Are MGA license authority lowering RTPs requirement?

Recommended Posts

We all know that MGA license is the most respected license in gambling world. To get this license casinos need to follow a lot of strict rules. One of the rules is that the games cannot have an RTP lower than 92%. I just heard that since the MGA license authority has been getting less traffic from the past year or so they have decided that they might lower the required RTP for slots from 92% to a lower value. This will allow a lot of dodgy casinos with low RTP  to obtain MGA license. But apart from this will it affect us more. Any inside info @ValDes and @cocopop3011

MGA care so much for players they have approved this: what a joke, same as the UKGC

Liked this comment: a consultation, asking casinos and providers: would you like to earn more? 🤣 No Sh@@ Sherlock.

Wouldn't necessarily equate dodgy with low RTP: look at Videoslots, they bottom every flexi RTP and even have scratchcards on 50% etc.

Wonder how they marry RG with this as well

The UK has no minimum and unlikely they'll implement one, despite caring very deeply for players

Well, nope, they are certainly not and still have miles and miles and miles  to reach UKGC, GRA, AAMC to name a few.

Re the rest of this really shocking news, more info here - https://www.mga.org.mt/the-mga-streamlines-the-return-to-player-percentage-applicable-to-both-remote-and-land-based-sectors/

No further 'insights' here... Unless maybe the ''plot twist'' which suggests that instead of Curacao regulator upping up their legal game and requirements in order to show some good will stepping out of the gambling bizz shadows, it will be a battle with MGA for each and every new online casino popping out from now on since they will be both on the same level obviously. 🤑

if you're used to 96's, unless like me you do like Land Based, prepare for annihilation on 85%'s: it'll be beyond grim (though RTP and Variance/maths models need to be balanced)

You think your deposits don't last long now - ooft, folk will be crying out for the 'good old days of the 94's' 🤪

I remember playing at the old Oshi.io casino where they had RTP on every slot game and most of the play n go had RTP of 80 to 89. Reactoonz had 79%.

Now the website is updated. For a moment I thought it was my personal RTP but then I realised it was my first deposit at casino. Funny thing is I had 15 pinks on my 45th spin. Deposited 180 Aud and cashed out 536 Aud. This was the first time I wondered if RTP mattered to me.

So this is true? I am writing casino reviews for several sites and was of the opinion tha tthe MGA were a trustworthy licensing body. I have heard the stores of online caisnos supposedly being "Squeezed" at the moment, and lowering game RTP's as a result where possible, but anything less than 90% is daylight robbery in my book. If the MGA are allowing this it will have a dramatic effect on my opinion of them from this point forward.

Surely the UKGC are not allowing this?

So you don't have any valid info/proof after all?

pffff!!!! All my wins came from Curacao Casinos. This week i didn't have a single cashout by any mga related casino.

Might be coincidence but thats what it is

Now that you mentioned it, I am struggling to win on MGA casins, I only play Direx N.V now and some other Curacao with trusted reviews of course.

Well sir what happens when a tree falls in a forest. If there is nobody around to hear it does it make a sound?

I saw 79% RTP. I say this by swearing on every slice of pizza I have ever had and my lord knows it. I hope its enough proof.

Yeah last time i tried lost aroun 200. Triggered 4 bonuses got paid from 2 to 20x. Really bad lately with mga. Only bad thing with curacao licenced casino, is that if you choose a non trusted casino, you might wait a long time to get the money. 🙃

Don't take it so seriously mate, just asking where from you got that info, that's all. :)

Again, still don't get where have you seen that 79% RTP?

Well then maybe itv was my personal RTP. Some casinos do that. I think Video Slots does. But now oshi has changed their layout.

I checked their Rtp now and it says 94%.

I knew all along that the very low RTPs that you saw were not the game's designated RTPs, but most probably were of your own play, or of the current RTP of that game at the casino. Several casinos had that RTPs indicated on their website, just to give players of how good or badly that game has been doing. This is the same thing as how Highweb casinos display the hotness or coldness of each game. When it shows cold, I skip that game! Hahaha.

Ahaaa, now it makes perfect sense and clears the mist I guess cause that was definitely your current RTP based on your session/s at that moment.
