Should demogame be the same as realgame? Casino said that they are not

I faced a bug in a slotgame, the same bug was in real game and in demo game. I screenrecorded the problem  in demogame and sent that to casino and below is the casinos answer. 

”Please note that the screen recording you shared was taken from the DEMO version of the slot, which does not reflect real-money gameplay ”

So is it real, that the demogames are not the same? I asked casino whats the difference, but they did not answer. I have always thought that demogames should be the same, otherwise its a scam to get customer to play real game?

I have said since many years ago that demo mode play is never the same as real mode play. Experienced players, like myself for one, can see the difference in the gameplay and the results obtained in demo play - they are always so much looser and much easier to get good wins!

Why? Maybe mainly because the actual RTPs of a game, any game, are not the same at any one time. The RTP in real mode is so much more condensed and heavier (more traffic) whilst in demo mode they are not.

No one can say for certain or know the actual reasons, but I do believe that the above is only one of the reasons.

This has been brought up so many times in the past about the differences between real and demo mode, and they should be the same.  Were you able to screen record the bug in real mode to show them? What was the bug?

bugs in demo games happen just as in real games

providers just don't bother fixing them, Iron Dog has bugs that crash the slot during the feature (in both the demo and real mode), sometimes it lets you continue if there is a spin remaining in your feature but if there is no spin remaining then you won't see the final win screen and there is no replay function.

Well I did record the realgame too, but I mistakenly deleted the both recordings and only got the demoversion back from trash. The slot has five lines and after a while of playing, part of the lines wont show at all, so it comes threelines slot.

Its a Netent game and I tried to find emailaddress to them so I could report and ask about it, but I didnt find any contacts to them.

Bugs happen in both demo and real games. And it's true that's RTP is absolutely different in real game, demo just gives opportunity to see how game looks like

Sometimes I encounter bugs when playing in real money mode, but when I try the same game in demo mode I don't find any problems. Demo mode is simply a tool to try out online casino games, learn the rules, and discover bonus features.

I think, during our AG demo play contests in 2025 which made us spam demo bonus buys for days, we have learned that they act identically to the real money version.

The only thing differing, is that the demo will usually be set to the highest RTP setting while the casino will usually have a lower setting enabled on real play.

In the past, certain providers would have far more lively demo versions of their slots but these shenanigans were at some point put an end to.
