raverbabe
You know what's just as bad as a pending withdrawal? Having reached your weekly withdrawal limit and still having over $2000 in your casino balance, then, getting that balance up to over $10,000! Then wasting it cos you keep playing it cos it's there and you get a big head. I have done this twice now and I could literally shoot myself for it Ouch, I would be really upset if I waxed $10,000 Think I would be using the "take a break" on that account to safeguard the balance personally but then again... if I did actually find myself in that situation I don't know if I would actually follow my own advice lol. So hard to decide when your "good run" is finished

raverbabe
They don't let you use the take a break function if you have a balance on the account, and you cant withdraw the balance either? What a scam....
JackElevers
I have read a lot throughout this thread that you should just 'learn to resist', or 'control your habits'. That's all well and good if you're able to do that, but what about those of us who do struggle with this battle from time to time. What genuine strategies or techniques are there to help you overcome it? Here's my two pennies worth! Not all are robust, but these are just some ideas that I hope help anyone who's interested in them. 1) Speak to others, friends and family - if you're withdrawing a sum you'd like to keep, let them know and get them to change your password until the period is over and then receive your new password once the money has entered your account. It's an arduous process doing this each time but potentially worth it if you get to keep your money? 2) Like others have suggested, try to think positively about what you're going to spend that money on. To take this further, write it down. Create a list and subject your mind to thinking that this list needs to be purchased. Hopefully that will encourage you to wait for your money. 3) Entertain yourself. Perhaps you need to learn what else you like to do outside of gambling? Granted, the dopamine levels shoot through the roof when we're playing but maybe, just maybe, reading a book, playing a console, hitting the gym etc. can take your mind off coming on and reversing that withdrawal! Hope these ideas help. JE
Switches1
With LEGIT casinos I've asked them to disable my account until the payout has cleared. They have always done it. However I would not ask that of raging bull casino of which I'm having difficulty getting documented and paid. I feel like if I did that with them they'd let me do it, then tell me I voided all payouts when I asked for a temporary account disabling or something like that. striker777
ive given back more winnings this way. thats the reason why online casinos have that 'pending period'. its not for security reasons or any other excuse they give. i hate that. if casinos had instant withdraws, theyd lose a ton of revenue. players would never reverse a withdraw because it wouldnt exist. just like making deposits, you fill out some info, click a button, and youve got the money back into your account in matter of seconds. i thought about this alot. mentally its extremely frusturating/annoying. instant withdraws would solve all these problems. ive been playing now off/on for over 8 years and out of all the casinos, there was only one that had this, casino extreme (rtg). but since i live in the usa, no more neteller, no more instant withdraws. It is a tricky thing, when you make a deposit it is instant, for the withdrawals this waiting cause trouble to you and winnings not only for the casinos, same stands with sports bets. I am playing for over 20 years in the industry and perfectly now the whole situation.
Kivan
Although I'm proud to say, this whole matter with reversing a withdrawal was never a problem for me, I think it's going to help a lot of people here. And here's my contribution. The best possible way to resist on the desire to reverse your cashout is very simple, but also very hard to achieve, maybe the hardest one, and it consist of learning yourself to control your gambling habits. As I have already posted it in another simillar thread (ValDes has quoted it above) - in gambling everything is a matter of self discipline! cocopop3011
manson
I got lucky and won 300 from Thrills casino last week and successfully fight the urge to reverse my withdrawal by keeping myself busy for the Holiday preparations but then I logged in to my betncatch acct. deposited to get their promotion and played a little less than an hour and bam! I won 1500. I am struggling not to reverse my withdrawal there since they just launched 1 of my favorite game and I really want to play it, I had a very good experience with them so far! wide game selection, promotions, and nice support team. I am thinking of just leaving at least half of it?? I came here for help and tryin to keep myself busy but all I can think of is reversing my withdrawal plus they did a pretty good convincing since I just requested for a withdrawal, and I know for myself that sooner or later, probably less than a week I would decide to deposit again so makes perfect sense to allow me to reverse that withdrawal as it reduces the costs, time and effort. See? now I am justifying my possible actions. lol.

Actualplayer
The easiest way to avoid reversing a withdrawal is to always play with a bonus/promotion. This way you have no reason to reverse any withdrawals.

pinnit2015
It would be good if maybe some casino rep's could chip in with their 5c over the rationale of 'pending' periods. When i started out online gambling I'm pretty sure the ability to reverse didn't really exist. I've heard some ridculous reasons for it - Butlers Bingo told me it's in response to player demand for it. Which is garbage. Another told me it was to perform checks prior to pay out - you can do that without a pending period. Videoslots pay me in about 3 minutes - maybe Dan @VS could shed light on how they can accept the withdrawal, validate it and get it into my account in the time it takes for eggs to boil, whereas others require 3 days? Business model, delaying tactics, revenue...who knows cocopop3011

Another told me it was to perform checks prior to pay out - you can do that without a pending period. ... If you need casino rep's feedback on the matter then it must be someone within the good, old viper style Microgaming casinos I guess... Seems like they are the only ''kids on the block'', with pretty decent reputation and strong licence regulations, but still applying these awful 24-48 hours pending periods. ... Videoslots pay me in about 3 minutes - maybe Dan @VS could shed light on how they can accept the withdrawal, validate it and get it into my account in the time it takes for eggs to boil, whereas others require 3 days? Business model, delaying tactics, revenue...who knows Huh, what took them so long?! There are at least several Direx NV casinos paying faster than that, often in less than a minute. Seriously, no one is questioning the top-notch quality of service which VideoSlots is delivering to their players. What bothers me is that this trend of seeking perfection and 101% customer satisfaction which they are chasing so hard investing huge time, money and efforts is still way way ahead of the mass industry trend of setting unnecessary obstacles in front of the ordinary players rather than treating them the way they are supposed to - excellent support, fast cashouts, clear and easy to understand rules! In fact, 2017 holds all the chances to be yet another record breaking year for AGCCS and what better attestation for the average quality of casino service than the number of players complaints... Sigh!

cocopop3011
First time I have ever reversed withdrawed I some how turned 800 into 3600 it is definitely risky. I like taking out small increments if I do. For example every time I won I would add to the withdraw if I had 2200 I would play with 200 and see where that takes me. I also went from 3000 back to 800 then to 3600. Probably better in the long run to not reverse and just keep your winninings because it will add up big. You were one of the lucky ones I went through a stage of reversing, many years ago now and major mistake and major loss in winnings meant I never done it again I never even feel the urge to reverse a withdrawal now. volendam101

Yea when I cash out now I pretty much set it and forget it. Now I still struggle from time to time racking up 1000 or more and being greedy lol but actual withdrawals I just lock out of my mind and go deposit again somewhere or what not and forget about it.
