Is it possible for a game to short change?

Recommended Posts

I don't want to appear greedy, but I'm now wondering if a bonus round on Dead or Alive (1) paid the correct amount.

I triggered the bonus round with a stake of £3.60.

Four sticky wilds landed on the top line during the initial 12 free spins, and on the last spin a 5th dropped in, giving me a wild line.  The 5 extra spins were awarded and on the 2nd spin another sticky wild dropped in on the middle giving me two wild lines.

I believed that a wild line was 1500 times the bet, but times two as it was the bonus round.

I ended up with a final tally of £11,813.

Obviously I was very happy but does it sound right?

First wild line on spin 12 paid 1080 quid

First spins of the extra 5 spins - Wild line paid 1080 quid

Last 4 spins when double wild line landed paid  8640 quid ( 2160 quid per spin)

1080 quid - Spin 12 Wild Line
1080 quid - 1st Spin Wild line (from Extra 5 spins)
8640 quid - Double wild line winnings (Spin 2 - 5 which is 4 spins)

10 800 quid - This is what your wild lines paid

The other symbol winning combination made up the rest of your winning balance

That would mean 11 813 quid total - 10 800  quid (Wild Line Winnings) = 1013 quid (other symbol 3 OAK, 4OAK and 5 OAK winning combinations)

So yeah that sounds about right, as 4 wilds pay about 30 x, and wild line pays x300 your total stake.

I hope the above explanation makes sense

Thanks for your response mate.  But how does x300 for a wild line marry-up with the pay table shown at 1,500?  (And as it’s DOA 1, the bonus round is x2 isn't it?)

Or am I missing something.

5 Wilds on a winning line pay 1500x THE LINE BET, not the total bet.

@1 pence coin value, it pays GBP 15. @40 pence coin value, it pays GBP 600 (GBP 1200 during each free spin).

So, in the first spin of the 5 extra spins, that 1 Wildline paid GBP 1200.

In the next 4 extra spins, the 2 Wildlines paid GBP 2400 x 4 = GBP 9600.

So the total win from the Wildlines = GBP 10,800.  The other wins add up to give you the final total win of GBP 11,813.

In Basic terms

1500 for wild line (x2 during free spins) which means wild line pays - 3000 your line bet, so if you placed a bet of $0.09 win would be $30 per spin.
