pinnit2015
Finally, a high profile case going all the way to the courts and, like many have said before, terms and conditions mean nothing if unfair and weighted towards the casino. Key point was BF were 'not unable to rely on terms and conditions': that's all casinos do a lot of the time, refer to t's and c's that, as above has shown, are without legal enforcement. I'd bet if other cases were brought to them, with things like taking 10000 off someone for breaching max bets by 10p etc, there'd be a good chance they'd favour the player as well. I'm sure the multi billionaires can afford it though - how miserable were they not to pay the guy. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-56663830 cocopop3011, Blackjax and ValDes 2

Waiting 3 years for £1.7 million is acceptable but cant stop pondering over others who have to battle for 100 to 1000 lost to software glitch and have to rely on ADRs where in some cases it wont even work in a players favour. There was a similar case in the US where a woman won $43million dollars on slot machine at an airport in Las Vegas and the company called it a software glitch and offered her a steak dinner. https://money.cnn.com/2017/06/15/news/jackpot-steak-dinner-katrina-bookman-lawsuit/index.html pinnit2015

Shiittt these days jobs gave people stress than that! Worried about retrenchments during covid (for example) etc- for a salary that is a crumb compared to what Mr Green is owed. The fact they offered him 60K as goodwill and to never speak about it again - Was a Red Flag IMHO - That gave it away they hiding something and if they do that, it must have happened before (Reminds me of Mike Ross from Suits) Thanks for sharing 2 hours ago, Blackjax said: I just read the article. This is the reason I hate Land Base Gambing and Prefer online gambling - There likely traces, records and evidence to everything when it comes to online gambling and I suppose better hope, as someone cannot hide, what the machine/slot knows/saves in the records or auditing purposes. But you right some people go through lenghty processes for a couple of thousands! - Look at whats his name? uurrhm - The Pogg guy with the King Billy Case for instance.... Makes me think of what @pinnit2015 said the other day - AskGamblers can offer you 200 euros for a 2x winner screenshot in the recent Bitstarz comp and people don't make the effort, whereas they can sit on live chat for hours, fighting for 5/10 free spins that wasn't credited - Absurd! pinnit2015, cocopop3011 and ValDes

An Ombudsman, similar to the financial sector, could maybe help bridge the gap in some places Fiekie247
ValDes
Thanks for sharing, Mr P, really really interesting read and case. IMHO, nothing will change for the common gambler thou and the Operators, ADRs and free, independent mediation services such as AGCCS for example will keep working in the same manner. And namely, terms are there for a good reason and must be followed, period. You noticed a predatory term, sure, here comes the official regulatory body which is responsible for granting the Operator's license - it's THEIR job to review any unfair/predatory/rogue term and ACT accordingly. UKGC is an excellent example in this process. pinnit2015
