Is it legal to require a deposit in order to withdraw winnings

Recommended Posts

I used a $50.00 bonus coupon code to play at Jungle Slots and did the required play through. In order to withdraw the winnings they want the FaxBack information form filled out,, but will not process the information unless I make a deposit. In essence, they want a deposit in order to collect winnings. Is this even legal?

I believe it is indeed legal - and will almost definitely be stated in their terms and conditions.

I myself have had to do it - at a Skill on Net Casino.

You should get the deposit back on top of your winnings - it's just they need a valid payment method in order to send you your winnings!

I understand the need of identification, however, requiring an actual monetary deposit in order to have them verify the information is not necessary. I have read several complaints where people made the required deposit only to have the casino close their account. No winnings. Deposit gone. Just because a corporation writes something into their terms and conditions does not mean that it is legal or enforceable. My question is not whether they think it is legal, my question is, IS it legal?

Hello and welcome to the AskGamblers forum. :)

Do you actually refer to Slots Jungle casino? If that's the case, yes, you are indeed obliged to make a confirmation deposit prior a withdrawal is allowed if a no deposit had been used. That's a standard procedure for most online casinos, accepting players from within United States and there's nothing to be afraid of if all bonus terms and conditions were thoroughly followed.. ;)

Hey beach girl :)

Welcome to our forum! I like your nickname  ^_^

Do you think of Slots Jungle Casino?

If yes, I suppose they are requiring a minimum of $21 deposit from you, to be able to withdraw your winnings? That's usual amount at RTG Casinos!

And yes, that is unfortunately their usual withdrawal requirement!
