What's in your head when starting to gamble online?

Hello, my fellow AskGamblers.

 

A bit of 'academic' questions this time from your beloved Guru as I'm planning to change the guru title with a Professor one very soon!

 

And sooo, what provoked me to ask you? Last night I was talking with an old friend of mine whom I didn't see nor hear long long time ago. We had a great conversation, it was all just fine when suddenly he hit me with this question - "Man, what's inside your head when you start gambling online?". And was like ready to answer him immediately, but then another portion of questions followed... And frankly speaking it was rather interesting answering him as it was something new for me as well, you know, trying to define what's really happening in my hand before a gambling sessions starts...

 

So, here's the questions and I would appreciate if you answer them sincerely and straightforward.  Thank you in advance!

 

1. What is the first thing to cross your mind when sit by the computer and start playing?

 

2. How it looks like?

 

3. What do you think in that moment? 

 

4. Are there any particular emotions? Positive or negative?

 

5. What feelings are crossing your mind? Fun, thrill, joy, anger, rage...?

 

6. Do you have a special 'recipe' or a 'spell' for a success before each session?

1. Money, lots of it! And speed, actually the speed to win those money.

 

2. Hmm, how does it look money? Well, a pile of money is always a pile of money.

 

3. Winning, definitely, and imagining some possible awesome winning combination of the game I have started to play at to be more specific.

 

4. Mostly positive at the beginning....and mostly negative at the end.

 

5. Excitement, rush of adrenalin, even rapid pulse for a minute or two. Sometimes a bit of a rage against my own stupid decisions...

 

6. Of course I have, I'm a gambler, for Christ sake! And of course, I'm not going to share it with you, cause you will all start to win MY money! All I can reveal is that my gambling recipe for success involves a special song to start playing with, a special touching of the Spin button, etc.etc.etc/

well I kind know of your ritual Valdes,you always start your playing with left hand   am I right or am I right

here are my own vibration 

 

1.Ok this time I am winning big time  !

 

2. How does it looks ?! well I am imagining like this:  me all dressed up,lovely jubbly  ,going to the bank and  my eyes go out   ,from all the money has land on my account .

 

3.As you all know my favorite slots I imagine catching those strawberries  and the oranges   at the same time,on the Fruit Case slot ,so yes a lot winning combinations!

 

4.Well they have to be positive ,if i am having bad day ,there is no way that I will gamble  .

 

5.If I am winning ,of course the adrenalin raises  ,but if I start losing,then the anger raises  ,usually ,well it might sound stupid but I do feel ,will I win something or not .

 

6.If my left hand is itchy that day I always play  and 90% of that days I usually get bigger amounts and yes I have other rituals ,but of course I wont tell you my secrets

Okay, my turn!

 

1. First thing I think about is of course WINNING....and what slot to play first

 

2. Pre Pregnancy it would look like clothes, shoes, handbags and any girly accessories, Post Pregnancy it will look like nappies, wet wipes and sudocrem

 

3. Again winning...sometimes I think about what it would be like to win thousands in a single spin...in fact I often day dream about this

 

4. Yes, a mixture of emotions depending on where I'm playing and how much I have to begin with

 

5. Excitement

 

6. I don't have a special receipe, I simply play the slots I enjoy so then if I don't win at least I have taken the fun factor into account. Nothing worse than loosing your money in a boring way! At least if you have enjoyed your play time, you will have no regrets

2. How it looks like? I think what I could with a win. socialize more,eat out more and perhaps a holiday if its a windfall.

5. What feelings are crossing your mind? Fun, thrill, joy, anger, rage...? It depends how my session goes If I'm tired or not sometimes I can stay calm as I said it has different factors which will make for my reaction at that moment.

Yes I bankroll build on certain games and try and have a masterplan of which game to change to knowing one wrong move and it's all over even at min bet on games like I don't know Ragnarok,secrets of the stones to name but a few!

    All feelings between happiness   and sadness   , after the gameplay (when I've lost) anger at myself, because my strategy did not work

    I always step in with a plan, and I stick to it. I don't do voodoo or fortune telling cards
