus story depends on whether you are playing from within US or not. If not, then I guess RTG and BetSoft games would be probably among the last choices to take as there are much better options such as Microgaming, Playtech and NetEnt to name a few... So, to get the best advice you need to clarify first if you are US player? Awena and fb_962406304718

LeoDubbed
Some casino bonuses can be cancelled like SlotsMillion's. You play with your own money first and then with the bonus money. This kinda bonuses are the best and of course the wagering requirements are for the bonus money only.
cocopop3011
This thread has inspired our writing team with the latest blog entry Should you claim a welcome bonus at an online casino Have a read and let me know what you think. The most important thing I'm sure for all of us is the wagering requirements. Back in my early days of gambling I'd accept any bonus regardless of the wager nowadays I am extremely careful and I'll only pick low bonuses. More often or not if a wager is x deposit and bonus I'll say thank you, but no thank you. fb_10153855863810962
TimmyN32
I usually prefer not to take the bonus'... For instance there are a variety of bonus' from a variety off casinos. So, some casinos give you a free chip after you've made your first deposit. But there welcome bonus may be a 100% match w/30x WR. OK so I'm not gonna put my $25 deposit up to be wagered 30x just for another $25 to play on that has to be wagered as well. So always look at the bonus requirements. Some require the deposit and bonus to be wagered , some just the bonus . OK no rules bonus , I will take thoisw oin occasion. Seems good but they have terms as well. The initial bonus will be deducted and there is a minimum cashout. But definetly not to risky. OK then there are some casinos that offer low play through on bonus'. Usually 10-15x's WR, sometimes lower. I do consider those. If your a cards player or video poker player usually the match % is lower and WR are higher. So I take these factors and deposit size and Definitely check out ASKGAMBLERS. COM before depositing. Even though I've uses casinos before I always check for strikes against the casino before depositing. Thanks and good luck. cocopop3011
